Curry compared to MJ = ridiculous comparison Curry compared to Westbrook, Cp3, lilard, harden = awesome comparisons I'm fine with comparisons, just as long as they're actually comparable. "appreciate greatness" well, that's why we compare.
+SportObsessive Bryant look as this way everybody wearing jordans nobody going stop wearing them for some currys besides last night got crush so whats your point they lose next game i dont see them coming back. but besides that really jordans not my favorite alltime i grew up loving dirk and even Dwayne wade and besides clay thompson more than curry anyway. thompson is one of my all time favorites so dont try say im riding with jordan. i bet you got some jordans on right niw.
+SportObsessive Bryant Q4. Which fan base make it their point to criticize players behavior off the court and attitude of the court but was ok with their favorite player gambling on games, putting his hands on his teammates, and shooting free throws with his eyes closed? Was is A. Jordan fans B. Kobe fans C. Lebron fans D. Magic fans E. Curry fans F. Larry fans
+notedom I've never worn a pair of Jordan's in my life when I was young shoes like Chucks were hot i wore them for a short time than Adidas than Timbs and polos Now I wear active shoes for running like Pumas but if I go out I wear formalwear The hell my grown ass look like wearing or wasting money on Jordan's lmao ahahaha Jordan don't even wear his shoes unless for promoting lmao Only kids and broke young adults wear Jordan's seriously Even celebrates don't even wear Jordan's unless their promoting fashion(which is all the time) But they only wear formalwear or active wear/shoes for casual days Jordan's are suppose to be active wear with great Quality material so they won't get scared or torn fast But guess what?? Broke people decided to make sports sneakers into formalwear (which caused Jordan's to be made cheap with horrible Materials and they would tear fast) all because they can't afford actual dress(designer shoes) shoes like Burberry, Hugo's, Allens, buscemi etc
+SportObsessive Bryant and what does dress shoes gotta do with jordans only time wear dress shoes is when going to church, or interview i do like casual sleepers through. and jordans dont break down unkess you wear them out which i dont so there you go
scabrine is the real goat, and theres no point comparing the white mamba to ANY other nba players because he would single handedly demolish any team including the 90s bulls and warriors by himself
You don't have to make comparisons anymore. Curry jokes in big moments. Wasn't Finals MVP last year and averaged a lame ass 22 in this Finals and couldn't win 1 of 3 game (2 on his home floor).
+Dangerous Thinking you're a dumbass he's saying Steph isn't human cause of his incredible shooting abilities and mike has a video on why Michael Jordan wasn't human
can you do a video about how kevin love was traded right away after drafted by the grizzilies since rudy gay was on that team. They did no want there to be gay love on the court. they were against the gay love connection.
Nah I took it as hate because it was a lot of teams back then that they NEVER swept so u mean to tell me that you think your gonna sweep the Warriors lilt gtfo
Curry is the greatest shooter ever but he's far from the GOAT. Last season he shouldn't have been MVP, and this season his stats compared to DWADE in 09. Wade finished 3rd but Curry was unanimous. Do we hate Curry? No. We do hate the way everything is all about him. People give Klay no credit even though he is JUST AS GOOD as Steph. 37 points in one quarter proved that. People give Draymond no credit when he had 13 TRIPLE DOUBLES this season. People give IGGY no credit when he won NBA FINALS MVP last season. All you hear about is Curry. When Wade, Bron, and Bosh got together, it was the BIG 3. When LeBron, Kyrie, and Love got together it was the Big 3. But, when Curry, Klay, and Draymond are together, it is called Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. NO other player in NBA history has had the amount of Praise that Curry gets. Not MJ, not Kobe, not Shaq. It's become sickening to watch because he essentially can do no wrong in the eyes of his praisers. 2K gave him 99 everything a couple of days after he started a game 0-10 from 3. He's honestly the most overrated player ever, and that's a shame because he ACTUALLY is the best shooter ever. But everything he's done, can be or has been done. People seems to forget that.
no one said he's goat. we just said that if he keeps improving and continuing this level of play for the next few years he will be goat. for crying out loud we dont know if hes reached his prime yet. he keeps improving every season its in the stats
Curry is definitely overhyped tho. people fail to realise someone like LeBron had multiple PERs over 30 in his career, his most prolific in 09. Curry is the greatest shooter ever, but how the media expresses him is just fanatic.
+Peter Hwin Have you not been alive the past two years? In 2015 (off-season), ESPN ranked him as the best PG of ALL TIME. That was after one MVP that he didn't deserve. And once this season began, people started calling him the GOAT. He's the Drake of sports. There are plenty of people just as good, if not BETTER, but he still gets ALL of the praise. And if you doubt that, just look up the meaning of unanimous. I'll give you a hint..it's "held or carried by ALL persons involved".
ehh well I would say the football/soccer community is pretty much the same but on a different scale. But idk which has the worst community there are some stupid people who watch basket ball and soccer. ima say soccer because of the large amount of people who watch it.
+jack morkwood The guy is still developing and getting better, it is clear that in this point in time he isnt better then jordan, he isnt an all around better player then lebron right now, but the guy couldve won the most improved player award this year and was the mvp last year.. tht is scary... and should say something about how good he is. steph right now is the best shooter of all time and all time greats will say the same. if reggie miller is saying youre the best shooter of all time then you can bet your ass you are lol.
+David Baik ok first of learn how to fucking read. second I never once said I was a fan of GS I just respect Curry's game. just because u respect the way someone plays that makes u a bandwagon fan?
So the comment section says Curry is trash because he played bad in the finals? LeBron was bad his first two finals so I guess he's trash. Kobe was trash his first finals, bum player. Wade was trash in the finals, bum player. Shaq had a bad finals, bum player. Bird had a bad finals, trash player. Logic
But people expect a little more from you when you set the best regular season record, you're the first unanimous mvp, and "the best player in the world"...
DrizZles( I agree with your statement but) can be argued that unlike the others (besides 2000 kobe) He was dealing with injuries. At least to a degree he has a cause behind his bad play.
+joe draw I mean you could always say "Injury made him play trash" but that doesn't mean the player can still play fine. Does it suck to play through injury, yeah. But can you just use that as an excuse to why you played terrible? No. Unless your cant play and you're off the court, I really see no excuse to play that bad. I wouldn't blame his injury, I would probably blame it on just him cracking under pressure. People expected him to take his team all the way and he just couldn't deliver. You could say that about the other players too, but Steph was the UNANIMOUS MVP. If you're gonna have everyone y decide to pick you as the MVP then you should really be able to maintain yourself. I'm not saying Steph is a bad player, but I don't think he should be the unanimous mvp.
DrizZles Clearly you've never had a sprained MCL lmao they take 6 weeks to heal and he came back after 2 and they deteriorate fast, he had his elbow injured too (and in G7 vs OKC he reinjured his knee, watch the shot he hit before the buzzer at halftime, he falls down and is holding his knee). He 100% deserved unanimous MVP, led the league in PPG, STL, PER, Win Shares, OWS, WS/48, BPM, OBPM, Value Added (by a huge margin) Estimated Wins Added (by a big margin again, 27 - 2nd was 23) in under 35 minutes per game while winning 73 games and making 400 3's when no one had ever made 300. How is that not deserving lmfao.
+joe draw shit now this boy starting to sound like d rose 😂 but I didn't know what injury but I've been told it's was like a sore or a minor sprain. Although this doesn't change my opinion on the unanimous MVP thing, it only kind of clears up his performance in the finals for me.
+Big Dreams Yeah...bc beating your own 3 point records season after season is overrated. Or getting 73 regular season wins. Or MVP again. Or being most improved player since last season. GTFO here
+Srikanth Boddapati He has Thompson, Green , Iguadala, and many that can spread the floor for him where he finds his spot to shoot an easy jump shot...And this Golden State roster was much more talented than the Bulls 72-win season roster, but the Bulls were on an other level and if you want to compare had a harder time winning 72 games where the game was more physical then...The Warriors only achieved one win more 73--big deal!!
I agree with most of the vid. I don't agree that players shouldn't be compared, because it is extremely fun, and there's just no way around a conversation of comparing an MVP of today to an MVP years ago, although I do agree that it certainly leads to hate and anger. However, I do agree about how almost nobody can appreciate current greatness. I can't put into words how sick I am of hearing about the 90's, or how today's warriors couldn't touch (insert 1900's team here), it's just amazing that nobody can appreciate it what's going on until it's ending. I mean, think about how fortunate we've been, Tim Duncan, Kobe, Lebron, Shaq, Westbrook, KD, Cp3, we've literally experienced at least 4 top 10 players playing at the same time, and maybe even more top 20 players, yet all you hear is how inferior this era is. I get why people hated lebron or Kobe, they were very polarizing players who said or did things in their careers to gain opposition. But curry, the guy has yet to do anything but be historically amazing, doesn't show a bad attitude to the court or make polarizing comments to the media. Yet, still people have found some way to hate the guy, or always bring up his supposedly inferior he is to a 90's player, he is proof that people will never appreciate greatness, and as soon as he's about to retire, that's when everyone will begin reminiscing, and the cycle will start all over again with the next great player.
+Dom2K Have a point and yeah I don't like Curry but I do appreciate he is a great player. Bottom line he is two time MVP and helped his team win 73 games. I respect him even though I don't know yet if he is the best like everybody says right now. Yes he is a good guy but also don't say he is like a perfect dude cause you see him acting cocky like Lebron all the time.
+Dom2K So true, man. It's such a bandwagon idea, where people love to look at the past with rose-coloured glasses. Ten years from now people will be talking about how the era of the 2010s was amazing. It's so ridiculous and such a logical fallacy. None of these guys would have a problem playing in the 90s
I think the reason people (myself included) tend to bring up MJ in any/all nba debates is because he's so greatly missed. There are things he did on the court that haven't been repeated by any other player since. What people (myself included) fail to remember is that there are a few modern day greats who have also done some historic things and hit ridiculous milestones. Unfortunately for nba fans everywhere, I'm pretty sure Jordan has made the most history. At least in terms of somewhat recent memory. Granted stars of today are still building their legacies. Anyway that was just my opinion..
The Warriors would easily get a few games just because Kerr coaches them and was on that Bulls team. He would know the perfect strategies to help the Warriors win, because he was part of the team he has to understand.
+Antoniman 49 No, you have to still consider the state of the league. For instance, the 1972 Miami Dolphins went undefeated and won the Super Bowl. The 2004 New England Patriots are often considered a better team than the aforementioned Miami team, even though they went 14-2. Sorry for making a football example rather than basketball lol
+Shottyboy2 !!! LeBron 6 8 and 260lbs. curry 6 3 and the size of a grain of rice. they play different positions with different skill sets. it's hard to say who the greatest football player ID because there is a greater distinction in positions therefore it's harder to judge objective value. the perception of basketball players is skewed because everyone has the same stat line
