Potential vid suggestion: Best places to shop in Japan for skincare & haircare (I hardly see anything on Japanese haircare and it looks so good), best times of year to shop i.e biggest sales, limited edition packaging during events etc. and where to go if you only have limited times in Japan for shopping. I obviously don’t want to take away from your holiday so just a suggestion
Cocokara fine drugstore in Japan to buy skin care and many other things😊😊
Hey everyone!
Just a small tip for people don't wanna waste their current cleanser: Mix your cleanser with a gentle moisturizer (I use Johnson's Baby cream or whatever moisturizer I have at hand) and that makes it way less stripping. In this way you can utilize all of your current cleanser rather than throwing it away and buying an entirely new one. I recently moved to CO, USA and this tip has saved me so much money since I already own a huge bottle of Cerave cleanser.
Happy cleansing love you all
😊😊
Great idea!!
Omgg she liked my comment!!
Wouldn't that mess up the formula and make it less effective (and resulting in your rubbing your face even harder thus beating the purpose of a gentler cleanser)? I mean, cleansers' being "less effective" is kind of the point sometimes because they're sooo gentle but those super gentle cleansers are formulated to be that way. Unless it doesn't result in your rubbing your skin harder, I think "weakening" the cleanser is a bad idea.
@@alia_babo You're absolutely right! As for the rubbing part, I did not rub any harder than my usual self (I know I don't rub hard because I have eczema) so I think it must me fine. However, this is just a personal experience which went very well for me. I do recommend asking your dermatologist if you're skeptical about it.
i adore your videos Tina ! :3 you encouraged me to buy some Japanese products and I always love your transparency when doing reviews 🫶🤍
I have combo skin and I love milk cleansers! I actually use them as my cleanser in the morning, I've never tried them as a 1st step cleanser to remove makeup. The Make Prem one is my favorite, but I also like the Dewytree one! I think Round Lab recently released a milk cleanser in the Dokdo lineup, can't wait to try that one too!
To remove makeup do you use cleansing oil ?
Do you use cleansing oil to remove ?
I also started with the Make prem one and then moved on to the Dewytree. They both are very similar but I would suggest getting the dewy tree one since it is cheaper off of amazon. Right now I am trying the nameraka honpo! It has a much thicker consistency!
Completely off topic but I've fallen back in love with Japanese Sunscreens thanks to you ! Using Skin Aqua and Biore Watery Sun Gel . 🙌👏😊🇬🇧
Loving the new setup 🥰 you look gorg girl xx
Thank you for these recos! 🥰
I’m actually using kbeauty milk cleanser from Dewytree and it performed well for my sensitive, dry combo skin while the the harsh Canadian winter. It was not stripping my skin and it’s gentle. I would really like that more companies offered milk cleanser. It is my favorite type of cleanser.
Lol THE BOYZ just became brand ambassadors for rhatvshshshsj
hey just wanted to ask if it removes light makeup and sunscreen well
@@myname-gf7lt I also wear just little makeup like mascara, blush and sometimes cushion foundation (rarely) and of course sunscreen and for me it performed really well. I don’t know if it’s because I double cleanse. Also I used it just in night time routine since in the morning I just use water to cleanse. Right now I’m trying Isntree yam root milk cleanser and for dry or dehydrated skin in winter it’s wonderful.
Thank you for showing some double cleanse options. I have been using the Hado labo double cleanse. forever
Ooh! I didn’t know Nameraka Honpo has a milk cleanser! 😮 So far my favorite is Rosette. It’s sooo good and super creamy! It’s like ¥1600 so a little pricier, but it’s honestly so amazing 🥺
Looooove to see this video!! My first milk cleanser was the Cow brand one too 🥹 really hope we all see more of this type of cleanser in the industry! I would also be very curious to see a video about one-step cleansers (esp the Japanese ones - I know Biore has a new-ish foam cleanser like that?)
Thank you so much for this Video. I noticed a few weeks ago that my breakouts wont go away. I would have never thought that double cleansing with an oil would be the reason, because it is the number one rule in the skincare community. At least it feels like it. I started using an Micellarwater instead. It helped a lot because on a daily Basis I just use SPF. I think the oils and balms were just stripping my Skin. I will Training a milky cleanser instead now and Hope for the best Bit I think I found pur what was causing my Barrier to be so damaged. Thank you so much ❤
Im glad that I discovered Milk cleansers. I have combo skin and milk cleansers are the only type of cleanser that dont make my skin feel dry and thight. Im currently using the isntree yam root milk cleanser and I use it either a first step (in the morning) and as a second step cleanser at the evening.
