For the people who have the SAIN 2.2.1, the GUI still has all of the things mentioned its just more condensed. For example the Global Settings is on the Home Page now and still has the same options. All that's changed is the layout and it is minor.

good thing it has individual settings for different bots. Before i had to tweak those by manually editing the server files.
Although it is sad that SAIN makes scavs so quiet. I want them to talk like they always do, but at the same time i also would like more quiet and tactical PMCs. With SAIN it's one or another. But hearing scavs talking is important for immersion - otherwise they don't feel like themselves at all. So i guess i will turn back on all the talking.

Honestly sain, looting bots And questing bots are a must 🙏
I didn't want to use them because tarkov is so fucking poorly optimized and my 5600x bottlenecks my 3080, but after the ai kept getting stuck trying to run through glass windows on the second floor I'm gonna have to take a hit and dl them for my next playthrough lol
@@RancorousSea You shouldnt take THAT big of a hit to performance. you will see some dips when spawns happen but its just that, a dip and then its back up. I finally upgraded to the 7800x3d and Tarkov runs like a dream with 25+ mods
@@RancorousSea I have SAIN, Looting Bots, Questing Bots, Drakia Big brain and Waypoints, 5600 like you and 3060ti, I'm getting stutters with AI too. Trying to fix AI, Glukhar was always spawning in Reserve in the same building, so I tried SWAG+Donuts, but something is def. lowering my FPS. I feel like there's a shit ton of AI spawning and they are not optimized well. Gonna try BSP now instead of SWAG.
Update: BSP instead of SWAG did it. Game is FLAWLESS right now with my friend connected on the server. Smooth as butter. But now I have issues like no rogues in Lighthouse.
I'm generations behind like well behind on hardware, AMD ryzen 1600, and a 1080. I can run spt without issues modded as all hell.
@@RancorousSea I have a 5600x and RX6800 and my SPT runs beautifully. You gotta fuck around with the settings and make sure not too many bots spawn.

Love you're videos, always very informative. I, like many people started playing SPT because of the recent drama and damn I wish I'd done is sooner. Being an anxious little bitch in tarkov, changing the game's bots to match my (sloth like) reaction speed has increased my enjoyment by at least 10x. I can finally play the game instead of hiding in a bush for 20 minutes!

Great video! Do you make any changes to donuts as well? The last thing i feel like I’m missing is a proper tuning for number of bots per map. Sometimes i see next to no one all raid and other times im swarmed by 10 bots at once.

The only changes that I make to Donuts are greatly-reduced spawns and spawn caps.

Yeah I have the same issue. Everything else is setup really to my liking now. I’ve tried to edit the donuts txt config files and lower the total bots and also the spawn distance to me and other bots. But somehow I can’t get it to work properly.

Question... if I modify the settings thru the GUI does this translate to the whole server? Does it have to be the host or is it done in the configuration files somewhere?
Edit: Figured it out, whoever is the one hosting the raid has their bot settings take priority

Is there a way i can make enemy AI use more environmental strategies like flanking or suppressive fire while an enemy AI team mate flanks? My main focus is just being smarter and less with gun accuracy.

can somebody help me? How to decrease spawn of entities in raid, because its too much of them spawning non stop and my pc starts lagging
I think the perfect setup is to have the AI perfectly balanced between being aggressive enough to shoot decently fast at you, but still give them a slight handicap with their aim, scatter and recoil factor adapted so they don't laserbeam headshot you right away or any other part of the body. Among the other tweaks in SAIN.
This necessarily doesn't mean they will always shoot around you/miss. Sometimes they land some really lethal blows - I know for a fact lol. But the landing of shots around you still provides a sense of danger, even when you are not hit. And it gives you a fair chance to react and seek cover or kill the aggressor, before they hit you. If you don't, it is a high risc they will land the next shots on you. Which they have a high chance of doing, depending on if you know where they are or not.
So in conclusion, you are given the chance to take cover or kill your opponent, without being molested to pieces everytime, depending on your own actions in the present situation.
It provides a nice randomness between evading injury and actually getting messed up for real sometimes or killed. Which is the perfect blend imo.
And the perfect balance would be the "default option"?
Did you fine tune anything in particular to achieve that? Or are you saying that SAIN + Donuts by default is the perfect blend for you?

