Congrats from Canada love ya bud
Cool. Much love from USA
Thank you please give us vodka
Much love from USA 🇺🇸
I remember watching Jake as a greenhorn and I felt connected to him then, it’s really heartwarming to see him do so well, it gives me hope I can as well, stay safe out there Captain!!!!
You will.
You feel connected? You got issues
These guys make it possible for families to enjoy family time over seafood dinners in nice restaurants
Went on a cruise to Alaska a while ago. Can confirm
@@brandonjc13 that doesn’t mean you can confirm lmao
@@altqq1755 I enjoyed family time over seafood in a nice restaurant with king crab caught off of the Cornelia Marie (or was it the Time Bandit? I don't remember but it was one ship featured on the show that caught for the restaurant). So my family enjoyed it but I can't speak for every family I guess 😂
Not had Discovery channel in a while but it always used to go in a cannery didn't it? Not so much restaurant quality
These days not very many families can enjoy a trip to a restaurant and have crab. Too expensive.
I'm so proud of Jake!!! It warms my heart to see him do well
@@henrygriffen40 A beast? At the beginning he was very humble, but now all he does is argue and cause confusion, he doesn't have problem solving skills. I admire his advancement from a green horn to boat owner however, I hope in the future he does much better and get a steady regular crew.
He’s a drunk
@@paleo704 Yeah but we all have issues right?
@@paleo704 but he’s sober u clown.
Jake's a good kid , from the bottom to the top it's been a journey that I'm glad I got to witness.
Remember watching way back in early 2000’s , he’s come a long way and Phil would be proud!
From deckhand to crab captain... nice journey jake
I also think jake worked in the factories before hand
@j trk what do you mean by luck? He has worked his ass off since he started in factories. He deserves every credit he gets
Are you crazy??!!!! The guy is completely unstable!! Shouting and jumping up and down like a toddler having a tantrum. Seriously, grow a brain. What is wrong with you thinking this guy has potential??!!! He’s psychologically unstable.
iwant that kind of job im long time a fisherman man of the tuna pursianer
@@racheltaaffe8357 all of these guys are unstable
I’m happy to see this. I don’t watch this show often but it seems like Jake is always having something go wrong in every episode, through no fault of his own. Happy to see him happy.
Oh man...Nick and Todd both on this one. God bless you two guys. RIP
a big RIP to nick and i know u will be missed. 2021
Which one is nick
@@beegyoshi5073 the one that got slapped with a piece of ice earlier in video, died of an drug overdose late December 2020
Todd is gone too, crushed while on another boat.
Watching these videos again makes me sad to see Todd. Rest in peace, no one deserves to go that way.
Edit: I just noticed Nick was there too. FML
since the start to now they've had like 10 deaths. Watching old episodes and seeing half the crew that has died now is weird.
@@Autistic_Pixel and yet somehow Crazy Freddy is still there last I've seen.
@@jordanpeterson5140 Freddy died too
@@angelochoa5020 like I said, last I've seen. Haven't watched in a while.
Didn't Todd get crushed or something?
Dude legit Jake was due for a good streak
Wild bill and his crew are awesome! “ if one more guy gets hurt. Im kicking his ass “ . That’s a true boss right there. Lol
I remember the first episode of Deadliest Catch I watched, Jake was the greenhorn, top bloke.
RIP Todd. When Wild Bill says "He was a good hand," that's a real compliment. You can tell by the way he attacks this ice, and offers to burn everyone's breakfast XD
I never thought having a case of crabs would be a good thing lol
I have it, I enjoy it

i love jake. he's my friends uncle and i've met him before. super nice dude and he's amazing at guitar