Shottyboy2 !!! Cam Newton and Tom Brady are in the same era, so is rg3 and Aaron rodgers. But what's 1 thing they all have in common? They play the same positions. Now what if I went and compared Steven Ridley to Gronkowski. They both score points, but they are different positions. Lebron and Curry? Let's not even talk about achievements.. how long one has been playing.. but the actual players. Curry is a great shooter.. great ball control.. Lebron is a good shooter, great driver, great deffense, great for drawing fouls. See why that's not a smart comparison now?
+Christopher Hatcher curry a good shooter and dribbler, passing ok but if u think curry is a good defender then u must think James harden will win dpoy
You're exaggerating. Steph was an all-star caliber point guard since 2013, and everyone was talking about how great of a 3 point shooter he was, and how he could be the greatest shooter of all time when all is said and done ..
Dregs yea we gonna act like his shoes were not flying off the shelves. Also his Jordan commercials were everywhere, all star starters, 1988 MVP, and multiple late night talk show interviews (back then, if you were on a late night talk show you were A list)
t-mac was correct tho, curry voted unanimously as mvp really does show how watered down the nba is. I'm not denying curry is an amazing player. Best shooter ever? In my opinion, hell no. Best 3pt shooter ever? He may have a claim to that. But there's no denying he's one of, if not the best player in the league right now. But that doesn't justify him getting. Every. Single. Vote. Think about it, at one point in time kobe averaged 35 points, and was undoubtably the best player in the league. But did he win mvp unanimously. NO! In fact steve nash won the award instead. Because the nba was competetive! And everyone recognised that their were other superstars. We need to hop off of steph currys dick yall. Peace.
First of all that was a stupid comment. Lebron should have 4 unanimous mvps for starters. One voter said that he didn't vote for Lebron simply because he liked the other player and voting for Lebron was to monotonous and boring..also I'm not a steph fan but honestly saying he's not the best shooter ever is laughable
+Jay TS what defines deserving a unanimous mvp in your eyes? He was the best player in the league with the best stats who meant the most to his team. He checks every box. Regardless, I don't see being a unanimous selection as saying anything about curry other than that he was the mvp. It isn't anything extra...
I think the reason we can't compare Steph and MJ is MJ did everything. Every time I bring this up Curry fans get mad, but he is a superstar because of the 3 point line. Curry's turned himself into a player who can do other things on the court as well but opposing teams aren't shaking in fear because of his floater game or his fancy passes or his defensive ability. When Curry is on the floor he's there to shoot 3s, and that's primarily what he does. MJ was everywhere and did everything on the court.
+Harry Garris I think where Curry might end up having the most impact is on the FUTURE of basketball. I don't follow this too closely, but I did notice, Curry's got ALL the GSWs shooting threes, and it's easy to see why - all he and his coach have to say is, "What do you MEAN it's a low-percentage shot?" He's not like supernatural, or know any secret tricks - I mean what CAN anybody say except "I guess I better practice more." And as far as changing the game, first people got to realize, if you're gonna defend against him, you got to start right at the half-court line! Time and again you see his coverage guys start to move in, then they back up again to inside the three point line. And he just looks at them like "well YOU'RE stupid" and hits it from 35 feet out, totally UN-defended. Soon enough - they HAVE to stop backing up. And somewhere in the world right now, there's a kid who's gonna grow up to the size of Shaquille O'Neal but he's gonna WORK UP to shooting like Curry. Then what do you do....
Let's talk about how Larry Bird, in contrast to a lot of insecure past greats, recently saying that this era of the NBA could be the greatest ever - and this coming from a very competitive player who trash talked everyone in his time.
Larry Bird has major stock in the CURRENT NBA. He would be a fool to say the guys of yesteryear are or were better than the guys that get him paid and vise versa
Thank God someone had to say it I'm sick of people always putting down Steph's accomplishments. He's a player that our kids and future generations will wish they were able to see. I'm a Wizards fan and I can acknowledge the fact Stephen Curry is an incredible player. I just wish haters would see it too
Nobody will ever be good as Michael Jordan. Period, the media makes the players today so overhyped. You can't compare a hall of famer to a player now cuz there is different rules and the game has changed. I play HS ball and no body so its bs.
+King Griff I'm a michael jordan fan, i have many of his games on dvd, he was amazing but i will say that he is over hyped. he was great, but stating he was the greatest is bs.. i honestly think 2008 kobe would contest him very well. i think lebron, durant, westbrook, Iverson, 2003 mcgrady would all make michael look a lot different than when he played starks, leonard, russell, miller, houston, price etc.. i think kobe would crap on michaels competition too..
Jeff Van Gundy's question doesn't fit the subject of your video. Dame is a current NBA player and the question was indeed a legitimate one, because Dame plays a very similar game to Steph but isn't surrounded by nearly the same talent.
+Dymez I think it fits. Even though the video for the most part claims the comparison between different eras is not legitimate, the main point is that we don't enjoy greatness. If Gundy's question is not an illegitimate example, neither is Isiah's diss on Bird, but they prove the main point. It is like waiting for Lillard to shoot three consecutive deep threes so that you can diss a guy who consistently nailed about 5 three-pointers on average per game throughout the entire season with over 45%, something unseen before (even if it is not actually a diss or denigration, it is a salty simplification that cheap journalism often falls into). Lillard is a great player, but facts are facts. What Gundy hypothesized does not even give Lillard his due, because it is a pretty extendible question. It implies that if you could swap Curry with any player who can move the ball and consistently shoot, then he can do the same thing, which in turn implies what Curry has been doing is not that much of a deal. Such vision extends to other great players of past eras too. Nash comes to mind, or Kerr himself, or even a young Ray Allen who could move the ball. The point is not even how similar styles two players have or whether they are of the same era. The point is to bring up hypothetical comparisons for any reason beyond the pleasure of it. We just need to accept things as they are.
+urmenior I think you're taking it wrong. The Isiah Thomas (really Dennis Rodman) diss on Larry Bird can and does somewhat fit the subject in terms of degrading a player -- specifically a great player's excellence. But with what Jeff Van Gundy was saying, he was making a comparison. Dame Lillard is an outstanding player, and he carried a team that was projected to be in the lottery to the 5th seed in the West. And he doesn't have the luxury of playing with teammates that can space the floor for him to operate the way a Steph Curry does, yet his game is similar to Steph Curry's (with more athleticism). You're supposed to be compared to your peers, that's how you determine who the greats are. So, it was well within reason for Van Gundy to beg the question, (I'm paraphrasing) "What if Lillard played on a team that's stocked with 9 players who shoot a very good to excellent 3 point percentage, from positions 1-5. And was backed up by a PG who's starter worthy, saving his legs?"
+urmenior It's not a diss to anyone, nor is it a generalized question. It's meant to say, "what Lillard is doing, sans the help in comparison to the team he's facing, is outstanding." And if you watched that game live, you heard Van Gundy and Mark Jackson both continued to praise the quality of play from Lillard the entire game.
Dymez I watched the game live but on a local channel since I don't live in the States, that's why I was cautious to say that it was a simplification if not a diss. I was especially disappointed because Jeff does not usually diss anyone, but you hear all types of crap on ESPN and TNT. I see your point, maybe I would agree if I heard all the statements on Lillard & Curry surrounding the question throughout the game. It is also true most of us were reminded of Curry by Lillard's performance during the series. I acknowledge Lillard's accomplishment, but as I said, all these questions extend into anonymity, like your reformulation that puts Klay into a nice-shooting guard X, Green into nice-shooting forward Y, etc. How would Lillard do alongside actual Klay and Green? We simply don't know. There are so many players who elevate their untalented team to a couple rounds in the playoffs but get stuck on a championship-caliber team as a leader, then there are others who seem like ball-hogs that push their already-average team to a lower level but once they are accompanied with a few talented teammates they prove that they have lived for that significant moment. Then we have the chemistry to consider. In my opinion, Curry still has a few years to prove consistent before we consider him a legend, even though he's already had a legendary year and to me has proven to be mentally stronger than most superstars in the league at the moment. But that hypothetical team is exactly what Lillard needs to prove himself on par with Curry. We need to see him play as well as he has thus far been playing when expectations are higher. That's all I'm saying.
Friends: What is your favorite basketball player? Me: LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kobe, MJ, Klay Thomp- Friends: Your such a bandwagon! Me: I didn't know that liking players that made basketball great made me a bandwagon.
I dont hate steph curry. I have nothing to hate about him. I hate the fact that, espn overate him and use michael's name to get people to read/get views. All of this comparing the nba does today is for attention and money
+Dav Clutch That's cause the Warriors were far from dominant, basically enjoying greatness is being a bandwagon so why do you have such a problem with curry fans honestly if you see a comment that says he's the best your probably the type of person to comment "L" thinking your the shit like "oh I fucking told that kid Lol" but it's just so immature and got old so long ago
+DomzMC The refs take the blame for not calling them. I get what you're saying. But it's also the warriors fault for setting them. I mean the refs aren't setting those picks
But... You compared Wilt's 50.4 ppg season to current players... You didn't put down Wilt, sure, but you still made comparisons. I love your vids bro, but it's a bit hypocritical.
+Johan Lindfelt comparing statistics is 100% legit. comparing players and saying one isnt better than the other based off of irrational opinions is not. thats the point here
Mike, if everyone sincerely has your mentality of appreciating greatness and enjoy the these once-in-a-lifetime generational players, there would not be so many trolls and haters on the internet. Unfortunately, it's never gonna happen, because people are salty and jealous of athlete's greatness and will always try to find reasons to bash them no matter what. It's just how the way it is. We just have to accept and and move on.
I don't think comparing 90's players with today's stars makes sense because players play the way the league is designed during their time. Players like Curry, Westbrook and LeBron play the way you need to play to succeed today: fast paced, athletic players who can score at will. The 90's were more slow paced, hard nosed defensive teams. Obviously there are players back then who could play now and vice versa, but i just think that the comparison is stupid because the players didn't practice to play in a different time.
+phil6057 The NBA DID have high-pace, high scoring teams in the 90's!!! The Western Conference and especially the Pacific Division always played fast paced ball. A lot of the teams infused from the ABA(Where the 3 came from) did. I get tired of hearing that the 80s & 90s were all mud wrestling matches!! Even in the 80s Paul Westhead "The Guru of GO" employed a high uptempo style with Magic as a rookie, Norm Nixon & a still spry Kareem.. The Showtime Lakers of the 80s ran & shot 3s (Michael Cooper/Byron Scott). The "Run TMC" Golden St. Warriors(Mitch Richmond, Chris Mullin, Tim Hardaway). The Fat Lever/Alex English Denver Nuggets teams. Outside of the Lakers most teams couldn't win championships with that style because the era of Big Men thwarted it, the rules were not geared toward it, and the 3 pointer was still viewed as a novelty. That's why former small ball revolutionary Mike D'Antoni was finally ran out of the league. The style became maligned until Mark Jackson saw what he had in Steph & Klay and declared them the "Best shooters of all-time" so soon...the 3 didn't even get incorporated into the NCAA until like 1984/85 I think? Here in Chicago the 3 didn't become official in high school bball until 1988. The masses were mesmerized by DUNKING....So Curry is a product of the evolution of the game. The 3 was like a gimmick shot or a shot for a 1 dimensional guard like say Steve Kerr, Dan Marljie or Tim Legler. The Korver types. Curry pulls from anywhere off the dribble like say Pete Maravich or Gilbert Arenas. Yeah 4got about the Hibachi, didn't yall? Most ppl 30 something & younger don't even know WTH Arenas is. Much less watched any footage of Pistol Pete or Chris Jackson (who Phil Jackson brought up in comparison to Curry). Which goes to show how under-informed, and the lack of research done by MOST PPL to even have this conversation... RESPECK (lol) history while you heap premature greatness on current stars, is all the Old Heads are saying. It works both ways...