I am sorry if i sound dumb but as i don't wear any makeup only like toner serum spf... Is it okay if i use milk cleanser as my first Cleanser and then use another water based cleanser for my next cleansing?? I am talking about evening routine..
Hi Tina,
I've always loved milk cleansers. But nowadays oil cleansers and balms seem to be more popular. Maybe that's why it's quite difficult to find a good one. So thank you for this video, I'd really like to try the Japanese milk cleansers!
Love from the Netherlands 💕
Oil balm are used to double cleanse and milk as the actuall cleanser
No makeup woman here. My favorite, after trying out many milk cleansers, is Isntree Yam Root Vegan Milk Cleanser; lovely, midweight, no scent.
I always use milk cleanser for cleansing my face everyday. After that, I use facial foam.
The result is so good for my skin ❤
Hi Tina, I was looking for some cleansing milk to include in my routine and you come up with this video. I have the feeling that cleansing milk Is not as popular in Korea... Thanks for your video, very helpful.
I’m loving the dewytree milk cleanser as my morning cleanser. It’s simple and fragrance free and so gentle on the skin.
I’m also using the Dewytree milk cleanser and it is such a revelation and relief for my dry sensitive skin.
cow brand >>> sana ... i find the sana one too thick, doesn't emulsify well and definitely doesn't remove heavy/waterproof makeup well. although it claims single cleanse only, for me i feel like a there's a bit of a residue left behind so i either wipe off with wet face washer or double cleanse.
a super random alternative i found is actually sweet chef oat milk latte cleanser. loved it!
Milk cleansers are my favourites 🥰
Hi Tina, I’ve been loving the Isntree yam root milk cleanser and Sioris milk cleanser and about to start Dewytree milk cleanser. Milk cleansers are fabulous for my skin - but I can’t shrug off the feeling that I’m just massaging moisturiser into my skin.
Could you pls share which ingredient in milk cleansers are cleansing? Thank you Tina
Thanks for this video. I love the Muji Milk Cleaner but it hasn't been available here (in Manila) for the past 6 months. I tried a few other milk cleansers but I'm not happy with any of them (and I'm mourning the Clarins one that I also love but was discontinued). Now I have many options to try.
wanted to repurchase the make prem milk cleanser this year but then i noticed that the price jumped up by like $10 since i last bought it 😭 i rly do love it though
I really wanted to try milk cleansers since I only use sunscreens when I go out.
queen, you are literally the only person i can trust for skincare recs and tips. do you have a travel skincare routine? i'm going abroad in a week and a half and i'm dreading how awful my skin is going to look after 8 hours of travel, any tips or routines you do before/during/after a long flight?
haha I understand since I feel the same when travelling! I usually do a deeply hydrating routine pre-flight (a sheet mask is a must!) since the biggest thing I encounter is water loss due to the super dry cabin air 🥲 and a hydrating mist would be a good pick me up when needed!
Post flight I'd go for a simple routine - again hydrate and then make sure you wear a good occlusive moisturiser.
But tbh you'll be fine with 8 hours!! I travelled about 40 hrs omw to the States 💀
@@TinaTanakaHarris You’re such a life saver thank you! i just bought the d’alba spray serum you recommended from a video a while back, for a hydration boost. Thank you for all of your knowledge, you’ve helped so so much in my skincare journey! ❤️❤️

おすすめです👍
Would love for you to try the isntree yam root milk cleanser!
Hi Tina! What skin care routine do you recommend? I have a lot of japanese skin products but multiples of each kind. What types would you recommend and in what order? Thank you!
I dont use milk cleanser but am watching just because!!! 😂
Tina, can you please please please do some vlogs of being out and about, sightseeing or shopping when you are in Japan?
you have such very beautiful skin! 😀
Hey Tina! I'm also Melbourne based and currently in Japan! I like using milk cleansers in the morning and I literally opened up your video for recommendations while I was in the middle of a skincare store 😂. Definitely going to try and pick up the Muji and cow brand milk cleaners!
