thankyou for this video . I think it has cured the problem I was having . I tried everything , changed a bunch of components . The arrow you have drawn ,if you take it and make it face to the right , that pin on R 23 is what I have to resolder .

Take a non conductive device and press against the board and find the short ..then flow the solder around the source ..beat of luck..do about 10 a month like this

This is simple switching circuit short ...the key circuit is shorting to ground ..do to cold solder joint

Winking out like that appears to be low power supply voltage. Need 13.8 volts. Test radio on channel 19, 1000 Hertz test tone input according to the SAMs books.

How did you prob for a short? that worked well to find it. I need to get what every you got to prob for a short. How did you attach the prob where did you get it at?

Looks like he found a cold solder joint. Google it. Resoldered components together.
