I loved it when you threw the wishlist button instead of the spear xD (Wishlisted btw) Love the process behind your art. And the new melee attack looks awesome, and i'm sure it will be useful. One note is the town/NPCs: the idea of freeing them and they all show up in one screen sounds to me a lot like the scrubs form HK. One cool idea could be to make some "safe screens" in between the "level screens" where some of the NPCs you free in that zone appear, this will show the land be repopulated and give the player a zone to catch their break in between of some difficult platforming and/or combat. Plus they can still appear inside the city. This is just a suggestion tho ;)
Wow man, nice work! You're getting a LOT done in what feels like a very small amount of time. I can also relate to being inspired by HK (but not wanting to get called a HK clone.) Keep it up! Loving the progress
Wow, it's amazing how far you can get with simple shapes and parallax! Thanks for explaining your art design process. It's actually super insightful. Your game really does look good even with it's simple design and has given me something to think about going forward for any art I might try to make for a game in the future.
Thanks for the awesome comment! Sorry for the late reply, it was in my 'held for review' section that I never look at hehe. Making games is an awesome hobby, you gotta do it :D
cool I wishlisted looks nice but FYI platformers don't really sell on Steam so I recommend finishing this project quick and then starting a new one in a more popular genre
I don't think you should confine your art by the "hollow knight clone" types comments. While some games clearly go for that specific art style, simply adding blur to your foreground or black outlines does not make it like hollow knight. There are plenty of games featuring these elements and they look nothing like HK. Even the art style i created for my game has these elements and i get Ori and the blind forest type of comments rather than hollow knight.
Your game looks awesome! Already added to my steam wishlist!
Oh hello! and thank you! :D
Using the spear as a platform is so cool! And love the art direction, all seems very chill.
Chill is exactly what I was going for :D thanks!
I think the art and the mechanics are coming together great! Nice work! You got a Wishlist from me!
Thank you very much! :D
Excellent to see how much better the steam page and art is compared to super neat cat!
Thanks Skeffles! :D
that is awesome! I like how you can damage an enemy with a spear when it returns back to you! also using it to climb higher- nice! good luck to you!
PlayStazhia~ I'm glad people think its cool, and thanks for watching :D

@@NeatGames Yeah...I've heard others tell me the same about my comments being held for review. Pretty annoying but I'm glad you managed to find it!
Wow well done with the amount of work you put into this! 100% wishlisted.
Thanks a bunch! :D
I wishlisted ^^

Looks great! I love the spear mechanic!
Thanks for checking it out :D It is fun to use~
Just wishlisted it! Great work so far!
*edit: You could use outlines in a darker tone as the main colour of the coresponding object.
Thanks for watching! I do that a bit on many of the player layer objects, but perhaps I could intensify it more~ :D
I love the spear mechanic, and the cute graphics! :)
Thanks and that's good! Those are my main hooks I think :D
@@NeatGames I hope your game will be successful :)

Thanks and true~ this is a slightly more popular niche (metroidvania), but it is saturated as well hehe
Oh, yeah. I have seen you before😂
Nice to see you :D

Tis very true! I've just seen too much hate on the Metroidvania Sub-Reddit I think haha.