Man. Ive watched the beggining of jakes journey. Hes chaged so much. Def giving off Phil and sig vibes
I like how Jake does a little more “cheerleading” than other captains on the intercom XD
HELLO,
greetings from us Indonesian fishermen .. May all fishermen always be protected by God.
😊😊🤲🤲🤲🤲
Greetings from a biker fisher man from London FabzRustRider
It’s crazy seeing nick and Todd. RIP to them both.
At the start of Season 14 he was a complete rookie Captain, that still relied on the senior guys like Sig and Keith for advice. Fast forward to season 17, and he's now one of the best young captains in the entire fleet. Plus Mandy is already proving better at forming alliances than Sig, and has benefited from them when they have struggled to find King crab
Amazing job, always respect from S.korea. Thanks for your labor.
Rip Nick. That kid was a monster on a boat.....any boat. He kicked a drug habit and showed how strong he really was. He'll be missed!
He died of an overdose, so didn't really kick his habit.
@@jeffglidewell102just because you fall off and overdose doesn't change the fact he had a really bad habit and did kick it for years...then whatever demons he had came back and took his life. Yet if it makes you feel good to put a dead man down that's ok. I'd probably look deep inside yourself to find the reason you chose to pick my comment apart to make him look bad. that's petty and ugly. he was a awsome guy who had a really deadly problem and still made a huge impact in alot of peoples lives.
@@larrybushey9207 I'm sure he was a great guy. Don't know though, never met him. I feel I have a right to say what I said because I had an opiate and heroin addiction for about 12 years. Once you're addicted to opiates...you never "kick the habit". It changes you and stays with you forever.
When you start thinking you've "beat this demon", that's when shit goes wrong. Today I'm 3 years clean, and own a house with my fiancee and 2 month old son. I never kicked my habit, I simply put a leash on my demons but im well aware of their existence, still.
The same with Todd too when he died on another boat from being crushed by a pot.
"Ice is not nice.".
--Bill "Wild Bill" Wichrowski.
See jakes developing that Gruff Bering sea captains voice.
That’s heavy smoking for you Lol
I hope he finds a better way to deal with all that stress than smoking
Am i the only one who randomly found these videos and now addicted to it.
That would terrify me having those wireless earphones in my ears during that. Im afraid of losing those lmao
I’m more worried about the corrosion, seawater kills electronics like nothing else, you spot that Marshall speaker?
A win for Jake is a win for the good guys! So proud of him. May his pops RIP. If he reads this, we're proud of you, buddy.
How can you not love Jake. Truly a great captain. And RIP to these faces that are no longer with us.
These captains make driving look easy. Amazing.
They need to supply their workers with helmets... lol
i work with this ship on 2019 , very nice and some times very dread , oh my
So glad to see it coming together for Jake
You don't want to be roaming around the Opie grounds and have a load of pots with 30 tons of ice in them. Ice sinks boats get rid of it or you will end up like Ocean Challenger, Big Valley and Destination all went down because they have ice on the deck.
You work for the MAIB? Or are you just spouting what you've seen on here? Their pots iced up making them top heavy and unable to recover from being pitched then rolled.
It’s crazy to see Nick and Todd at the beginning of this.
Jake sounds like an old salt now lol
R.I.P. Nick R.I.P. Todd
I feel you, Clay. You slip/trip and fall, and you just want to lay there. Bit someone is watching, so you got to get up so they know you are ok.
I want to do a season or two of crab fishing. I’d love it! Men from the boys!
Always liked Jake,he earned his good luck.
I've grafted all my workin life, moving engine blocks from place to place from a young age, molten liquid factory work, huge industrial machinery to now a commercial absiler. I abseil and climb sky scrapers all day every , use up to 400m's of rope we let doen and pull up 3/4 times a day , every day.
I woupd love to try this graft, even now but i don't think i could do it. I love these guys , followed them for 17yrs .
God bless you man and all of you stay safe
It would appear Captain Jake has finally earned Poseidon's respect. :-)
love u uncle jakeey good to see u at the celabration of life for my dad
Sounds like a sig saying .” It’s a real hard job. And it’s a really really hard job to have fun doing. But the best do”🤯
Jake Anderson is on track to be the next legend after Phil Harris
Lol she’s dusk on deck and noon in the wheel house
I think some of Jake Anderson's crew forgot to take some crabs out around 6:10...
The best yet I've seen $$$.
Dudes got his air pods in like "I cant feel it" - Bills like "yea it's split open, i couldnt tell" camera man like "OMG THE WORLDS GONNA END"
So insanely happy for Jake and the crew in this clip! 🙏🏻🦀♥️
RIP to Todd and Nick. Calm seas boys.
Either Jakes hitting puberty or the ciggies are roughening up his voice. All raspy. Sounds like he will sound like Phil. Rip phil
Screaming and the cold will do that just ask a gunny
He is speed running Phil's life
trying to sound like sig hansen
Chain smoking because your stressed will do that
Smoked out voice box
Con solo una línea y llena el barco.k pasada..un saludo desde Écija sevilla españa
Wow! That's a lot of crabs 😲
I remember second contract in Okhotsk sea near ilend Ptichiy ( Birds ilend ) ....F\V JUNO , 9 guis crew ...40 days fishing -------550 tons red king krab !!!! 24 hours -- 55 tons ! tanks on JUNO was only 55 tons ...It was a very good time !!!!! august 1995 ....
Talk about Sniffin' Snow!! Ahaha that shit had his whole face numb, nose bloody an errythang hahaha
2 people who worked for Bill have recently passed. Rip
Who are they
its a good thing matt made that court date all those seasons ago
There’s crab in the four peak. Hahahaha that’s funny
RIP Todd and Nick
Ice on a boat is no joke. Makes her very unstable and even more topheavy than she already is. Boat could flip over before you even realize you're in trouble. Ice is what killed Destination and Scandies Rose. Having it on the deck is just as bad as having water in the hull, both will kill you very fast unless you stay one step ahead of it and prevent it from getting too bad.
It's eerie to think the two people in the very first scene together are now dead.
I m from india & I like you show too much ...
Haven’t watched this in a long time. Jake’s voice is raspy as fuck now. Sounds like an old fisherman now
RIP Todd I saw he was with Bill
RIP TODD
Dude really tried to milk that split nose hoping the captain would tell him to go home. 🤣