I wanted the warriors to get 73 and wanted steph to get a unanimous mvp even though I'm a Cavs fan. (btw I live in ohio I've been a cavs fan since I was verry little.) I love that steph is humble, he shouldn't be hated his greatness should be enjoyed.
I think the reason why I personally dislike players like LeBron and Steph Curry is because it gets jammed down my throat that they are great. I'd rather have my personal team which is the Celtics go up against these greats and I'd rather have them win. I'm always up for competitiveness , but the fans of the Great people always jam it down my throat. making it impossible for me to see them in a positive light while they still play.
+Rasheed Bland not impossible. when a person says Michael is the greatest of all time they mean amongst every player not just 2 guards. one can say that James Harden is better than Dwight Howard. play styles don't really dictate rather or not you can say a player is better than the other.
+Rasheed Bland so Michael is not the greatest player ever just the greatest two guard?? that's absurd. the player that is the most ungaurdable and above being just competent on defense is the best player period. not to mention their overall feel for the game and the tendency to make the players around them want to play
Old players are in TV shows selling Myths about their era.Cos forst ,they still want to be in spootlight, second, owners of TV shows, radio, even NBA teams still are fans of Jordan or Magic. I was a fan of Magic and Jordan but i remember what media and NBA done to improve hype.Jordan was first player who jump so high ,had amazing fadeaway jumper and predator instict .But why Kobe isnt better than him? They said cos of number of championship and maybe defense.Thats how they will always win,cos they selling this through number of old journalist and pld players or even friends of Jordan or Magic to Myth. 1. Who was defender of Jordan in Utah finals most of time and in crucial time? Bryan Russel . U know this guy? Media dont speak about his defensive skiolls? Why? Cos the best thing to make NBA bussiness is speak of Jordan clutch shot, not about defensive on him at that time. Imagine Kawshi Leonard cover Jordan in those moments .Dont tell me,its obvious. 2. Kobe's lakers won with Phil jakcson 5 times with TRIANGLE OFFENCE .But wait....Did not Jackson and same coaching stuff work with Bulls? Isnt that proof that system they invented help more than is cover in media? Did U ever saw somone spoke about that ? 3. Jordan have 6 championship. Does championships arent for teams? Ofc they are! Dont let anybody sell U a Myth that one player is soo good to win by himself.Jordan had best defensors at time with him- Pippen and Rodman.Without them he never would do what for example Lebron did in last playoffs carryin Cavs to Finals by himself! That was most underrated performace I ever saw. In these time of NBA beeing fast and furious, athletic to degree carry whole team to Finals? But U will just heard about his tweets or attitude like they should intrest U more than his game. 4. Does we need to debate who is greatest shooter in history? really? But these old hipocrits doin all the time! Curry is best shooter ever, dont let anybody selling U a myths . 5. Andf They sell another big Myth- hand Check rule. Watch Jordan games in 80;s! He was barely touch hard when he drive! He had Oakley with him ,nobody fucked with Oakley and even when he was sometimes fouled so what?????Are U blind? Today James drive all time to basket and referees dont even see fouls! Becouse they know Lebron is too strong and at same time fast to unbalance the whole game Dont believe in Myths ,they want U too.Cos its good for their bussiness
Yeah because he's beating everyone like Jordan did. How can you like him when he's killing your team. My dad was a knicks fan in the 90s he hated jordan. But of course he appreciates him now
+AlphaLineGaming maybe, but i don't know.. i know that 2k games aren't perfect but they give a pretty good idea of players and teams, when you play with the 96/97 bulls, there are many thing you need to deal with, first, not that many good ball handlers, longley is actually shit, rodman is ok, but not a scoring threat. kukoc isn't that great a 3pt shooter, and he was a bit slow and sluggish on the ball, pippen isn't that great one on one offensively, kerr doesn't shoot off the dribble that well.. then theres jordan who's awesome, can do it all, but still insonsistent from outside. think maybe the bulls are, dare i say it, a bit over hyped!
Look i grew up watching MJ from when he started right through his championship years then to the very end and i understand people who will say Curry is heading to the greatest but those of us who grew up watching MJ. Will tell you that MJ just had the little thing more when he played everything vs him was in slow motion he was total control
stop comparing him to mj first thing is if you compare mj to anyone it should be lebron not necessary the rings but his game and this still lebron town
+notedom I seen that he is good in the game and really good in real life and I assure you he's gonna be in the HOF but basketball is Jordans game he mastered everything in ball
+notedom Not even close...Lebron is 6'8 250 and just a runaway train on the court...Michael had everything...Smarts, grace, athleticism and a killer instinct, meaning he was unbelievable when it came time to close out a game....Lebron is big and athletic but that's where it ends...and if Lebron didn't have Wade in Miami he would still be looking for a championship ring, which he will never win with Cleveland!
What you guys don't understand, is that LeBron James is the Greatest of All Time. The only reason Michael Jordan was so dominant was because he was way more athletic than everyone else at that time. In fact, the players that were at Jordan's athleticism were the same players he struggled against. Players today are much more athletic by a landslide. And When you consider how LeBron is able to dominate in an era where players are much more athletic than the 80s and 90s. And then there's LeBron's passing ability. LeBron is able to pass the ball in a way that is reminiscent of Magic Johnson and score as willingly as Jordan did. Curry can dominate a game with his scoring, But LeBron can do it with his passing, rebounding, and scoring and no other player can single handedly dominate a game the way LeBron James can.
I get so annoyed when im called a "bandwagon" just because I support good players.. Am i supposed to cheer for a bad player or what? I dont honestly get it. smh
+Nick M i get your point but tech you don't have to live in the city to where you instantly have to love the team cuz i live in Oregon and i like golden state and i don't like Portland and Portland is in Oregon
iTz_HyDrO I never said that, but usually people cheer for their home team. Key word usually. They don't have to be winning for you to be a fan of them.
Exactly. When I saw people hating on Kobe when he scored 60 in his last game, unable to appreciate a great moment, I knew that they'd never achieve greatness themselves. You have to recognize it when you see it.
+Mike Korzemba Yea man I liked the video but i think the push back against steph is that the media is pushing the agenda of his greatness way to hard. For example they have a tab(link) on ESPN called "Nothing but Steph", but regardless it's to the point where he got a unanimous vote for MVP this yr (which he does deserve) but in the context of history he shouldn't have won it because MJ, Shaq, & Lebron never won in their historic seasons so if they couldn't win why should he? baseball media has the same philosophy which why Jeter never got his unanimous vote to the Baseball HOF. Im not a curry hater Im just offering my opinion on why there some push back w/ fans and older players
+jzon3251 so you're telling me that if curry were to break his legs and never play basketball again that you would think he would be remembered as the greatest player ever? If so you got a lot of problems man.
+Bob Vanilla ce keyword PERSONALLY and my only problem is that nobody can accept the fact that Curry is breaking records and winning games like he did last year which he was commended for. I understand there are idiots that hate on him for the fact that they can't do anything else better with their life and probably make their moms cry while saying fuck Curry... it's a fact
I think Scottie Pippin woulda beat Mike 1-2 outta 5. Clyde Drexler woulda had a chance on a good day. Kobe is the obvious biggest comp. Mike woulda ate Lebron lunch. I think it woulda took Lebron closer to 6-7 games to win 1
These videos are amazing you're one of the best content creators on RUclips wish you uploaded more but I know these videos take time but keep up the great work
+Ayden LaPalme Thanks! Im trying hard to get my upload schedule to exactly one video every three days, thats about as fast as I can go with still doing the research and everything I do.
I have never heard a basketball fan have such a similar mind to me. I am subbing simply because of this video, because you said everything I have ever tried to say to people calling me a "bandwagon fan" of Steph. He is GREAT! He is doing things we have never seen a player do before, and those people that are hating on him now will regret that they didn't just sit back and watch greatness when he was in his prime. They will wonder what they were doing with their life, hating on a superstar in the best sport on earth.
+Condom Maniac When Bogut does it he does a moon walk into the opposing player, its actually pretty funny , sucks for the game but that man has the moves lol
Curry is probably the most overhyped player In the last decade. Since when is a deadeye shooter with limitless range and weak defense the goat let alone the best player?
+Nathaniel Galicia Not really. Individual numbers is not everything when you evaluate a player's defense. You can have 0 steals and 0 blocks and still be an A class defender. For example, a player almost never gets a steal or a block, but he pressures opponents so that they can't make key passes or good looks at the basket. Even though that player doesn't have concrete numbers, he is still a good defender. Honesly, Steph Curry's defense is a B class defense. I only gave him a "B" just because he has a good number of steals. To make it easy to compare watch how Klay Thompson defend and Curry defend. Curry is garbage compared to Klay.
+Real As It Gets Im pretty sure the MVP has to do with offense more than defense, a lot of players would have never gotten the MVP if it was defense based. They do give out a Defensive Player of the Year award though, now if a player got both the MVP and the DPotY, that would be insane.
Stephs issue is he is not a true point guard. There were times this past season where he should have been looking to pass instead of shoot. Especially during these last playoffs. His shot was off during the playoffs as a whole but he kept shooting. He should have been looking to set up other players.
Also no one hates on Steph for using screens and picks to score. I've never heard any one say that. People hate that they use ILLEGAL screens. And they do. There is several videos of Draymond and Bogut just throwing dudes out of the way not even getting set. That is like saying Lebron haters hate on Lebron for using hop steps. No, they hate on him for traveling and the travels not being called. BIG DIFFERENCE. No hate but just pointing out the truth. And if someone does hate on Steph for using picks and screens, they never watched basketball and got to hate Reggie Miller.
As a cavs fan, I noticed a lot of call that went our way, but it happens to the best superstar on the most marketable team. Shaq got away with stuff, MJ got away with stuff, Magic, Bird, the list goes on.