Do you notice a gear difference between difficulties? On standard SPT im getting Scavs and PMC's with BS and M855A1 ammo and was wondering if reducing the difficulty changes what they carry
Not with SAIN, since it only influences bot behavior and not their spawns or equipment.
How are your graphics looking so good? Do you have any mods that change the colors?

Wassup brother got a question for you, its the first time i got to update my SPT. did i have to throw everything to trash (SPT FOLDER)and restart or just the spt 3.7.6 client folder?
Yes, delete everything of the old version and install the most current one, following all the instructions.

Thanks. I was allways afraid to mess with that. I was playing on defualt but it was to easy. When I increase diff they killed me to easy. Now I can set up my own game just the way I like. I have one question tho, does selecting hard PMCs and SCAVs in DONUTS do something then? Which difficulty matters? SAIN or DONUT?
The Donuts difficulty selector is the same as EFT's, like you choose before a raid.
SAIN presets have behaviors for each of the difficulty levels.
You can customize how each preset behaves per level.

Hi there, I have a question. will PMCs with sain have night vision goggles in the night time raids? If not, is there any mod that makes that happen?
I can't remember the specifics on that, I think that Realism Mod also influences the likelihood that bots will have night vision.
It should definitely say something in the mod description for any mod that deals in bot NVGs, though.
11:07 For the dive donut preset, I never see the icon pop up in the bottom right like yours does. Do I need to enable something by chance? When I press f12 I see the DD advance setting there and everything just want to make sure it’s running correctly
There's a setting called "Show Random Scenario Selection" in the middle of the Donuts entry, right below the scenario selection menus.

I’ve been messing with SAIN and SwagxDonuts for a while now and I noticed recently that they both have difficulty controls, does one override the other?
Sain is the controller.
Yes, SAIN takes full control of bot difficulty.
So... How? Do you? Apply one or the other dofficulty to be active? I am wondering... Its unclear.
It's crazy how this all runs on system. I'm not a programmer, but why can this not also work for co op or online play?
Hey bro ! Iam new to SPT, like most people recently i guess :D (Iam never going back, fck Nikita and BSG, iam having a blast with SPT rn) Iam using SAIN, donut, looting/questing bots. I have several questions if u dont mind: 1: The AI seem to hit my stomach ALOT and its quite annoying at the start, is there a way to adjust that ? 2. Can i set the max number of bots somewhere ? I got several raids now where its just a clusterfck with like 20 pmc, a boss, scavs, raiders xD 3. I noticed its not raining at all for me ? Can i fix that somehow ? I really enjoy night raids with rain :C
Hey i can answer these questions for you.
1. You can increase the aiming scatter in SAIN menu (F6) so shots will spread out more.
2. You need to enable bots hard cap in donuts settings from the F12 menu and edit the config file in the donut folder. You will see a section listing all bot caps for each map, just change the number to whatever you like (both scavs and pmc).
3. This is a known bug and will hopefully be fixed soon (if i recall correctly this is actually a vanilla bug from the specific version SPT is currently using)
I had the same problem with amount of ai. There were just too many. I played version before this and never had this many bots, at most i had like 4 or so lets say near lumberjack, now its like a war out there with 12 bots. Some die but another get replaced i was wondering was live always like this ? Or version before didn't spawn so much bots.

Should be a mod called bandits or breaching bandits, let’s you get through any door with weapons with a few presets dictating the weapons/gear you can breach doors with.

Can you adjust the loot pmc carry? I kill them then they are missing like a rig or like a backpack. It’s a little weird
Sounds right to me, Tarkov is chaotic in nature that way, especially when bots move and loot on their own.
It could be your mods, but it could also be circumstances when you find them.

I actually don't use That's Lit at the moment for the sake of performance, but might consider it.
Dude how do you increase your repacking mag speed ive been looking for a setting for so long but I cant find it!
You can use the KMC SVM, Dad Gamer Mode, or even the SPT Realism Mod, I think.
For the latter two, you'll find those settings in their BepInEx entries labeled "Magazine Load Speed" or something.
Just wondering have you ever thought of running the spt server on another pc, I heard its easy to set up and offers performance benefits aswell, but havent tried it for myself.
I don't think I have ever considered that.
If it's possible, how would it improve performance?
@@thestarvox I believe the AI would be handled or at least mostly handled by the PC running server. Which of course reduces the CPU load of the client. Not sure as I haven't tried it, but maybe no more spikes when bots load in?? Worth a shot I might tinker with it this weekend and report back.