Rip Nick
Jake one of my favorites but gots to quit the smoking or something
Agreed but it is a tough job and everyone needs their coping and I remember one of the captains says most of these captains don’t reach the age of 60 because of bad habits while being a captain because it is so stressful
Either that or lines of coke....
@@mikehoncho8896 must be some good coke
....yeah,stop smoking foil ,sry.
Yeah could be a lot worse, could be on coke or meth
God knows how he thought it was a good idea to swing at a block of ice above his head. I will never know
Well that guy is dead now... I'm not sure for what reason though.
After the first season my favorite captain was from the fierce allegiance.
Tony Larussa I think he was called
@@jamesrigby8543 a friend of mine works on the boat.
Sig on Jake :"Jake Anderson has the tenancy to fly off the handle" lol now he captain he can chill a bit more.
What amazes me is that a year's supply of crab is all caught in 2-3 weeks. King season is what, 5-6 days and Opie is maybe 7-10? I'm not sure of the precise lengths but it's two pretty short seasons.
That's how it used to be in derby days. Much longer now as each boat has a quota...
I miss Cpt Sean and the Brenna A Crew

R.I.P Nick.
The only thing I dont like about Bill is he's got a subtle higher than thou attitude and I never see him doing anything he asks his crew to do. I knows hes the captain but I see other captains going on deck from time to time to keep moral up but you wont ever find bill working on the deck for fun.
No Mike Rowe as narrator anymore?
He’s the narrator for us and Canada. This is discovery uk.
Dude should put some ice on his nose 🤣

I wonder how many crab meals the guys have on a fishing trip ?
Jake aged 80 yrs in a decade
Damn crazy that 2 of these guys have died.

You’d think these guys would wear helmets, elbow pads and knee pads for the amount of falling and bumping into things that they do.
That is one hell of a pay day!
Awesome content!!! Give it privileges'!!!!
my dad is on the show david felten
Is this the most filled pots of any boat in the series
Rip Tony
Here's a idea use pressure washers instead of hammers to get the ice off the boat
It's fkn minus out there thicko! Let's apply more water to the ice when it's minus outside in the hope that it clears the ice? My mind is baffled by that comment? Does your mum still have to dress you in the morning and remind you to breathe?
So I assume they a source of wifi or satellite service available at all times?