I hear what you are trying to say about different generations and I am not hating on the warriors because I do love watching them play but your point on man on man defence is a little incorrect. For a start nobody was leaving Michael Jordan open. He was often double or triple teamed. In the 80's Michael ball hogged but in the 90's he learned to involve is teammates and that is when his success came. I have often watched games today and wondered where the interior defence has gone. So many times I have seen the lane free of bodies to allow an easy drive and yet players continue to try and shoot the 3. Michael averaging 50 in today's game would be extremely plausible. He is the goat and as good as Steph and Lebron are in todays game. They will never be as good as the goat or the playing talent from the 80's.
+Craig Simpson you are an idiot he wasnt saying MJ was being left open he was simply saying that there are different rules in both eras also he wasnt saying he was a ballhog he was showing an example of how the best player in the nba is always hated on during their career, Curry is now, Jordan was then (coming form somebody who thinks Jordan > Curry)
Doesn't matter about different rules when it comes to Michael. He would in fact be more suited to todays rules then he was to the rules in the 80's and 90's. With the rules today, there would be no one able to stop him. No hand checking and no one able to try and decapitate him like certain Detroit players. Regardless of the fact that he isn't as good a 3 point shooter as Steph. Who is going to stop Michael in todays game from getting to the rim and scoring 50 points every night. With the defences spread in todays game. Michael would be having a field day in the lane.
Sniperflashgaming Curry is known for offensive consistency. He has no defense. So what if curry is a good shooter. Stephen basically has no fundamentals of just pulling up literally 23-50 feet away from deep. Back then, curry wouldn't do this, he's never going to catch up to Kobe, Bron, MJ, Larry bird, Shaq, etc. Now think about it. If you think About kawaii Lenard, I honestly think that he would handle the pressure in the last generation. Shooting threes are for pussies. This generation is full of shit. Yall sitting here saying that Brian Scalabrine is better than past legends. I know that it might be a joke, but old school basketball fans would take it seriously. For the record Stephen Curry would never changed the rules. First of all, flight was reacting to a 'Stephen Curry Funny Moments' video, and claimed that Stephen Curry is the greatest dunker for do a side (weak) windmill. He even claimed that Stephen curry is top three of all time. Oh, and he thinks that (in this one clip), that Stephen curry is the greatest ball handler over Allen Iverson over the fact that he dribbles the ball with a tennis ball. That's nothing, people can do that. It will require a lot of work, but it'll be worth it. My point has been proven.
My issue isn't with Curry it's with a sport that is so watered down with prissy contact fouls and players flopping like a bad pro wrestlers that It made what was my number one sport growing up a completely unwatchable heap of garbage compared to the 80's-90's.
+valdog1 Thats okay my man, you don't have to agree with everything I say. Thanks for being civil about it tho and not posting a generic youtube hate comment. I hope you enjoy my future videos!
I'll cheer for a certain greatness but when you are a super team, arrogant, entitled, and have bandwagon fans, and forwards who kick people in the nuts and take shots at Lebron (a veteran and a champion) and call him a baby when Draymond hit him in the nuts I probably won't enjoy them.
Actually, you are making these arguments sound one-sided. There are many who're quick to dismiss the greatness of past players whenever a current player does something great. In defending Curry, the points you just made become fuel for Jordan-haters. Make no mistake about it, claims that Jordan would just be an average player today while Curry would dominate in the 80s/90s are prevalent. No different than the comparisons to Kobe and LeBron. Such is the way of the internet.
Isn't it weird people only compare players in different eras, and have the argument over the greatest player in basketball? This doesn't happen in the MLB or NFL
actually its not the accolades but the thing he does on the court is abysmal. the last time people saw this type of dominance was when mike was killing his opponents. thats what where the comparisons is.
Great video. My favorite is the "bandwagon" thing. The way I follow Steph is damned near the epitome of someone who jumped on the bandwagon but you know what? I don't have a problem with that because frankly, he's why I'm watching basketball at all. I stopped seriously following the sport like 7 years ago. The few guys I liked I kept track of but I didn't bother to watch the games. Along came Steph's popularity and I just had to see what all the fuss was about and honestly, I enjoy watching the dude play. I enjoy watching the team play. They are very good. That curiosity got me watching more games and enjoying more teams and it started with a single player who is pretty damned good and very passionate about the game. That was my favorite thing about Jordan, Kobe, Kidd, Nash, and now Curry. They are passionate about the game and good at it.
+Bob Vanilla ce It's too early to be talking like that. Don't get me wrong, I think he's good. Really, really good but I won't say that because I don't think there's a GOAT. I just say that Player X is AMONG the Greatest of All Time and that includes Jordan.
Masterfully left out Lebron like he's s scrub right? Your 7 years not watching NBA coincide with Lebron dominance and yet you don't have a dog in this fight right? Please stop
jordanq02 I don't like LeBron. I'll never say he isn't a great player but I have no respect for the guy. Don't care to explain my reasons. Suffice to say I don't like watching him play so he doesn't make that list for me.
+Chris B. (AGx) my point exactly...so don't come here and act like you're not bias here and act like wave of curry got you here. You were waiting for someone other than Lebron right?? That just makes you a Lebron hater sir.
+Brenden Yates He didn't lie, but his point isn't as valid because a lot of those greats were big men, who wouldn't dare guard Curry. Also, his point is proven by the Veto of Chris Paul being traded to the Lakers. Stern did it so that he could avoid another "Big 3" and could have more teams with superstars.
+Jay Onez LMAOOO name the TOP superstars Tracy played against in his prime.. PLEASE. Curry is playing against LeBron, Melo, Dwayne Wade, Anthony Davis, KD, RW, John Wall, Chris Paul, Damian Lillard, KL, come on now! Steph is playing against SUPERSTARS. So yes, he is lying.
+FOREAL Kobe. Shaq. DWADE. LEBRON. VINCE. AI. YAO. MARBURY. and so on. The players are just as good then and now. The difference is that there are more superstars on bad teams. Kobe has been on a sucky team for 4 straight seasons. Anthony Davis is stuck. John Wall is stuck. Melo is stuck. Kyrie WAS stuck. Kevin Love WAS stuck. Back then, the superstars had teams built around them and could compete. Now it's like all the stars have to team up in order to get a push.
I know what you're saying and you present good arguments, but the fact of the matter is that the competition isn't as good as what Jordan went up against. Curry is a great player, top 5 in my book. I just don't believe he is better than Jordan, and the comparison is fair. If you want to get over hyped about Curry, fine, but don't get anal when we say Jordan was better. On another note, I think it was shameful that LeBron didn't even get 1 vote for MVP. You put LeBron in any team, and that team becomes a serious championship contending team. Put LeBron in the Timebervoles for example, and that franchise is in the playoffs, no doubt in my mind. Put Curry in the Timberwolves... I don't think it makes them THAT much better; I, personally, still think the Timberwolves don't make the playoffs with Curry in there, plus their current roster. Curry is a good jump shooter, and I enjoy watching him, I really do, but get real: he's no Jordan, and I even contending LeBron is better. Finally, no one seems to consider that LeBron, in last years finals, was without Love and Irving. Nobody cares that, so far, him and his Cavs have swept two series, albeit, against lackluster teams, but it's still the playoffs.
Cavs are winning this year. You bring up some great points. The Warriors were built as a team. All Curry, Ezeli, Barnes, Green, and Thompson were drafted within 3 a year span. The whole point was to rebuild that team from top to bottom, along with new faces as coach and GM. It was a 6 year process. The Warriors have had an increasingly better season each year since 2010 I believe, but slowly, whereas the same year LeBron got traded back to the Cavs, they went from bottom of the pits to Eastern Champions. Curry has put up mind boggling numbers, but mainly focusing on specific elements, (more or less the flashy ones), which is what is getting him his attention. Tony Allen's defense is impeccable, but where is his recognition? He's not even considered a starter in most people's eyes.
curry is top 400 in my book u know how many great players there were in NBA history people don't even have mj in top 10 lol its a lot check out Pete meravich higjlights NBA rules let's curry look better or derrick rose highlights vs wade and lebron in playoffs to name a few
+Juan Veliz If the MVP award actually went to the most valuable player than lebron would win every year lol They should change the name of the award because from this season steph was obviously the best
+Mike Korzemba I understand what you are trying to say but I live in California and EVERYONE loves the warriors. It is annoying because 3 years ago they liked the heat then the Lakers and there parents probably liked the bulls. I wish we could go back to 2012 and there would be little warriors fans. I know they enjoy what Steph is doing but they know nothing about basketball. All you have to do is ask, who is Jason Richardson who is baron Davis even who is Monta Ellis! That is why 75% of warriors fans today are bandwagon little kids who know NOTHING about basketball.
Honestly. I live in LA, and I've always been a Laker fan. I've had a lot of family from up north in the bay, and they of coarse liked the Warriors. They weren't die hard Warrior fans, they didn't know the 2010 Warriors squad, and they were like the age of 60+ and had children who are my uncles and aunts who have children now. This was the time of the Lakers 2-peat championships, but we didn't brag into their faces. Now, it's all about the Warriors, and all they do, including their grandsons and granddaughters who are only 8 years old try to dickride on the Warriors.
Those questions on who monta Ellis and Jason Richardson are for those who been liking the warriors since their championship run I started like the warriors in the 2010-2011 season because curry was dominant at Davidson (also because I started playing basketball and developing my love for it) but in LA it is true I go to clipper and laker games that the warriors don't even play in and their are kids and 11-13 year olds wearing curry jerseys .
Curry compared to MJ = ridiculous comparison
Curry compared to Westbrook, Cp3, lilard, harden = awesome comparisons
I'm fine with comparisons, just as long as they're actually comparable.
+SportObsessive Bryant
Q4. Which fan base make it their point to criticize players behavior off the court and attitude of the court but was ok with their favorite player gambling on games, putting his hands on his teammates, and shooting free throws with his eyes closed?
Was is
A. Jordan fans
B. Kobe fans
C. Lebron fans
D. Magic fans
E. Curry fans
F. Larry fans
+notedom I've never worn a pair of Jordan's in my life when I was young shoes like Chucks were hot i wore them for a short time than Adidas than Timbs and polos Now I wear active shoes for running like Pumas but if I go out I wear formalwear
The hell my grown ass look like wearing or wasting money on Jordan's lmao ahahaha
Jordan don't even wear his shoes unless for promoting lmao
Only kids and broke young adults wear Jordan's seriously
Even celebrates don't even wear Jordan's unless their promoting fashion(which is all the time)
But they only wear formalwear or active wear/shoes for casual days
Jordan's are suppose to be active wear with great Quality material so they won't get scared or torn fast
But guess what?? Broke people decided to make sports sneakers into formalwear (which caused Jordan's to be made cheap with horrible Materials and they would tear fast) all because they can't afford actual dress(designer shoes) shoes like Burberry, Hugo's, Allens, buscemi etc
+SportObsessive Bryant really? everybody wears jordsns even players in the nba, celebrities so your dam wrong about that
+SportObsessive Bryant and what does dress shoes gotta do with jordans only time wear dress shoes is when going to church, or interview i do like casual sleepers through. and jordans dont break down unkess you wear them out which i dont so there you go
There should be no comparison for one sole reason: Jordan is a way better overall basketball player and athlete...
Did you pause the video to write this that comment?
Prince Whatley No I wrote it after watching all points that had to be made. Did you?
stop sucking on mj dude how old are u? did u even watch mj play if not then just stfu

