As a big Guy Clark Fan since OLD NO. ONE, I really appreciate this "heads Up". I will be looking for this doc. I hope it streams as that's the only way I'll be able to see it. Thank you.
I love Guy and his songwriting... I also don't think its fair to compare two friends and say one is a better songwriter than the other. Guy wrote songs about his life and the world he knew. Townes wrote songs that were somewhere in between life and death. Townes spoke to the ether. It's something very different, even though they go together really well.
I skew the Guy camp but I love them both. There was something very endearing and heartbreaking about TVZ though, where Guy endured. Together they make far more than the sum of their parts

Would you consider doing a doc on Marty Robbins? How do you cover one of the all-time greatest singer-songwriters, NASCAR driver, Navy WW2 veteran, author, actor, TV show host, DJ. Just talking about how Marty saved a guy's life in a NASCAR race would take a whole documentary. Also, Marty's love for his wife Marizona, and love for his two children, Ronnie and Janet.
I’m struck by the similarities between Guy and Townes in their youth. Both came from middle class or rich families. Both were very smart, but didn’t do real well at school. Both dropped out of university. Neither could settle down in a job , or a career. Both loved, really loved music. Both had families they tried to please. Both were Texans.
Townes was a victim of prejudice against persons with mental health challenges. We all had some of that and these days you can get some treatment and relief. It is amazing with Townes as well as Gram Parsons, Janis Joplin, Lowell George, argh the others! Doctors should have admitted Townes the day before. Are we better for the liberty of action those of us still aswirl in alcohol and whatnot now have to die privately when its just a mood. . .

If you go to the movies how much do you generally spend? I know the cost of a ticket is around $10. Once you add the price of popcorn and drink to that it's around $20. I imagine if Tamara could lower the cost she would. I suspect the reason it's $20 is so she and her husband can help to recoup what it cost to make the movie. The reason it's not out on DVD or streaming platforms is because the cost of doing so is too exorbitant.

My house is not a theater and one time payment for a one time viewing in the crappy house I am forced to rent is not conducive to art appreciation.
