My god, the patience at 5:38! STR/INT gets all the most fun toys (honorable mention to the DEX/INT ritual spear and poker). And man, yeah, I really wish it was easier to go full necromancer because it's so cool in theory, but if you want to use death sorceries as well as have good melee, it all ends up so frustratingly multi-ability dependent for pretty little actual reward. I've got a L80 skeleton build with Rosus' Axe that I love but I've never been able to fit actual death sorcery on it without compromising its effectiveness at the things most fun about it.
I've felt this since release, that since the golden order incantations are int/faith, that the holy infusion should have also been int/faith like dark was in DS3. Then make a second type of lightning infusion that scales as just faith like flame art for fire (call it something like dragon cult lightning or something like that), and bam. Perfect.
Maybe make a new infusion for DLC. Golden Infusion, adding holy damage with FTH/INT scaling (as well as bonus damage to undead) and dead scaling, INT/FTH with magic damage that also adds a freeze build up to your weapon like frost.

Honestly it's great that you didn't get to it until now. It was kinda miserable using it prepatch. The damage and frost buildup just wasn't worth it compared to using a cold claymore/knight's greatsword. And the weaponart slash had no hitbox back then too. AND bastard sword r2 sweep was slower prepatch. All of the patches have made it much more fun, although I still feel it's missing something. I don't know the lore implications, but you're right the ghostflame stuff should all be unified for either int/fth or just int. It's quite bizarre when weapons and spells that have the same theme end up with opposite fth and int requirements. Also also, damn check out the build variety. Good call on the rl80 or so invasions. I'm somber 6. Way way less one shot bullshit, seems to be better. So I have a similar to this at 89. Gonna make a couple more 80 or so. 80-90 is my go to on dsr and ds3 idk why i thought 125 would be better. 125 dsr SUCKS lol. Thanks and good call!
the int+fth rant is true with golden order spells as well. you cant make the golden order greatsword work with the golden order seal and spells. very unfortunate
2:05 WHY? Why are there so many fat-rolling Radahn cosplayers at 70-90?! I’ve invaded *multiple,* and one time both the host and his summon were fat-rolling Radahn cosplayers!
I also have a int faith I'm working on. That'll be 150 plus. My song of ice and fire build lol. Magma sorcs frost weapons death spells l. I like power standing one frost one fire. Also sword on knight and flame. It's a cool build but Stat heavy needs to be higher rl
The only thing Alexander/warrior Shard does for ruinous ghostflame is that the swing does more damage (unless there's some really elaborate bug). Buffs like this as a rule are never infuenced by any gear or stats, which is a shame TBH. AFAIK there isn't a single buff WA or spell like this in the game that is actually worth it, despite my tries.
With there being lacking Int-faith weapons and spells along with lacking true quality (80 dex, 80 strength) weapons, I think the DLC will provide tools for these deprived builds. It would make sense, since if you need 80 in two offensive stats, that is a level 200 build, which would be more than enough to go into the DLC. Just my thoughts on why lack certain tools for ultra high rune level builds
@@Mohobofo in a 150 meta, quality builds are far over shadowed by pure dex or strength. At least according to Chrightt, an Elden ring math channel/guy. To add some weapons that do comparable or better damage at both 40, 40 and 80, 80 would be an additional I think the DLC's might bring
@@drakejohnson5386 well it depends on what build you're going for. There are certain weap9ns that are quality scaling. Where basically going over like 30 I think in any one Stat is worthless.....but those are specific weapons