Notice how he didn't mention Brian Scalabrine once? Cause he would've made Curry and MJ look like peasants and killed his point.
scabrine is the real goat, and theres no point comparing the white mamba to ANY other nba players because he would single handedly demolish any team including the 90s bulls and warriors by himself
Josh M boy mj is the best basketball player ever
how about Maple Jordan ?
right?
He would've murdered both i agree.
We can all agree Kwame brown would average 50 and 30 In any era
lol
Yup

Sun Yue 350 and 250
+Just another edgy Vaping atheist brony Yi Jianlian 500 and 1000

Steph curry is trash Lebron is better
+Carter Thornton leeebron who the hell named him leeebron
Right twix is so much better than Left twix
You don't have to make comparisons anymore. Curry jokes in big moments. Wasn't Finals MVP last year and averaged a lame ass 22 in this Finals and couldn't win 1 of 3 game (2 on his home floor).
I still don't get why the Seahawks didn't run the ball -_-😭😭😭
+Robbie Hicks so I could be happy
+PatsNation 😡😡😡😬WE GOTTA PATRIOT lol but tbh we would have won if we had ran you can't even lie

Boss Kid 9021 yeah bro but it still bothers me lol
They are two COMPLETELY different players with COMPLETELY different play styles
Nicholas West agree
same as LeBron and Curry just can't compare a pg and a sf
Nicholas West if you're not at least 30 to 35 years old I just think y'all need to hush
L
But
Jordan is just too good to compare to curry
They only have one thing in common...
They aren't human
Yup
Facts
Steph Curry isn't human video INCOMING!
+Dangerous Thinking you're a dumbass he's saying Steph isn't human cause of his incredible shooting abilities and mike has a video on why Michael Jordan wasn't human
+Jack Nash yes he is
can you do a video about how kevin love was traded right away after drafted by the grizzilies since rudy gay was on that team. They did no want there to be gay love on the court. they were against the gay love connection.
Lol
Lmao
Bruh I'm schleep😭
+SAVAGE FIGHTS ikr I agree
+GomChingu lol deep
I don't find Pippen saying Bulls in 4 is hate, more confident in his team and himself
Yea
Nah I took it as hate because it was a lot of teams back then that they NEVER swept so u mean to tell me that you think your gonna sweep the Warriors lilt gtfo
Agreed 100%
Lou Dickson That's the mentality, you should always believe you'll win ever game, no one goes in to the playoffs thinking, okay we'll win in 6
+LuckyC1723 lol true...it's all about confidence
lmao have you all noticed that Mike Korzemba doesn't blink?
He blinked 2 times in the first 2 min
Yup
Creepy
4:10 he blinked
its because he cuts
Current 76ers would destroy any team