Hi Tina!
Hi,iam a senstive combo skin owner and almost reaching 30 this year, and I just learned that milk cleanser surpsingly more gentle than the oil cleanser, back than i blame those pollution and harsh chemical but then i switch to milk cleanser as a make up remover (and use micellar watrr for extra cleansing)my skin barrirr is happier than ever so yea try milk cleanser if you think the balm and oil is way too stripping or harsh to your skin
I love your channel! So informative! I have to say though, I placed an order with Stylevanna on the 15th, ordered it express, made sure everything said "usually shipped within 24 hours" & they STILL haven't sent it on the 21st. Whereas, I've placed 2 other orders with 2 other sites & they both shipped straight away. Stylevana has also been shocking with customer service. Sending automated emails when I've tried to contact them & a promotional code. Ha! Why would I spend more money with them if it feels like I'm never going to receive my first order? Maybe have a chat to them about customer service? Especially if you're promoting it on your channel.
I am not sure to use milk cleanser bc oil ones are everywhere. So since I have dry and sensitive skin, I am gonna bye caudalie milk cleanser. Thanks for the informative video.
Completely off topic but may I please know what lip gloss you are wearing ?thank you and love your video by the way.💕 ETA:Ooppss.. I found it! It’s in the description😅
I bought the MUJI one while I was in Japan as I hadn’t taken any cleanser! I used it for ages after!
How do you like it? I'll be in Japan next week but can't find any reviews on it.
@@ryannguyen4813 it was okay. Not stand out to me. How I’m back home I would go out of my way to import it or anything. But it was decent enough!
Hello, Tina. Should I wash my neck thoroughly too since I apply toner and cream on my neck at night and apply sunscreen at daytime ?
Gooooood 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I double cleanse at night, I no longer use foam as it dried me out and now only use cleansing milk or gels non foaming.
Omg I’m going to Japan next month! What products do you plan to stock up????
please try the isntree vegan yam root milk cleanser
Can milk cleansers be applied to wet skin as well? I was surprised you didn’t mention it!
Also, if you plan on visiting Kyoto (where I live) I recommend a cafe called Clamp Coffee Sarasa near Nijo Castle! It’s super cute and has amazing coffee. I’d be happy to recommend more places if you want more so let me know!
I use mine on wet skin - the Stratia Velvet Cleansing Milk - and it works great! I’ve never tried it as a first cleanser when wearing makeup though. It does a great job on just sunscreen and other skin care.
The Garnier Milky Micellar Water Cleanser is really nice. Nice and gently cleansing for my sensitive combo skin.
Hi tina...do i have to wash my face with soap and wash then apply cleansing milk after?
Can we use Washing Gel before it? Or just the cleasing milk is enough
Tina! I saw you at the stray kids maniac concert yesterday! I was literally right behind you in the merch line but I was too shy to say hello...
Omg what you should’ve said hi!!! I hope I wasn’t saying/doing anything embarrassing 😅😅 hope you enjoyed the concert too! 💚💜
@@TinaTanakaHarris ahh I really regret it now, but it’s ok! You look so pretty irl and I really liked your eye makeup! Logan is so much taller than I expected though I was so surprised haha
@@nicola0907 haha yes he is a big boy 😅
As someone from Taiwan, this is different from what I heard from Asian doctors. Milk cleanser is regarded as a less oily double cleanse alternative from cleansing oil because it still contains oil, but is less greasy. It's best recommended for those who wants to double cleanse but are having oily skin or prone to acne. I never heard that milk cleanser are more suitable for dry and mature skin. I mean of course they can use them, but it's just not designed for them. Actually anything that's not too stripping/irritating (which is something all cleansers should aim for) can be used for dry/mature skin.
Great video ! I wanted to buy and i remember that you have a video on this and VOILA🎉 i am here 😅
Just a query for thise who dont do make up just apply sunscreen so they can use milK cleanser in PM routine and after wash the face with regular cleanser(foam/gel) right ??
Also Should we use milk cleanser in Am and if yes should we move to toner or do a second cleanse ?
