Glenn Hughes was the most underrated member of Deep Purple. The man is a gifted bassist, vocalist and still rocking it into his 70's!

Glenn's voice soars while others struggle to recreate what they did in the eighties.
To be honest this is the first new material from him where I think he sounds slightly worn down by age but I think it actually makes the song better with a more laid back approach, until really going off at the end in a cool way. Going back 15-20 years he would overdo it sometimes and would have embellished too much on the verses of a song like this, but this… this here is smooth.
On the Iommi albums he sang on for example he would sound great but then add like a weird inflection on the end of a phrase and make it sound cheesy. I like more restrained Glenn.
I love Glen Hughes the man is ageless.

This guy killed the daisies for me, a cliché 70's vocal delivery that was far from the exciting vocal delivery I had heard for the first time with John Corabi at a concert in my home town while the Daises were supporting Kiss. I know everyone has a different perspective but Jesus, bring back John Corabi!!!

I'm literally mesmerized by the vocal, although the whole song is good. I found out that this guy is the vocal of "What time is love", KLF. He had already a strong impact on me 30+ years ago. 😊
this is great if u never heard it, and better if u know Dio, Deep purple^ whitesnake music..i have seen Dio many times thankfully and love Dougs playing. Glenn Hughes is fantastic .i remember mh brother and me just absolutely cranking Purples made in europe and i loved Glenn back then.you fool no one !

Hay Daisies thanks for the music, thus song sounds so much what I have been going through for the past 7 years suffering from ptsd and OCD which is basicly fear on steroids so I can relate as I get up everyday and face my fears somedays are better than others but I know my light is so much more powerful than my fears it's what keeps my blood pumping so a huge thanks to you all for the song and music

This Hard Rock supergroup seems to be getting better by the day. It was love at first riff for this superbly crafted headbanger. Whereas many of his contemporaries have allowed their voices to go down the pan to a shadow of their former selves, Glenn Hughes sounds better than ever. No stranger to Rock n' Roll excess, it is nothing short of miraculous that he's somehow managed this. It has a simple killer riff that reminded me of Bad Company's FEEL LIKE MAKIN' LOVE, a memorable melody, great singalong chorus/lyrics and of course a fine lead break.
My one criticism is that the production's clarity is not great - all mid-range, but the level and separation are fine, so turn it up and it won't bother you. It's a must-own for Hard Rockers.
My Score: Excellent 5*
It sounds more like the break riff in Humble Pie's The Sad Bag Of Shaky Jake to my ears.
