Hope you were able to find a different way back... that traffic heading the other way from you is absolutely dire. And this road used to be even twistier?
The road did indeed use to be more narrow and winding but it was a dead-end until the tunnel opened and by then it had been widened and realigned. I did choose another way back but there was also traffic, first weekend of the season with snow!