Why is Nevil from iCarly talking to me about basketball.

He wasn't talking to you, you came to watch him. Says more about you ;)
+99keltin it's a joke cupcake. Don't get your panties and Jordans tangled
+99keltin You are disgustingly stupid.
+99keltin you are a fucking dumbass
Preach
no one said he's goat. we just said that if he keeps improving and continuing this level of play for the next few years he will be goat. for crying out loud we dont know if hes reached his prime yet. he keeps improving every season its in the stats
+Jay Onez wow man agree with everything you said. AMAZINGLY PUT!!!!!
I'm not a Jodan fan at all but I'm no hater. LeBron, Kobe,Magic and Bird where completely amazing. Jordan is the best without a doubt.
Same
I'm not a old head and Jordan will one day be surpassed
I just dont think LeBron has done that yet and I think it is too late
And dont forget Kareem and Wilt

The more I watch this video, the more I realize that the NBA community is the worst community in terms of sports.
ehh well I would say the football/soccer community is pretty much the same but on a different scale. But idk which has the worst community there are some stupid people who watch basket ball and soccer. ima say soccer because of the large amount of people who watch it.
BRO YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE AFL (Australian Football League) COMMUNITY
RJ West [AMN] u don't know what real intertainment is
Says to not compare different eras but makes a whole video about how wilt wouldn't be good in today's era
Haha got em
I know right
He should make a conspiracy video about that
When did he say he wouldnt be "good" ?
But he compared eras...
All curry does is shoot, Jordan did everything, driving, posting up, shooting 3's quit comparing a good season or 2 to a a whole career of greatness
u obviously don't watch basketball dude averages like seven steals a game and can drive to the hoop
+Crakka Da Jakka seven steals what man shut the fuck up and check the numbers before you talk numbers
+Crakka Da Jakka 7 ok u a bandwagon
+David Baik ok first of learn how to fucking read. second I never once said I was a fan of GS I just respect Curry's game. just because u respect the way someone plays that makes u a bandwagon fan?
First of all if someone can play with the the flu in the finals and still drop over 40pts? You can't compare anyone to a GOAT
Are you asking a question or stating something?
G.O.A.T is subjective.
100% bro
They say he wasn't sick. They say he was hungover
+Shottyboy2 !!! lmao
Amen Mike. Amen.

curry will probably go down as the most overrated superstar ever
I think we found the biased LeBron fan
+OG MONSTER titis
+Chandler Galvan kd is better than kobe #Facts
LeBron is still the best definitely
+Gabriel Waggoner Not the most valuable though. At least according to the league vote.
+Gabriel Waggoner jorden is
+Dom2K So true, man.
That pippen quote is 100% accurate tho. Maybe bulls in 5 but '96 bulls are the best team ever
The Warriors would easily get a few games just because Kerr coaches them and was on that Bulls team. He would know the perfect strategies to help the Warriors win, because he was part of the team he has to understand.
I kinda hate curry and the Warriors, but there is no doubt this is the best team ever
Facts
+DeadlyArc180 warriors in 6
+Antoniman 49 No, you have to still consider the state of the league. For instance, the 1972 Miami Dolphins went undefeated and won the Super Bowl. The 2004 New England Patriots are often considered a better team than the aforementioned Miami team, even though they went 14-2. Sorry for making a football example rather than basketball lol
Curry will never be as good as Mj

