As with all Boss Katana's the Tone Studio really opens it up to a whole new level. Heck, on my Katana 50 Mk II, I can even get my single coiled Telecaster to sound like a humbuckered Les Paul. Thanks for the video, very nice one... well worth a follow and a thumbs up 👍
About your looper issue in case you haven’t figured it out: in Tone Studio you should be able to change your signal chain to move the FX Loop after your third effect. Cheers! Absolutely loving this video and am convinced that I want this amp now

You are one of the person who is damaging me economically young lady! But giving me huge inspiration, desire to practice more and learn new things as almost 33 years old person who is quite new to bass and effects. Thank you a lot and I am so glad that RUclips algorithms recommended you to me :)
I'm 66 now, started torturing the bass a year ago and made the decision for the 210 today after watching you playing last night. Thank you very much for your explanations !! Do you have some further tips for understanding this pedaltechnic and wtf is fx ???? 🌸Saluti🌸
Have you ever thought of forming a space rock Hawkwind influenced band? The way you play bass, with synths and oscillators in the background would sound f***ing awesome!!! 😎👍🏻
CiCI , Good to see your enjoying the Bass Katana.👍I’ve had the smaller one for a few months and love it.👍 I’m still getting used to all the options in this box 👍
Finally found someone who thoroughly demonstrated this amp! I was already sold on it and ordered one last week but not because of the demos of guys thinking that clicking through the different settings while playing their greatest Flea and Geddy licks. Definitely not what this amp was intended for. Thank you.
This video helped me to make the decision to buy one, Thanks Cici! I want to try mine with a Genzler line array 2x10 cabs. I love the effects sound great and they're usable sounds..
Beautiful playing, the versatility re-defines the bass as an wide-range instrument. I imagine a decent electric piano would also sound amazing. Thanks for sharing!
Katana's are great for players like Cici who are very talented and creative with making new sounds. I'm just an old school thumper who likes as few knobs and buttons as I can get away with.
That’s really kind of you to say, thanks so much Michael :) Nothing wrong with that at all! The older I get the more I prefer simple basses above active ones, something I never thought would happen haha!
Best review on RUclips, believe me I've watched them all. You covered it all so well, thankyou Cici! And afterborn was really really special, wow........
Absolutely love love love the playing!! Found you by listening to Dave's stuff and so glad I did. You guys are a powerhouse of talent and your playing is just incredible in it's melodic and sound palette...oh the amp is great too ;) I;m a Katana Artist player.
So glad you've done this in depth review of this amp. I have the guitar verrsion, which is great and Dave rates them highly too. I think I may invest in the 110 version of this amp when the time and cash is right. Thanks for your informative, entertaining review; and great playing as always😃 You're intro and outro are stunningly fabulous taking electric bass to new levels for me 😍
Thank you so much cici I follow on you on tik tok and to see you demo an amp I've just bought and trying to figure out all the settings has been quite daunting thank you so much
Very nice Cici! We should do a colab one day I don’t think the people of this world could handle such beauty tho 😎 I need this cab!!Well done Boss and Cici!!! 🤘
I just have to say that I don't know how many times that I have just gotten lost because I plugged in a random pedal or other piece of gear . It is nice just sometimes ride the wave. Thanks for the sharing!
I own the Katana 50 MKII guitar amp and I seriously want to get the Bass Katana 110 but I'm pretty sure my neighbors wouldn't appreciate it 😂 The Bass Katana might even sound better than the guitar version, thanks for the demo!
Haha brilliant! I’m sure your neighbours will love it, just don’t turn the volume down and you can interpret their gestures and mouthing as wild cheering and compliments! 😂
Love your playing, your creativity with effects and loops and your infectious enthusiasm. Had to subscribe. I'm a long time musician/songwriter/composer recently converted to bass. Looking for my first giggable bass amp. Strongly leaning towards a Katana now I've seen this. X
Thank you so much Mark, it really means the world to hear that! Thanks for your support :) That’s fantastic, hope you enjoy your bass journey, whatever amp you end up going for! Happy to help out to the best of my ability if you ever have any questions about anything bass! I’d love to hear some of your stuff :)

This puppy is definately on my wishlist. I've got a Katana 50 mk2 and I'm happy as a clam with it, so plan on scoring the 210 bass Katana as playin' bass is my main deal now. Just can't decide on upgrading my bass or amp first. (currently using a Peavey MAX112 combo that I traded for an acoustic guitar and a Rogue LX pro six-string

Nice video Queenie, I've been playing Bass for over 35 years , I have only just found out that Boss did a Katana Bass Amp and was surprised when I saw you reviewing one . I have recently started watching Dave's videos and I was delighted when I saw you here,,,, Great video btw and great playing x (P.S I also play Guitar and me and my son BOTH have 50w Katanas, I have the 1 and my son has the 2,,,,cool, great Amps)P.P.S I'ma get me one of those babies 😋
That amp is badass, it would absolutely blow my windows out 😂 love the tones and internal FX but tbh I prefer (cheap) pedals just to play with. I still find it difficult to understand how someone your size copes with playing a full size bass; I’m taller and bigger than you and can manage a Uke bass no problem, a short scale just about ok but a normal size seems to be too big, same with guitars, I prefer a 000 or OM size, electric guitars are fine….. it drives me crazy 😂😂😂 P.s. I just love your solo playing, it just makes me want to play bass more and experiment with it! 💖💕💖
I had to decide between this Katana for £550 & a Warwick Gnome 2x10 (300s cab) & 280w head for £440. Went with the Gnome and it's a tiny monster😁👍 The extra 120w makes a massive difference & seems much lighter. The head fits in my bass case compartment (with plenty of room to spare) and the cab is small enough to carry like a briefcase. Saved £110 & gained almost 2x the power. Disclaimer: I already had an effects pedal.
P.s, if you enjoyed the the outro jam, it’s also available on my Bandcamp here :) (and so is Moth of course!) - cicibass.bandcamp.com/track/afterborn
The tone you had in the very beginning intro sounded so good !
While your outro Afterborn was amazing, your intro speaks to me, may I be able to get a copy from you?
that intro is the most beautiful sound i've ever heard come from a bass!
Wow, thank you so much :) I’m so glad you like it!
I agree. And what a massive, massive tone.
Bloody hell. Dave and you are such soulful players. Your playing on this really moved me. Really really beautiful.
Thank you so so much Richard, it really does mean the world to hear that :)
As with all Boss Katana's the Tone Studio really opens it up to a whole new level. Heck, on my Katana 50 Mk II, I can even get my single coiled Telecaster to sound like a humbuckered Les Paul. Thanks for the video, very nice one... well worth a follow and a thumbs up 👍
I'm experiencing a problem with this video - the intro is so beautiful that it made me go listen to Moth on loop. ;)
Hahaha! You made my day :) Thank you very much!

@CiciBass I'm sure someone has probably pointed this out to you by now, but I think the owner's manual might have the answer you're looking for about the effects loop and FX2. Towards the back of the manual, there's a basic block diagram of how the physical circuit inside the amp is laid out. The effects loop comes well after FX1 and just before FX2. I don't know how that affects what you're experiencing, but I don't think it's a software thing. I think that's where they are physically laid out on the board, so I don't think it can be changed. I'd be happy to be wrong though.