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME❤
I was wondering if SANA soymilk cleansing face could be use with Oil cleanser since it's advertised to remove makeup? (Can it be used without oil cleanser?)
are milk cleansers suitable or beneficial for acne or sensitive prone skin? tia
What do you recommend for super dry skin for winter?
Any recommendations for serums for textured skin?
❤❤
How about the biore skin wipe . Please do give a review about it.
Can you use a gentle cleansing balm and then a milk cleanser? If someone obliviously know
Beautiful content ❤️ dear do some best of makeup, love ur makeup
please do a video about washable sunscreen that comes off with only water cuz i wear sunscreen on my neck Please ?
Could you use a cleansing milk has a the second step of double cleansing?
I just want to post a short fyi, the Cow brand milk cleaner uses coconut derived glycerides so if any of you are sensitive to coconut derived ingredients you should probably try another brand.
Hii, could anyone tell me if milk cleansers helps with black and white heads like oil cleansers do? I use them mainly for that reason...
I'm planning to use a milk cleanser to remove my sunscreen, the Biore uv kids. It's water proof, but It's suposed to be removed only with face wash. Does someone knows if It can be removed only with a milk cleanser?
Can i use milk cleanser in the morning and oil cleanser at night as thr first cleaner ill be using when double cleansing?
Could you try the isntree yam root vegan milk cleanser??
I have been using western milk cleanser for years, every brand in Europe has it, oil and balm cleansers are kind of new-ish.
Does milk cleanser have a good effect or bad effect on acne? And broken skin barriers
hi, I’m from indonesia.. you should try milk cleanser (cucumber) by viva cosmetics.. I’ve been using it for a years for my sensitif skin and it’s really really really cheap.. 🥰 (ps. I’ve trying a lot of cleansing and always comeback) 😮
Did you review Pyunkang Yul essence toner? Sis
Skin care for kids a video plzzzzz
First ever!💗
Lidl in 🇬🇧 do their own milk cleansers
Interesting, need to check out
Just added everything in the cart 😅
I really like the scent from Muji's milk cleanser, but sadly it stings my eyes pretty badly :( The Cow Brand it definitely my all time favorite~
what does warming the cleanser in your hands do?
Where can you buy the cow brand cleansing milk that ships to us ?🥰
If I use Sunscreen only, should I double cleanse after using Milk cleaner?
Do you wash ur face first or just applied it when's dry?
does it help to remove(blackheads,whiteheads).
Has anyone tried using milk cleanser as second cleanse after oil?
Please review the sioris milk cleanser
It’s so good 👍🏼 it’s more like cream than watery lotion. Spread it all over your face, then wet your hands, and with your wet hands massage the sioris milk cleanser. You’ll love it!
Hi Tina!
I was surprised to hear you say that oil cleansers can be rough on the skin.
Matsuyama Hadauru is the Japanese line of skincare that I use & adore, which I really wish you would review. Perhaps you can check it out when you visit Japan? 🙏🏻
They have a Moisturizing Gel cleanser which I have yet to try, but it looks like the consistency is more like a petrolatum type gel than a watery gel. I believe it’s meant to replace an oil or balm cleanser, and I’m now wondering if it would be more gentle than an oil cleanser?
I’ve been using Shu Uemura POREfinist2 oil cleanser which I really love, but I don’t want to be using anything that’s too aggressive or stripping on my “mature” skin.
Thanks so much! 🌸💕
idk but that cow brand milk cleanser broke me out 😭😭😭
Can I use milk cleanser as a second cleanse??
Do milk cleansers still help with cleaning pores and sebaceous filaments like oil cleansers? Or would I need an oil cleanser for this?
oil cleansers will help better with pore cleaning 😏
do you have to wet your face before using milk cleanser?
Hello 😊😊 I tried the sioris milk cleanser and I’ve noticed small bumps breakout all over my face😢 Is it possible that a milk cleanser is breaking me out?
Its quite likely its not just because the product itself is a milk cleanser but maybe the ingredients in it try testing out other products if the current one youre using is breaking you out or causing any irritations toss it
Gawwenasert😳bserr😚
👇
Milk cleamser is water-based cleanser not oil based cleanser. Cant be used to dpuble cleanse and wear off makw up
Some milk cleansers are able to break down makeup. I havent used many but a laroche posay one could break down even my waterproof mascara
Dove milk cleansing made me disappointed 🥲