There should be no comparison between Curry and Lebron..But they do it anyways
They in the same era. U don't know shit
See why that's not a smart comparison now?
lebron and curry are completely different players idk people just hate on Steph
+Christopher Hatcher curry a good shooter and dribbler, passing ok but if u think curry is a good defender then u must think James harden will win dpoy
nah its just people hate this bandwagon no one knew steph until 2015
You're exaggerating. Steph was an all-star caliber point guard since 2013, and everyone was talking about how great of a 3 point shooter he was, and how he could be the greatest shooter of all time when all is said and done ..
funny i could of sworn people were doing the same to MJ till he started winning championships
Dregs yea we gonna act like his shoes were not flying off the shelves. Also his Jordan commercials were everywhere, all star starters, 1988 MVP, and multiple late night talk show interviews (back then, if you were on a late night talk show you were A list)
***** true true
Dreams Worth More Than Money lol i cant
t-mac was correct tho, curry voted unanimously as mvp really does show how watered down the nba is.
+Theevilrhino lebron shouldn't have 4 unanimous MVP awards lol you gassed it
+Jay TS ur right. He should have 5
Theevilrhino Not unanimous he should've gotten one though that 2013 year
+Jay TS what defines deserving a unanimous mvp in your eyes?
MJ was everywhere and did everything on the court.
youre so right. its too bad no one else sees what we see. its pathetic. curry is ruining the league.
If u removed the three point line and curry shot the same shots he would average 25 ppg, sit down he doesn't rely on threes
+Snake EyeX2 L
+Harry Garris W
+Harry Garris
I think where Curry might end up having the most impact is on the FUTURE of basketball.
+G lmao chill
Larry Bird has major stock in the CURRENT NBA. He would be a fool to say the guys of yesteryear are or were better than the guys that get him paid and vise versa
+Neal X "Larry Legend was the, and still is the Greatest-All Time for overall game and clutch performances..in my, and millions of others, opinion!
+Johnny Guit Larry Bird barely top 5 lmao
Steph curry isn't the problem, it's his fans
Your profile pic creeps me out bro 😂😂😂
what do ya mean?
No 3 point line, no curry
+nicksneakerkid6 If you took the 3 point line out and Steph took the same shots, he would have averaged 25 ppg this season.....
Get rekt fool
THANK U!!!!!
Dumbass finally some curry hater got put in their place... How bout u reslond to Mike
so true
Thank God someone had to say it
I'm sick of people always putting down Steph's accomplishments. He's a player that our kids and future generations will wish they were able to see. I'm a Wizards fan and I can acknowledge the fact Stephen Curry is an incredible player. I just wish haters would see it too
Steph curry career isn't even over yet. I hate how ppl say he better than Mike already
True and Curry isn't gonna last as long as other nba superstar because hes got glass ankles at the age hes at
+Taten Mullikint 😂😂😂😂
who ever says that Curry is beter than Jordan is REAL stupid. don't waste your time listening to such non since. FOREAL
If he continues to be at this rate rn or even better for the rest of his career he'll definitely be top 20
datz the only thing that pisses me off about dat convo..... Like u can't say he's the greatest if he don't got da accolades to prove it.
there is comparisson to Jordan , even Jordan himself say - there is young me on Russ Westbrook

lol I watch the video, went to the comments and first thing I see is comparisons lol
True
Nothing wrong with comparisons but the way people do it is annoying and pointless. Lol.
Tell em mike basketball is about enjoying it not comparing I hate that
+Isaiah Hollis My man. Glad you love the game
+Mike Korzemba Lol thanks bro 💪
true, but the game is no longer the same.
I only compare players to make people show some respek
Same
Jeff Van Gundy's question doesn't fit the subject of your video.
Thank you
Friends: What is your favorite basketball player?
Me: LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kobe, MJ, Klay Thomp-
Friends: Your such a bandwagon!
Me: I didn't know that liking players that made basketball great made me a bandwagon.
TheAngelGamer157 axb Klay Thompson made the game great? Lemme guess your a bitch ass warriors bandwagoner.
my Favs-Curry, Curry, Curry, Curry and Steph Curry
Ok kid . Keep it up
I dont hate steph curry. I have nothing to hate about him. I hate the fact that, espn overate him and use michael's name to get people to read/get views. All of this comparing the nba does today is for attention and money
Well they broke Michael's record...who else do you wanna compare them to? Ru Paul?
+Julian Butler i don't care if they talked about curry, just not 24/7
+collin brougher My point exactly. Tip riding is my only problem with curry and gsw. you couldn't find these same people 3 or 4 years ago
+Robert Rawins u agree with the scoring...he had 24 points in 3 minutes last night
It's not picks that we hate him (and the warriors) for, it's the ILLEGAL picks
Exactly
+DomzMC What do you mean it's not their fault? They're the ones setting the picks. It's also the refs fault for letting them get away with it
200%
+DomzMC The refs take the blame for not calling them. I get what you're saying. But it's also the warriors fault for setting them. I mean the refs aren't setting those picks
+Jason Mahoney exactly, set the pick and stay still, not keep moving....smdh
But...
You compared Wilt's 50.4 ppg season to current players... You didn't put down Wilt, sure, but you still made comparisons. I love your vids bro, but it's a bit hypocritical.
+Johan Lindfelt comparing statistics is 100% legit. comparing players and saying one isnt better than the other based off of irrational opinions is not. thats the point here
+dillon martella I completely agree
+Antonio Llopart but you can still compare Curry's stats to Jordan's stats still...
That's what some do...
+AZ PITBOSS 😂😂😂😂😂 Cox n Dix
Why the fuck they hating on Steph Curry? He's a great player, what's wrong with that? He has fun, in something s'posed to be fun.
Sarken The stupid bandwagons.
Mj is better
Michael Jackson Sure, I can agree on that. I'm not saying Curry is the GOAT. But it's MJ, the 2nd GOAT. How do you compete with that?
Sarken because Stephane is a woman
Who's Stephane?
This guy should be on ESPN or sportsnation he is one of the greatest basketball anylists
Yeah, that's what I think
Then how come you made a video saying wilt's 50 ppg season was overrated?
+ÉlChamoSucio OOOOOOOOHHHHHH Burn! ;P
Get reeked mike!!!!!!' 😱
What? Why wouldn't he? Did you watch the video?
probably because to a degree it is.
+Tyrel Litte nah
You know it's early when there's no thumbnail yet lol
Ikr
+Thomas T Wow its like i am looking in a mirror:D
+Thomas T That confuses me every time lol. When the video goes live, the thumbnail just disappears for a minute.
Mike Korzemba i love your videos man
Mike, if everyone sincerely has your mentality of appreciating greatness and enjoy the these once-in-a-lifetime generational players, there would not be so many trolls and haters on the internet.
+phil6057 there were also athletic fast paced players back then like penny hardaway
+phil6057 must be why jordan dropped 50 in 2003... and avg 20pts 44 field goad percent
i strongly agree with you
If you are in the NBA then u are fucking good at basketball. there leave it at that.
so kwame brown is good? buahahahahaha you funny
+TheBloodmist81 Kwame brown is a beast
+TheBloodmist81 could you beat Kwame 1v1?
+Arcadian Mirrorz probably cause hes a bum lol
TheBloodmist81 ever seen normal people try and beat Brian Scalbrini 1v1? It would be the same thing
I wanted the warriors to get 73 and wanted steph to get a unanimous mvp even though I'm a Cavs fan. (btw I live in ohio I've been a cavs fan since I was verry little.) I love that steph is humble, he shouldn't be hated his greatness should be enjoyed.
+ShamSham I agree completely, even though I'm a Lakers fan. It's a sad time for me lol.
what's so humble about him ? He's a cocky little fuck
Hussein Jaafar Have you ever heard him? He's cocky on the court, but once he steps off it he's a very humble man.
we need more NBA viewers like you...
Respect bro
I think the reason why I personally dislike players like LeBron and Steph Curry is because it gets jammed down my throat that they are great. I'd rather have my personal team which is the Celtics go up against these greats and I'd rather have them win. I'm always up for competitiveness , but the fans of the Great people always jam it down my throat. making it impossible for me to see them in a positive light while they still play.
i believe people get mad when they compare because people always compare 2 completely diff players
+Lacy Coleman because players in every era are different players for the most part... the game changes
Exactly. How do you compare two different players who have nothing in common about their play style🤔
+Rasheed Bland not impossible. when a person says Michael is the greatest of all time they mean amongst every player not just 2 guards. one can say that James Harden is better than Dwight Howard. play styles don't really dictate rather or not you can say a player is better than the other.
+Ray Croxton Yes they do. You can't compare a guard to a center because they're jobs are completely different. Different positions have different jobs
Becouse they know Lebron is too strong and at same time fast to unbalance the whole game
Dont believe in Myths ,they want U too.Cos its good for their bussiness
Respect
+Turbo Roman u suck, ur #3 reason. how about kobe ang shaq? kobe, gasol, bynum..
+Turbo Roman back in 80? u only see oakley? celtics and lakers run that era, useless explanation....
+Turbo Roman Good analyst
You cant even use proper grammar.
Great video. it's funny cause all the people that talk shit about steph today are gunna be telling their grandkids about how great it was to watch him
+Sam O I agree
totally agree
+Sam O TRUE
Yeah because he's beating everyone like Jordan did. How can you like him when he's killing your team. My dad was a knicks fan in the 90s he hated jordan. But of course he appreciates him now
"I love to watch Russel Westbrook and Kevin's Durant" - Lol!
Pippin has a point. I think the 96/97 Bulls would beat the Warriors.
Nah it should be 95-96
Whoops, my mistake.
95-96 for sure they would rip them up
+AlphaLineGaming maybe, but i don't know.. i know that 2k games aren't perfect but they give a pretty good idea of players and teams, when you play with the 96/97 bulls, there are many thing you need to deal with, first, not that many good ball handlers, longley is actually shit, rodman is ok, but not a scoring threat. kukoc isn't that great a 3pt shooter, and he was a bit slow and sluggish on the ball, pippen isn't that great one on one offensively, kerr doesn't shoot off the dribble that well.. then theres jordan who's awesome, can do it all, but still insonsistent from outside. think maybe the bulls are, dare i say it, a bit over hyped!
+Kostas Tzovlas lol 2k dumbass
Look i grew up watching MJ from when he started right through his championship years then to the very end and i understand people who will say Curry is heading to the greatest but those of us who grew up watching MJ. Will tell you that MJ just had the little thing more when he played everything vs him was in slow motion he was total control
stop comparing him to mj first thing is if you compare mj to anyone it should be lebron not necessary the rings but his game and this still lebron town
+notedom LeBron ain't shit to Jordan kid
+What it do maybe in rings but im talking about his overall game

