Great video, Max. A few observations from an owner: Door badge: 4 = AWD, X = extended range battery. Power liftgate should fully open from one press of the exterior button. 2021s have kick to open liftgate, but was removed later due to parts shortages. Liftgate will also open from the main screen. Front trunk will also open from the main screen and the exterior number pad. Trunk/frunk release buttons are kind of hidden in the pic of the Mach-E on the drive mode screen. All four windows are auto up/down from the drivers door. Manual high beams are not controlled on the headlight knob, they’re activated by pushing or pulling the turn signal lever. Auto high beams are standard equipment. The shortcuts at the bottom of the screen are arranged in most recently used. You can swipe them down to remove them. BlueCruise doesn’t disengage like Autopilot or FSD Beta that just give up, BC can move between hands-free and hands-on modes, but the vehicle is still assisting the driver. If you’re not on a major highway, you can still use hands-on radar cruise and lane centering. When you map a route in the Ford nav or Apple Maps in CarPlay, the Mach-E will automatically add charging stops to your route if needed. Routing to a charger using the Ford nav will precondition the battery when you’re 20 miles out.
This video is exactly what I was looking for. I now feel well-prepared for my first encounter with a Mach-E tomorrow. Thanks!
A very very useful video. I am just getting my first and new Mustang Mach E this week ... and this is a great intro. After test driving both the Tesla Model Y and the Mustang Mach E I found that the Mustang Mach E is much closer to a "normal" car as I drove for the past many many years ..., making the switch to an EV so easy. The Tesla is super futuristic and cool but the fact that the Mustang nicely combines the old and the new era makes it my choice... Thanks for the great video !
Just over a month ago I drove my 2023 Mustang mach-E home. I received my new insurance premium $250. a month. Very clean record for 60 years.
Thanks so much, Max, for this video. I sent it right away to my friend who just got a Mach E. This is such a great public service to help newcomers to EVs so they can enjoy them as soon as possible. The learning curve can be intimidating but I believe that once you go electric you never go back.
I have to say that you are a master at communicating! Very informative. Probably one of best videos I have watched. Great job
This is the best video I have seen about this car. Hope to rent one soon. I feel like I am an expert now. ;)
Very insight and detailed video. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much for this! I just got mine last week, and this guide is super helpful.
Thanks for this, Max. I'm in the process of trading in my Chevy Bolt EUV for a Mach-E and you have helped immensely in preparing myself for the new car. 👍👍
What year was the bolt and Mach e you looking for
@@TheThongone I ended up buying a 2023 Mach-E, 4wd., extended range. I traded in a loaded 2023 Bolt EUV
Excellent! Good job, no jokes, personal opinions ,right to the point
Max, nice video, I have a question you or someone at Out of Spec maybe can answer.
Today I did a quick experiment on energy usage with our MME GT. We’ve owned our 2023 GT since late October 2023 and now have just over 2900 miles. There is a town that is 39 mile trip for us and it’s 20 miles on an interstate and the rest on 55mph state highway with a few stoplights.
We’ve done this trip enough times to expect 2.5 -2.7 miles/kWh under the following circumstances: cabin heat 68-70F, seat heaters on for about 5 minutes, steering wheel heat on about 10 minutes, HVAC auto and with 1 bar of 3 illuminated, AC off, radio on, cruise control at speed limit +2, lane keeping assist/blue cruise on, and headlights in Auto.
Today we did the trip and I turned the lights to off and the car’s m/kwh computer showed 3.0 miles/kwh.
Temperatures and weather have varied but today was in the mix for a normal trip.
That’s a huge consideration if planning a trip, that’s potentially a 10% range difference!
Just looking for your experiences.
Everyone calls it a MACH-E. MACH-E has achieved recognition in its own right. They can drop the Mustang thing.
So, with that line of thought, I guess that Porsche Taycan can drop the Porsche and just say Taycan?
Max... do you like Polestar Pilot or Blue Cruise better? 2022 Polestar 2 LRDM w/ Pilot + Plus lease... considering Mach E for next car... Stay safe, Tim
Hey Max, is 10% challenge coming for the MME 4X?
Thinking about renting one.
Great video i hopefully get my AWD X Premium this week in Scotland is that the Star white?
Yes, that’s Star White. Congrats on your Mustang!
@@stangmatt66 thank you for all the hard work doing these videos I know they are very time consuming but just to let you know we are very grateful
@@Sank1982oh that’s not me in the videos. I’m just a Mach-E owner since Feb 2021.
Would like to see a better design key, or card key.
1:40 I suspect you can open with sweeping foot under rear bumper also, at least with top specs.
You can in 2021s, but kick to open was later removed due to parts/chip shortages
The Guesso Meter isn’t really any different then any other Ice vehicle. It’s always based on how you drive and it will change during fuel [or charge] consumption.
You use your foot under the rear bumper to open the boot on mine.. I think that’s tech pack though..
Have a 22 Mach e. I like it, but the EA network along the I95 corridor is getting worse.
Be patient the SC adaptor is coming in another year or less you will be doing the Supercharger smile.
How long until the battery needs to be replaced?
Your stopping without brake pedal. If o am behind you. Your brake lights ain't coming on to warn me Your slowing down. That's like making a right turn without a blinker
The brake lights do come on when letting go of the accelerator pedal in 1-pedal mode ruclips.net/video/kW6l0zhSons/видео.html
Otherwise its just like downshifting in an ICE vehicle
We rented a Volvo ESUV last year and I had the same question. I asked the dealer this same question about one pedal operation yesterday and was told it doesn't come on. I'll update him today when I go to pick up my new ME CART1
The Mach E could been more amazing had ford gave it quick charge (0-80%) in 20 minutes
put the key in and turn i have never seen a cAR charger ,, they do not have them where i live ,, the fist sign in my county is no EV chargers here the second sign is cheap Cat deletes $60 hahahahahagaggagaahagagahahagagaga I think the newest car at our dealership is a 2007 ,, My friend had one of those first electric cars from 2007 did 40mph with a bunch of Golf cart batteries in it mm had AC radio everything sticker was still in car $40,000 insanity .. only people you see driving new cars around where i live are the Indians that own the Casino's
Ford has lost its mind! Those „door handles“…? wtf? The display shows door ajar not door open. Who says that? Answer: nobody but Ford. The info screen looks like a glued on iPad not as a designed part of the dashboard 😣
After having this car for six months we love the way the doors open. Cars with traditional door handles look goofy!
