Another tip is to make the wing more straight and not going up as much, this makes your eye look way longer/bigger

greg masacr no problem, I wore eyeliner daily for 4 years and without it I felt insecure because it literally makes such a different compared to an eyeliner wing going up at an angle
Omg I just tried this & it really helped. I’m new to makeup & have weird hooded and downturned eyes, so eyeliner always looks awkward on me. I always try to follow the upward curve of my lower lid, but this time I went straight out & it worked. Thanks so much 💕
Yeah, this method is the only thing that works for me. Bringing the wing straight out has a more sweet than a sassy look and can't be made as big as upward wings (unless you want to look like you're channeling Cleopatra lol), but I don't have much of a choice. My crease is so close to the lashline that it looks like I have a monolid when I'm looking straight ahead, especially because of my epicanthal fold. If anyone reading this has the same issue, definitely give it a try.
Ran i actually see it completely opposite, if you have small/round eyes then the straight wing looks way more flirty and sufistocated and the wing going up just gives you tiny doll eyes. And also I found it very possible to make the wing big/long so it can look very dramatic

That can be a dieting problem. Having a bad diet or missing pieces in your diet can cause shakiness, poor blood flow, and random twitching. Try changing your diet a bit or drinking more water if you don’t drink enough, etc. I used to have this same problem and since starting Esthetician school and learning about this stuff, it’s really opened my eyes to how much my daily routine contributes to my body’s performance

YES! Omg, like move bish. Bcz of my hooded eyes and lashes that get in the way, I've given up eyeliner
i stryggled a lot too, but then I started to curl my lashes downwards to get them out of the way! I hold the curler upside down and press down, tilting it further downwards, and my lashes end up sticking out straight rather than curling up and getting in the way. and then I just curl them back up when I'm done with the makeup. I hope this is a little helpful to anyone struggling

I have oriental eyes and have watched so many videos on applying winged eyeliner to hooded eyes but just couldn’t understand what I was doing wrong but this video was brilliant and demonstrated what exactly are hooded eyes and shows you exactly what happens when you apply liner the normal of looking down. Looking straight ahead was a great tip and where to apply liner was brilliant. It finally makes sense! At the age of 52 i now know how to achieve the winged look I want, after watching this video. This is by far the best video on hooded eye eyeliners but sadly with my extremely hooded eyes there's still not enough lid space to even do a super thin line on my upper lid. It's almost like I have monolids but I'm fully european. So frustrating :(

I have tried everything to do a wing-stencils, tape, free form etc but it just would look like a line or smudge and look ridiculous. What does one do when they have extra hooded eyes? Like my eyes are more hooded than yours and it kinds droops down...
I think you can draw the eyeliner on top of the hooded part if you look straight ahead while doing it. It might look weird when you look down, but that's just part of having hooded eyes ;-;

my go to look is actually a thin line, which starts at the outer part of my eye. It basically looks like an extended downward lash line and I get a lot of compliments for my eyeliner!
Try tightlining with a dark eyeshadow in the upper waterline that and alot of mascara usually is enough for me

Try Korean or japanese brand eyelashes! As someone who legit doesn't have eyelids with how hooded my eyes are, they r legit a godsend! Same goes with eyelash curlers as well xx
Eye lashes that are shorter in the inner corner than the outer. And cut maybe the outer corner because the fold lets less space

My fold line goes past the corner of my eye :( They’re so bad, you can’t see any eyelid below the fold when my eyes are open.

I got it !! Finally !!! My eyes are extremely hooded to the point where my fold goes a little pass my eye if that makes sense . I today decided to look straight ahead , with my eyes open of course and drew right through that fold , and I got it !!!! For so many yrs I have gone without wearing wings because they looked horrible. I need to work a little more at it , but it frigging worked . Thank you sooo much .