No.. i just dont care.

Who the fuck even supported warriors before they started winning ??? Ok.
+straightuplazy CR People who live in the city... You're telling me you can't be a fan of a team because they are losing?
+Nick M i get your point but tech you don't have to live in the city to where you instantly have to love the team
cuz i live in Oregon and i like golden state and i don't like Portland and Portland is in Oregon
+iTz_HyDrO Ive liked GSW since 2011 because they were the first team i watched play. So a while.
iTz_HyDrO I never said that, but usually people cheer for their home team. Key word usually. They don't have to be winning for you to be a fan of them.
+Nick M My whole family has loved this team since the 70s... People act like the warriors don't have fans.
Exactly. When I saw people hating on Kobe when he scored 60 in his last game, unable to appreciate a great moment, I knew that they'd never achieve greatness themselves. You have to recognize it when you see it.
So many people copying your style of videos yet your are still different and better keep it up bro
+Breezy DabbN Thanks my dude I will!
Curry fans don't know basketball first they say he's better than lebron hell no then go compared him to mj? Please!!!
preach. anyone who thinks Curry is better than lebron is just a hype beast or dumbass.
Better than both of them at shooting + they were never at the cusp of 73 wins so I personally think Curry is better than both
+jzon3251 so you're telling me that if curry were to break his legs and never play basketball again that you would think he would be remembered as the greatest player ever? If so you got a lot of problems man.
+Bob Vanilla ce keyword PERSONALLY and my only problem is that nobody can accept the fact that Curry is breaking records and winning games like he did last year which he was commended for. I understand there are idiots that hate on him for the fact that they can't do anything else better with their life and probably make their moms cry while saying fuck Curry... it's a fact
jzon3251 keep thinking that but it's not true.
Jordan wipes the floor with him 1 on 1, Jordan is the best 1 on 1 player EVER, EVER
another delusional brainwashed drone who bought into Nike's marketing. Michael is not a god.
Kobe in his prime vs Jordan in his prime, Kobe wins

+pretty nigga You are a dumb ass, go watch some old 90s games kid
I think Scottie Pippin woulda beat Mike 1-2 outta 5. Clyde Drexler woulda had a chance on a good day. Kobe is the obvious biggest comp. Mike woulda ate Lebron lunch. I think it woulda took Lebron closer to 6-7 games to win 1
Don't compare curry and Jordan
King Wade he didn't dumbass

I have never heard a basketball fan have such a similar mind to me. I am subbing simply because of this video, because you said everything I have ever tried to say to people calling me a "bandwagon fan" of Steph. He is GREAT! He is doing things we have never seen a player do before, and those people that are hating on him now will regret that they didn't just sit back and watch greatness when he was in his prime. They will wonder what they were doing with their life, hating on a superstar in the best sport on earth.
Jordan still better tho
Yeah obviously lol

how about moving screens by bogut and D. green?
+Condom Maniac Thank you. You get it
Truw
+Condom Maniac When Bogut does it he does a moon walk into the opposing player, its actually pretty funny , sucks for the game but that man has the moves lol
Like he said, Curry was the backbone of the Warriors LAST YEAR. But this year, Green and Thompson help hold up the team dramatically.
Ok, let's talk about the traveling and double dribble that happens multiple times a game?
Curry is probably the most overhyped player In the last decade. Since when is a deadeye shooter with limitless range and weak defense the goat let alone the best player?
if you pay attention then you would know that stephs Dfence isnt weak
but he lead the league in steals......weak Defence I guess
Tyrel Litte That's the only thing he is good at on defense.
+Craig Simpson in the 80's? michael was drafted in 87... not a lot of time in the 80's for him
+dillon martella 1984 was his draft class
+Craig Simpson Until these players have crossed eras, you can't really say that can you?
If Shaq stayed in LA & Orlando
If Brandon Roy had not got injured
curry will never be on the same level as jordan
facts
Sniperflashgaming k
Sniperflashgaming shooting threes doesn't matter
FAX
My issue isn't with Curry it's with a sport that is so watered down with prissy contact fouls and players flopping like a bad pro wrestlers that It made what was my number one sport growing up a completely unwatchable heap of garbage compared to the 80's-90's.
If curry keeps up this type of play for the next couple of years he will be the greatest of all time

That awkward moment when a white boy has a high IQ on basketball
How's that awkward?
Um.... I would pull the race card but Id prefer not to get fucking killed
Yeah
because you can lead a team to a championship in the NBA "by yourself". in the MLB and NFL you NEED a team to get to a championship.
Because in those sports the positions are so different that there isn't a GOAT
+Turtle in the nfl the qb drives the team to the championship...

Exactly LeBron has 5 mvps and even though his win to lose ratio in finals is bad but look how much times he went there a 12 years
+I Am Legend and some people still say he's not that good and other things
actually its not the accolades but the thing he does on the court is abysmal. the last time people saw this type of dominance was when mike was killing his opponents. thats what where the comparisons is.
Because he is at the top of the league, when lebron had no titles, people still compared him to jordan
See you jumped on the bandwagon but you aren't going around saying after 2 good seasons he is the best of all time
+Bob Vanilla ce It's too early to be talking like that.

You also can't compare different positions. It's different types of play styles and not comparable

+Jay Onez LeBron was a rookie LMAO AI was veteran too LMAO please stop!!
He's not even considered a starter in most people's eyes.
curry is top 400 in my book u know how many great players there were in NBA history people don't even have mj in top 10 lol its a lot check out Pete meravich higjlights NBA rules let's curry look better or derrick rose highlights vs wade and lebron in playoffs to name a few
it's not just about how good a player is its also about teamwork because teamwork make the dream work
+Juan Veliz If the MVP award actually went to the most valuable player than lebron would win every year lol They should change the name of the award because from this season steph was obviously the best
Curry top 5? dumbass
Nah, I'm a Laker fan
thank you thats what i say
Those questions on who monta Ellis and Jason Richardson are for those who been liking the warriors since their championship run I started like the warriors in the 2010-2011 season because curry was dominant at Davidson (also because I started playing basketball and developing my love for it) but in LA it is true I go to clipper and laker games that the warriors don't even play in and their are kids and 11-13 year olds wearing curry jerseys .
