    My big thing with build making is I know all the shortcuts to jump up to Altus super quick. But I also know entering Altus causes a lot of triggers to get fired for various NPCs, and I don't want to miss the quests for weapons, armors, talismans, or gestures.

      My drama everytime!

    • @LedzQQ
      @LedzQQ Год назад +14

      I go to altus early everytime, I didn't notice anything that's actually missable. Early encounters with Blaidd and Alexander give common items anyway. Their quests still progress all the same. The priest guy leaves the hold but warns you before doing so, he won't leave until you talk to him. The only downside like someone mentioned is the red hot whetblade which requires you to kill radahn once the festival is open.

    • @joeyjones9041
      @joeyjones9041 Год назад +5

      Yeah killing Margit and Godrick also triggers several things so I always advance the NPC quests before I move to the next area just to be safe. Once you can advance the NPCs in Liurnia then you're pretty much free other than triggering the Radahn Festival, which isn't a huge deal, the only thing that you'll have to wait for is the Red Hot Whetblade, then there's the Ruins Greatsword and Flamberge, but it's really not a huge deal unless you need that Wherblade for your build. You can just clear out Castle Redmane after defeating Radahn. To me it's worth triggering the festival going up to Altus Plateau and Mt. Gelmir so I can get all those Golden Seeds, Sacred Tears, Weapons, Ashes of War, Merchants, and Smithing Stones, etc. Max Flasks at +10 and a more upgraded weapon is better than that whetblade at first unless you're a Faith Build then you might want to consider clearing Redmane Castle before resting in Altus, you can go there without triggering anything, you just can't rest at a grace.

    Great video. I'm a veteran and there's good advice in here that people who make "OP PVP Build" videos never touch on. The little stuff like having the regen gear, crafting, and the rare crafting mats.
    I have some other tips for making a new invader build as well.
    Saint touched on it, but going everywhere possible is best because of how the invasion range works. You can only step foot in an area and then be able to invade there.
    Grab all the Larval Tears. There's a lot in the eternal cities, particularly nokstella. If you're going through the area, might as well get them. Never know when you might want to change your build.
    Besides just doing the Volcano manor questline, do Patches' one as well. Bull goat armor is ugly, but it is good and it's not one to miss out on.
    Consumables are your friend. I'd recommend every invader at least have throwing daggers on your item bar. I sometimes use throwing and fan daggers. Throwing is better to finish off at medium to long range, and fan is pretty good close up if all daggers hit. Volcano pots are quite underrated. They're cheap, they do area denial, and you can carry 20.
    Saint mentioned the ballista and jar cannon, but I want to say that some type of long range weapon is ideal. Cannon/ballista is best, but greatbows aren't bad either. Something you can use to harass and potentially knock people off ledges.
    I do recommend Carian Retaliation over Golden Parry. The ability to make people pause as they get hit, or force them to roll from the retaliation daggers is very nice. Unless you're a parry god and then Golden Parry is better, though it uses FP each time you press L2 unlike Carian Retaliation.

    Great video, two small notes:
    1. Finishing Sellen’s QL is always a good idea. If you’re an INT build, there’s some spells, but if you’re any other build, you can side with the other NPC and get an additional ancient dragon smithing stone. Since they’re finite, it’s a decent idea for any builds that aren’t muling.
    2. As far as I know, unless you’re the sentimental type or are doing so for RP reasons, it’s always a good idea to murder the vendors. Collecting their bell bearings makes purchasing vital invasion supplies much easier, as you don’t have to travel from location to location (For explosive bolts for instance, you no longer have to scale two massive ladders to retrieve them).
    Good stuff as always!

    Edit: For players looking for a quick way to reach higher levels, a talisman to aid in the leveling process is the Gold Scarab, found in the cave between the Caelid ravine, the boss is duo scarlet knights, easy to beat one on one, just focus one at a time like you would an overleveled phantom then his host. Grab a Gold Pickeled Fowl Foot behind the First Step catacomb down on the shore (There will be a spirit spring so use Torrent) Then go beat the other bosses or farm the fat dragon mama(use bleed) and Nightrider cheese, easy runes, easy game.

