Nice choices, especially the Beck. I'd really love to see the post-Luka albums from Suzanne Vega...Days of Open Hand, 99.9F, Nine Objects of Desire, Songs in Red & Gray, and Beauty & Crime. Also, Aimee Mann's solo LPs outside of Bachelor No 2, namely Whatever, I'm With Stupid, Lost in Space, and Forgotten Arm, etc (I know some were Mobile Fidelity but I missed them). Tori Amos' From the Choirgirl Hotel is currently a $300 record, so that, To Venus & Back, and Strange Little Girls would be great. Seal's 2nd album with Kiss From a Rose and Prayer for the Dying are imperative. And dammit if Matt Johnson can't convince Sony to reissue the The's albums after Soul Mining: Infected, Mind Bomb, Dusk, and Hanky Panky. Prince's Diamonds & Pearls and the Love Symbol album would also complete his Warner run outside the Graffiti Bridge and Batman soundtracks. Where is 10000 Maniacs MTV Unplugged? Huge record. Since you said Peter Gabriel, the Ovo album would be a wonderful addition, especially since Liz Fraser is on it. And speaking of Sinead O'Connor, definitely things like Universal Mother should be reissued, along with Faith and Courage, the She Who Dwells compilation, and Massive Attack's 100th Window, featuring 3 amazing vocal performances from Sinead. And finally, David Sylvian's Nine Horses need to reissue Snow Borne Sorrow yesterday! Many of these gaps are finally being filled in, but there are still many omissions that I consider necessities. Great video as usual!

Sinead O’Conner is a good choice! After her passing I learned she did a very well received Reggae album in 2005 with Sly and Robbie titled Throw down your arms. A lot of people have tried something similar and failed but after listening to the album on RUclips, I’m impressed. She maintains authenticity that others seem to lack. Billy Bragg & Wilco - Mermaid Avenue | I only have Vol. 3 on vinyl. I really think Vol. 1 & 2 could do with a more general release. Or even a Box Set of Vol.1, 2 & 3.
The Cure - Unplugged MTV | Probably the most amazing / innovate MTV Unplugged session of them all. I'm waiting over 30 years for this to get a release.
New Order - TOTPs Live Performances | I really hope someday a release of all New Orders "Top Of The Pops" will get an official release. It just that New Order insisted every time they appeared on TOTPs they played live, and those live versions of New Order's hits have some quite different nuances about them.
I certainly agree with Sinéad's "Sean-Nòs Nua" getting a vinyl release. Sean-nós is traditionally an unaccompanied Irish vocal style usually performed in the Irish language. Sean-Nós singing style is over 700 years old, and usually involves long melodic emotive words.
I think Sinéad's passing has hit Ireland [as a nation] quite hard. Ireland was a country that was Ruled by the Catholic Church right into the 80's. And, Sinéad was at the forefront of the fight-back against the Catholic Stronghold on the Irish Political System. And also her highlighting the Catholic Church Scandals in Ireland, and beyond. And for the majority of Irish Citizens she was vilified for her stances & activisms.
And only a few weeks previous to Sinéad's passing Ireland also lost another one of it's finest contemporary Irish voices in Christy Dignam of the band Aslan. Christy (who was in Palliative Care himself at the time) actually reached out to Sinéad when her son, Shane, passed away last January. Unfortunately she didn't take him up on his offer.
    Aslan - This Is
Finbar Furey & Christy Dignam - Green Fields Of France | Absolute superb version of the the Irish Trad. Song
Christy Dignam & Imelda May - Song For Kathryn
    Aslan - Crazy World
Sinéad R.I.P. Nobody Compared to You
Christy R.I.P. The Voice of an Angel
    .

So glad you mention Ry Cooder, who is not only a guitar master but one of my most beloved musicians -- and a great American musical historian, to boot. I have the soundtrack LP for the great X-rated 1970 acid-trip/gangster film by Donald Cammell and Nicolas Roeg, "Performance," which stars James Fox, Mick Jagger and Anita Pallenberg and features music by Ry, Randy Newman, Jack Nitzsche and Merry Clayton. I don't remember if it ever came out on CD, but I still have all of Ry Cooder's records and most of his soundtracks on vinyl (mostly original pressings) -- except, of course, for the two you cite.
But this brings me to the central irony of Ry Cooder's role in regard to this topic. I have a framed poster for 1979's "Bop Till You Drop" on the wall in my music room, which prominently announces the album as "Rock's First Digital Recording." I bought the 12" record when it came out, then the West German-manufactured WEA "Target CD," and then returned to the record again -- and I must admit it sounds clearer, crisper, and richer on vinyl -- because it was recorded digitally but intended to be listened to on record. (I also have a red vinyl Milt Jackson LP on the "Pablo Today" label, 1981''s "Night Mist," that boasts in big letters on the cover that it was "DIGITAL" -- in lettering about the size of the album's title. Digital recording was touted as a big deal, mostly for symphonic and chamber music LPs, though it didn't help with the surface noises during the quiet parts!)
Remember when we used to wait breathlessly for our favorite LPs to be released on CD (like the Beatles catalog in 1987-88)? There were so many titles my friends and I would pine for: "I wish they'd put that out on CD!" We've come full circle now...

@@mazzysmusic Yes, the American Analog Set are an Austin-based indie rock, lo-fi band I discovered probably around 2005. I really like their music. I have all their albums on CD but just 2 on vinyl. Michael Muller [who knows the band] says there will be a re-release of all their albums in box set next year on the Numero Group label. I can't wait! D

I love Costello but North is too low-key for me. I just bought The Juliet letters reissue on vinyl, though. Great album. Also, his collaboration with Burt Bacharach is really a masterpiece.

I have the opposite problem,sir..I have no turntable anymore so I got rid of all of my vinyl ..just try finding some of that great seventies stuff on compact disc..Photographic Smile. Forget it..Plug me into something by Henry Gross. Impossible. Bill Wyman. Monkey Grip. No way! Most of that great prog stuff is really difficult if it's obscure enough like some bands such as Gryphon or Pfm..

Oh, also, Leonard Cohen Live in Dublin was never released on CD and would make a great box set. And I have a soft spot for Neil Young Red Rocks (Road Rock vol 1) which only got a very limited release. Seems to be a theme emerging with me, it’s the live albums that are scarce on vinyl! Oh hang on, there was a killer Nina Simone outtakes compilation called Tell It Like It Is that only came out on CD, would love that on vinyl. Also disc 2 of the Stones Some Girls deluxe is brilliant and only ever came out on CD. Okay I’ll stop now. Greetings from London.

Good question for Mazz! My thinking on lps is that the difference in costs (especially recently) tween vinyl and cd doesn't justify purchase of the lp. Prime example-for me my purchase of the Beatles box set of mono cds makes hunting for original lps in mono an unnecessary-and far more expensive- task. Another one- Phil Upchurch's killer guitar session "Tell The Truth" is coming out on lp. That is, as a 2-lp set,13 tracks. I bought it on the Evidence label with all the same music in the used cd racks for 6 bucks-ONE disc. The new 2-lp set? $50!😮
      I don't THINK so!

There's a joyous CD boxset from David Sylvian that has been recently released if you did not already know.
I do hope that you give the Shela Chandra LP that I sent you the occasional spin.
Don't miss The Church when they play Seattle! They don't appear to have any plans to play in Brexit stricken GB which is sad.