Just made my own Deathrite Herald build and I love the theme and lore of Deathrite and Ghostflame. Only thing that disappoints me is that the spells require intelligence and faith when the weapons need just int. So annoying
The sleep swords are so easy to get, of course 2 of them one was prolly dropped but getting the death poker is harder than the sleep sword at 80 :( i love sleep and frenzy so I have to defend it lol
See, while I agree that the lack of Int/Faith weapons is a bit strange, especially since the marriage of int and faith is a *MAJOR PLOT POINT* in the game, I *don't* think it'd be good to give random weapons int/faith requirements that amount to nothing, besides *LORE POIIIIINTS* They did that with Artorias' swords in dark souls 1, 2, and 3, where this huge fucking greatsword required a decent amount of strength, a decent amount of dex *AND* an inordinant amount of faith and intelligence *JUST* because the weapon was a "holy" and "enchanted" weapon in the lore. They didn't really *DO* anything for the sword. They did it with the Black Knight weapons in dark souls 2 as well. For SOME reason, they have a faith requirement. Which like... ok, sure, the black knights were soldiers of Gwyn, they were probs pretty pious... but the int and faith scaling didn't do anything for it, but required you to dump points into it, just so that way the weapon was dealing its full damage. I don't think just adding stat requirements randomly to something, just because, makes it feel like it belongs to a build. Does the fact the black knight shit in DS2 having faith mean they belong on a faith build? Not really, you wouldn't call it a "faith" weapon, because unlike, say the Thorned Greatsword, the black knight greatsword as an int requirement. You might instead call it a "Dark" weapon, since by giving it dark scaling, you make it benefit from investing in BOTH int and faith, something the weapon REQUIRES for its basic function. I wouldn't mind the death bird stuff being int/faith tools, since their spells are the same way. It makes sense. But, don't just be like "Ok yeah, the poker? That's goooonnna neeeed... 33 int/faith now? It's got uhhhh.... E scaling in those now too, I guess. It's whatever, point is, you now need 120+ points across 4 different stats to use this weapon". At that point, you're not making *A* build, you're making Petey Poker, the Poking Purloiner of Punished Pickled Peters Poking Post humorously at Precious Puckered Poopers build. We need less "I use one weapon and that's my gimmick, that's all I use, it's really just one weapon, sometimes, all I do is one tactic too, since that one weapon has the one thing, so thats what I do, im the one thing guy build" builds and more "I utilize my investure of points as a buy-in to have access to a number of tools who's requirements and statistical strengths play into the stat spread I have created for myself, while also finding ways around the limitations this approach to play has afforded me".
Ok, so like, I appreciate what you're going for with your fashion. But the Mausoleum Knights are explicitly a faction aligned with Marika while the Death Birds and their priests were opposed to Marika. It's a bit overplayed but I'd have gone with Royal Remains set. It has 1 less poise than Mausoleum Knight set but is otherwise comparable while featuring a unique effect. More importantly, it references unusual burial practices while suggesting a relation to the power structures which existed before the dominance of the Erdtree. It mirrors the trajectory of the Twin Bird cult even if it's not specifically aligned with them. The alternative would be to dress like some kind of monk or priest. But we don't have any direct fashion aligned with the Death Birds so you're kinda making it up regardless of what you do.
The Mausoleum Knight Armor and Raptor's Black Feathers both state in their item description to be designed to resemble Deathbirds. The Mausoleum Knight's do not serve Marika, they serve the soulless demi-gods housed within the Wandering Mausoleums. Also if their aligned with anyone it would be Miquella, as he was trying to bring about the the Eclipse for the soulless demi-gods.

Dear Mr. Riot,
What are your thoughts on using crimson/opaline bubbletear or really any of the crimson physick tears in honor duels?
excellent work my friend
the int+fth rant is true with golden order spells as well. you cant make the golden order greatsword work with the golden order seal and spells. very unfortunate
Build is missing marionette bird helmet.
I’m not sure if you have, but you should make a build around necromancer garris, use family heads with the death rancor spells and ash of war.
You never need 80 in each Stat lol. You need 40 or maybe 50 in each and it's tapped out. 80 80 is worthless
@@Mohobofo either way, if you want to understand the math behind Elden ring, I highly suggest Chrightt as a channel. He makes a lot of good stuff
What is your weapon upgrade lvl for RL80?
11:14
Lookout for death birds on the ground
lmao I was literally checking the description to maybe see which Sekiro song was playing there and then you started talking about people commenting asking about it
Trying this build now thank you saint ❤️
Did something similar but called it Death Bird Disciple!
I was thinking of trying the spells and stuff at lvl 100, hopefully it comes out right
We may not play exactly the same but it’s pretty similar, i too loathe scarseals
Liked before video started because of build theme/name ❤
I have thought about making a “headless” knight build but using the jar Alexander gives you, if you wanna try that
im gunna be fully honest, i have a character named icopysaintriot and all i do is take your builds and have an absolute blast with them
Just made my own Deathrite Herald build and I love the theme and lore of Deathrite and Ghostflame.
Only thing that disappoints me is that the spells require intelligence and faith when the weapons need just int. So annoying
GRAVETENDER GRAVETENDER GRAVETENDER
LITERALLY ME!
The Royal Remains skull helmet would've been better fashion imo.
Not digging how the blacked-out face looks.
love me death ritual spear
Death rite spear should definitely have frost at least on ash of war
Very very nice build. so clean
Polly want a death poker?
The sleep swords are so easy to get, of course 2 of them one was prolly dropped but getting the death poker is harder than the sleep sword at 80 :( i love sleep and frenzy so I have to defend it lol
What is your weapon level saint??
You should give int faith a good try but higher level. The frost and fire is a lot of fun
See, while I agree that the lack of Int/Faith weapons is a bit strange, especially since the marriage of int and faith is a *MAJOR PLOT POINT* in the game, I *don't* think it'd be good to give random weapons int/faith requirements that amount to nothing, besides *LORE POIIIIINTS*
They did that with Artorias' swords in dark souls 1, 2, and 3, where this huge fucking greatsword required a decent amount of strength, a decent amount of dex *AND* an inordinant amount of faith and intelligence *JUST* because the weapon was a "holy" and "enchanted" weapon in the lore.
Great content as always.
Petition for the DLC to allow players to remove their head.
If it's not to much extra work, you could put the titles of the songs you use in the Closed Captions.
@saint_riot Your call is very important to us. Please continue to hold while we connect you with one of our customer service representatives.
I’m in the middle of making a build incredibly similar to this!
hey saint irrelevant to this video but thanks for streaming signalis the other day its a cool game and i hope some more people play it, maybe Prod or someone idk