    For invaders looking to invade all areas when searching far with the invasion item:
    The way you add an area to your list of areas that character can invade is by revealing the fog on the map, which is not the same as revealing the map through items you pick up.
    So essentially you have to actually travel to each site of grace you want to be able to invade at, simply having all the map items will not do it.
    There is however a script you can use in cheat engine, thanks to The Grand Archives (just search for Elden Ring TGA cheat table), which simply adds all the areas you want with one click, and even disables the ones you don't want to invade, like just before boss fogs, dungeons, or open world.

      @drago2210 Год назад +5

      Basically you have to see the name of the area pop up on screen, but in the open world and legacy dungeons too, there can be more than 1 multiplayer area divisions per named area, so it's best to visit each grace in the place you want to invade.

Go to the "Third Church of Marika" get the "Physick", take the teleporter to Caelid. Down in Siofra River you can get two of the Ghost Glovewort 1 through 3 then one tier 4 and one tier 5. I typically save the 1-5 for when I get Mimic Tear during the Ranni Quest in Nokron. The other 1-3 I'll usually upgrade Banished Knight Engvall since he's easiest to get and a +3 Engvall will tide you over until you get to Mimic Tear. At the very least I'll save the 4 and 5 for Mimic because you won't come across anymore for quite a while. If you don't like Engvall then Banished Knight Oleg is a great alternative, he's just a bit harder to obtain in the Fringefolk Hero's Grave where you start the game. I was surprised to see that you did not tell people to kill every vendor at first meeting. Their bell bearings can then be delivered to the maiden husks in roundtable hold. One stop shopping instead of trying to remember what each merchant has for sale. Saves quite a bit of time in the end.

    Now can you please make a video about poise and hyper armor? I seriously don't get it. Someone can be naked with any weapon and I lose trades with scythe with gs. I had mad poise with godslayer and couldn't trade with a gs with poise. Then encounter is and have poise and a gs with good hyper armor and I lose the trades and the other dude had no poise. And it feels like no matter what I lose trades. Is it a latency thing? I can't figure it out and it passes me off lol so if you can drop some knowledge I'd appreciate it!

      Not specifically about poise/hyper armour, but basically the poise damage of one or two r1's while two-handing any weapon is enough to stagger unless you really stack it-bullgoat talisman with heavy armour. ruclips.net/video/bFo_XqsTlMg/видео.html
      As for hyper-armour, I think 2-handed r2's particularly on ultras boost poise where the r1 doesn't... though, actually, anecdotal: i have experienced follow up r1's with an ultra having added poise, even when one-handing... and that's any follow-up; an L1 offhand spear→troll sword R1 let me tank a one-handed R1 from a curved greatsword, for reference I was wearing... perfumer armour, with chainmail greaves, really flimsy shit. I think it might've occurred with other weapons too. this could all be in my head, or some latency thing, so please take with a rock of salt.
      This video is also good/more in depth:

    Probably the worst video you have done yet. "Come out, fight Sentinel" lol. 3200 runes.
    You want the best start for invasion builds, first thing you do is get as many Golden Seeds and upgrades for it as possible. The Sacred Blade Ash of War early is also great.
    You can literally get ten Estus flasks/Cerulean Tears and a +7 or +8 flask before you fight a single boss.
    There is also the early bleed dragon near Fort Faroth, and using a Gold Foot right after you kill it. Use a bleed weapon, Morning Star or Flail that you should have already along with the early talisman you pick up in Fort Faroth.
    You are literally Rune Level 33 without killing a single boss. After you defeat this boss get 15 Faith and 12 Arcane for using Rotten Breath AKA easy mode for most of the game. Leave about 27K after leveling to go to various merchants that you met along the way, including two in Weeping Penninsula and buy a Lantern from one of them. Trust me.
    The Limgrave to Caelid transport chests/waygates are also helpful. One is just down the stairs in Dragon Burnt Ruins just east of The First Step grace. The other is just north in a watery area of where you will want to go for the Physick flask.
    Bro, terrible start to the video.