Hello PMC Tarkov, how do you manage to make your weapon tilted to the left while still having it on your right arm without shoulder swapping ?
It's an option in the "Realism" mod for SPT. Among other things, the mod gives you several different additional stances for holding your gun.

That selection is overwritten by SAIN.
@@thestarvoxI heard that if you pick as online, it throws random difficulties in. I’ve tried to set all mine to easy baby bots with zero aim but select as online in the pre-raid settings yet I keep running into the odd one that destroys me in one second so it makes me believe the pre-raid “as online” setting is spawning in hard bots. Otherwise it makes no sense. Going to try there pre-raid settings as “easy” to see if I notice a lack of insta death.

Can you explain how Donuts and SAIN work together for Bot difficulty? SAIN has bot difficulty settings in the F6 menu and Donuts has bot difficulty settings as well in the F12 menu. Do they work together or does one overwrite the other?
SAIN is AI behaviour. Swag&Donuts controls spawns and spawning waves.
Completely different roles, can't override with each other.

Base game difficulty is chosen at the start of a raid.
It can also be set in the Donuts menu, that's the difficulty selection.
SAIN adds behavior modifiers to the difficulty level chosen.
The SAIN presets include settings for each level and can be changed individually.

How many Ai's are you using? I'm currently using 'as online', and there are so many scavs it's hard to make any progress
Very few, less than ten for each map cap and then some depending on my needs.
Since the Boss and Rogue spawns tend to be broken, they'll often appear despite my caps.
In the end, I still get lots of activity per wave somehow, especially with the recent SAIN update.

Yeah, you can access the SAIN menu anywhere in the game.

Yeah, the heavy traffic has been causing errors and long load times lately.
I tried installing it five times, always getting the older version, deleted the Sain.dll as required, not getting your gui :(
Its because he is using an older version on here. Make sure your version is 2.2.1 for the most recent update. The GUI will be different as the homepage tab will have General Settings. You should see it as soon as you enable the [Open Editor] option. Not everything is the same location but all the stuff he changes should still be in the General Global Settings on the Home tab.

Server value modifier mod, I forgot what tab it was under but you have to open the exe. For it hopefully that helps that’s the best way I could explain it.

How can you get the best fps while also having a resonable amount of bots?
having strong modern CPU is the only remedy in this case afaik, since your computer controls all the AI in your server. other than that it pretty much comes down to trial and error until you find sweet spot for bot count and performance.
Make sure to limit AI range in questing bots
3.8.0 is great, but damn I'm gonna miss Traveler. And that one's probably not getting updated for the foreseeable future

@@resdyne9590 so if you go to spt\benipx\plugins and navigate to dsizedonuts folder, there are presets in there to change the max bot count for each preset, pmc and scav counts

While i copied everything from here i went with 2 for that value...
The value was reset to 1 when I hit the "reset" button while customizing that preset.
No need to worry, it was intentional.
does anyone else have very bad performance with spt? for some reason i get much lower fps than regular tarkov at the same settings, and whats weird is that my gpu doesn’t boost the way it should, sitting at 2610mhz instead of 3045 as it usually does. im using a 4090 and 7800x3d.
Should be perfectly fine with 7800x3d as it's the best CPU for SPTarkov (fastest cores out of every x3d Ryzens).
And the fps reduction is because your PC now is also the server putting high loads on CPU.
@@rlrihards948 yeah, but that doesn’t explain gpu boost clocks. regular tarkov runs perfectly fine. i could see a 20fps difference to server emulation or ai but this is just weird. is there some catch in installation process or something?

Is there a way to tweak raiders/bosses this way? I have SAIN on default preset but keep getting one-tapped in the head by raiders milliseconds after they come around the corner

Same Problem here. I play with baby bots because i got Bad aiming. Scavs and PMC mostly no Problem... but raiders and roques kill me on sight😅
babybots turns it into tarkovs pve mode.
I wish there was a setting that would change their "awareness". I'll be on woods, see a bot facing away from me about 150 meters and they will whip around instantly and start firing.
Try the „Thats lit“ mod it’s compatible with sain and makes them more player like because they will only see you if they actually have clues. It even makes the clothes you wear matter. I had the same problem like you and now it’s a lot better ❤
