  • Franks patio (95 year old Veteran) was unsafe and messy. But with very limited money, replacing the whole thing was impossible. So restoring it on an extremely tight budget was our only choice.
Watch as I transform Franks old and rundown patio into a beautiful oasis garden for a deserving elderly man in need. This heart-warming makeover will inspire you as we restore the pavers to somewhere near their former glory, creating a space where he can relax and safely enjoy the outdoors. Get ready to be touched by the incredible transformation and the joy it brings to this deserving man.
This is the last hurdle before I can get stuck into the garden for real and get the garden finished off with lots of plants and create the space he deserves.
Day 1 • Helping 94 YEAR OLD Ve...
    Day 2 • 94 - Year-Old Veteran'...
    Thanks for watching

Thanks Teresa ☺️ I must admit, it's not my favorite job to do as I prefer working with green things that grow 😂 but I find it essential to lower the amount of regular maintenance. Plus, Frank gets a clear and less slippy walkway.

    More than just 'gardening'.
For the planting, maybe a couple of dwarf rootstock fruit trees. For example, a double grafted apple, 1 cooking and 1 eating. The other either a plum or pear, whichever the owner prefers. And then a mix of veg and herbs with flowering perennials for the pollinators.

That's a very nice thing to say 😊 I'm glad you're enjoying the videos. Honestly, it makes me so happy that people can sit and watch and enjoy some of the gardens I'm lucky enough to work in.
      Thanks again
      Martin.

@thegardeneruk just crack on and get them done in the rain, dude 😅😁
Lawn mowing, I find the worst. Some years, it's been so hot the grass doesn't grow or too wet, and it's too hard to cut! 😁 still, it beats the heck out of working in an office 👍

And then it started to rain again 😁 still, it beats the heck out of working in an office.

How was the mix made ? Did you add water?

    • @martinthegardenguy
      @martinthegardenguy  3 месяца назад

Hi, did you miss the start of the video? 😊 it was approximately sand and cement 4:1 ratio. Or there abouts.
With a litte water just to create a crumbly mortar that I could press into the joints 😁👍
      I hope that helps.
