Personally, I'm always hesitant to say that any cover is "better" than an original, but I read what you wrote and you didn't write that it's better, just that you prefer it. And you know what? I do too. If I had to only hear this version for the rest of my life and never again hear the original, I wouldn't die miserably. LOL! This version is absolutely amazing, for sure!

Okay the truth. I have been involved with music for over 50 years playing and recording. I could not even listen to this cover once . I had to listen to this 50 times and still listening. Amazing vocally and musically. How can not be the most insane guitar solo of thousands.
This IS what being a music fanatic is about. Every chord and structure is absolute brilliance in my world! I’m 53 and have a bunch of young kids working for me and I play this for them and they have to pick up their jaws off the floor… one of my 19 year old employees asked me to send him this video after I played it for him! I am 55 years old. I've been listening to heavy metal since I was 14 years old....iron maiden, black sabbath, raibow....something like this. Only today I discovered this singer Dino. Fantastic! it's nice when we are surprised.
He toured with the Dead Daisies when the guy from deep purple has to take time off for illness. I recorded several videos of them in Portland, I believe the whole Seattle show is here on RUclips. One of the best concerts I have seen.
Portnoy had been my fave Drummer for the past 30years. To see this with Dino just gives me goosebumps. The kid is an absolute Superstar. Cheers to Covid for providing us with such musical matchups.
Just unbelievable! Dino's vocals are out of this world! I'm a bass player and he's no slouch on the bass. Keyboards were on point too. Joel was superb and Mike... Well what can you say other than Mike is as usual incredible. He's my favorite drummer hands down. There was Peart but Mike is just light years past everyone else.

As much as I appreciate his all-world technical skills, his lead reminds me of how great the original lead is. I dig shredding but the phrasing, licks and choices of notes of the new solo put it in the "...meh..." category. Regardless, his tone on rhythm is perfect. I love this cover. (P.S.: ok, I listened to this solo w my eyes closed and unrelating it to the original solo. Yeah, it kills. WTF was I thinking w my original post...)

This fell into my lap on autoplay.. my wife came walking into the room (she is NOT a fan of rock music), watched and asked me, "who the hell is that?" I told her I didn't know but he will be finding his way onto my iPod soon.
That took balls. I always considered "Jane" to be an perfectly executed hard rock song. Mickey Thomas' vocal and those rib-cracking power chords? PERFECT. But this version was great, too! Sounded amazing. Vocals killed. All the power of the original with the expected twists coming from 3 virtuosos. Really enjoyed that!

Dang! I'm of the mindset, that if you do a cover, you have to represent it as close as possible to the original, or take it in a different direction. The original is a total rock anthem. It required no improvement, as it was (and still is) just a fantastic song. The spin that you put on it is off the hook! The musicianship and execution by you guys is simply impeccable. I am awestruck! Bravo!

Portnoy had been my fave Drummer for the past 30years. To see this with Dino just gives me goosebumps. The kid is an absolute Superstar. Cheers to Covid for providing us with such musical matchups.

Just unbelievable! Dino's vocals are out of this world! I'm a bass player and he's no slouch on the bass. Keyboards were on point too. Joel was superb and Mike... Well what can you say other than Mike is as usual incredible. He's my favorite drummer hands down. There was Peart but Mike is just light years past everyone else.

I'm 64 but still have a love of great music. I've met and worked with some amazing talent including Ann and Nancy Wilson just to name two. I'd love to be able to go back to my younger days but I'm stuck being old but my love of music will never die.

As much as I appreciate his all-world technical skills, his lead reminds me of how great the original lead is. I dig shredding but the phrasing, licks and choices of notes of the new solo put it in the "...meh..." category. Regardless, his tone on rhythm is perfect. I love this cover.
(P.S.: ok, I listened to this solo w my eyes closed and unrelating it to the original solo. Yeah, it kills. WTF was I thinking w my original post...)

That took balls. I always considered "Jane" to be an perfectly executed hard rock song. Mickey Thomas' vocal and those rib-cracking power chords? PERFECT. But this version was great, too! Sounded amazing. Vocals killed. All the power of the original with the expected twists coming from 3 virtuosos. Really enjoyed that!

Dang! I'm of the mindset, that if you do a cover, you have to represent it as close as possible to the original, or take it in a different direction. The original is a total rock anthem. It required no improvement, as it was (and still is) just a fantastic song. The spin that you put on it is off the hook! The musicianship and execution by you guys is simply impeccable. I am awestruck! Bravo!
