So I have another big cleanup for you today, and it's a good one. I went around to this property to do a quote for a young family as they had a rental inspection coming up. They were concerned that they were going to fail, and you can see why. After doing the estimate, the young lady was obviously concerned about the price, so I did her a great deal and also did a lot of extra work. The extra work included all of the front and the power washing, plus the nice discount on the back. It's really a massive transformation and a cool episode. All up, the job took me around 10 hours to complete, including 2 trips to the landfill, with just under a ton of material taken out.

    FAQ's:
    Q: Where are you located?
A: I am from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 5 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: Mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of bins?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I would say it's because Australia had a temperate to tropical climate, and therefore it doesn't matter that much if they are outdoors. To me, though, it seems a bit inefficient to have them outside in Tasmania with a temperate climate (coldish for 3 - 4 months per year). But that is industry standard down here 🤷‍♂️
Q: Why don't you have help?
A: I've had many problems with employees in the past, so now I work alone.
    Q: Why don't you have a ride-on mower?
A: Well, there are a few reasons.
    1. I don't have the right trailer for a ride on, considering I always take away the green waste.
    2. I don't have anywhere to store it, as my shed is too small.
    3. A lot of the properties we do have fences and gates, so you can't actually get a ride-on on to the properties.
    4. I don't do enough big jobs to justify spending 15k AUD on a stander, but it would be nice to have one!
    5. I will get one as soon as my transport and storage problems are solved.
Q: What types of ladders do you use?
A: The large one is a Gorilla Adjustable Platform 150kg and the small one is a Gorilla Mighty 19. They are both adjustable.
    Q: Who/what is Jim's Mowing?
A: Jim's Mowing is a franchise business. The Jim's Group is the biggest home services franchise in Australia.
Q: Why do you have 2 channels that seem to be the same?
A: Quick Cuts (my original channel) has music in the background. Quick Cuts V2 is for those that like just machine noise, and it doesn't have music.

You don’t have to have something big, fancy or expensive to have pride in what you have. Keep it neat, clean and tidy and it will help you feel good too. Something looks depressing, then it’s depressing to be around it. I saw this tiny little house in West Virginia, you could tell they took pride in their place. She would have the most beautiful flowers growing around her place every summer. It was an envy to everyone. I couldn’t wait to see it every time I passed. It was simple, beautiful and loved.

I don't know if it will happen in England, but in my country there are people who throw their garbage in other people's yards. I live near a school, I don't like throwing garbage on the ground, but I always find bottles or wrappers of chips or ice cream or others in my yard, garbage that I never left. It's quite unpleasant.

Also clearly very recent stuff like the abandoned chipboard in the front garden (grass under it wasn't dead yet so there a week maybe) which would have taken what all of 60 seconds to lift up and move off the grass to leave outside with the bins. Says alot about the 'customer', your very generous with giving them a discount.

Undiscovered sidewalk and the triangular center. added a touch of elegance to the entrance. A nice red-leafed tree would look nice there. Power washing it all made the home a Real Home. Neat and clean. Now the back area. OMG is an understatement! Trash, garbage, a tree. The patio? I thought it was just a little area, maybe 8x10. You found the whole thing. What a great job! So satisfying to see the backyard cleaned up. I had to laugh when you found the wine and the guitar. The wine is probably still good! And it was amazing that there was no lawn in the backyard only pavers and yet there was grass growing everywhere. The whole yard looks wonderful now. The pressure washing was the frosting on the cake. And personally I like your selection of music - very pleasant and soothing. Looking forward to your next video.

That was years of neglect, not one year. Even with small children you can get outside an hour or two a week and do a little at a time. This is pure laziness. The sad thing is, when you help do the clean up, they just let it go again and some other dear person will do it for them, I know, I have done it too many times. You went above and beyond. You really did a nice job George :) I love that you are so precise, removing every pile of garbage and fully clean every area ;-) However, I cannot imagine how people are able to live in such a dirty, unorganized environment. Really only a minimal amount of time should be spent on maintaining the area. At least they could have picked up the trash. Let's just say that I feel that, even though it was nicely cleaned up, if they haven't dealt with it before, they won't in the future.
