I remember being taught how to use rice water by an elderly Japanese woman who had the most pristine, poreless skin in her 80’s. (I was about 15 so it was the 80’s) I have always been known for my soft, glowy skin. (Also sunscreen fiend thanks to this lady.)
Tried to reply but it wouldn’t work. There are heaps of YT vids explaining how. The fermented one is more effective. I will admit that I prefer the ease of essences these days - esp ones with fermented rice, but also peptides and/or ceramides, etc.
It's a great idea to make an one ingredient focused series, especially for traditional Korean&Japanese ingredients. Honey and/or Propolis could be next, also snail would be a great one. Thank you beautiful Tina, so happy to see your channel grow! Much love to Both Logan and you.
I'm glad someone finally mentioned the white cast on the Beauty of Josean sunscreen. Everyone keeps saying that there isn't but when I've worn it under makeup it makes my foundation look whiter. Either people are barely putting any at all or I don't get it. Cause I'm pale and I noticed it.
i agree, i have medium skin tone and i notice a slight white cast but i stop noticing it after while. idk if i just get used to it or it just dries down 🤷🏽♀️
I think it really depends on your skin! For myself, I have lighter skin but also consistently red therefor most sunblock with minor white cast does not affect me since it helps me lighten my redness abit.
I have Indian skin tone and use the BOJ sunscreen, but I don’t see any white case. I always use 2 fingers of sunscreen so it’s not that I use too little. I’m always left with a beautiful glow but no cast.
Yes! Please do videos focusing on heartleaf, ginseng, mugwort and licorice root. I love your presentation and any (or all😂) of these would be so interesting. Thanks for turning me on to the eye cream. I'm ordering it today!✌️💜💚💙
i can’t thank you enough for all the product recommendations you share for dry skin!!! i’ve pretty much built my entire routine based off of your k-beauty & j-beauty faves!!!! also super love using pair acne cream for breakouts & for more stubborn cystic acne that i just want to calm down for a bit. your videos have always been so insightful and are a treat to watch 🫶✨
For real!!! Hatomugi is actually so underrated. I have the naturi skin conditioner which is super gentle and soothing and I feel like it actually minimises the look of my pores. The skin conditioning milk is actually really nice too!
Thanks Tina for the thorough review, your recs always works wonder on my skin! I'v been enjoying any ingredients that have been femented lately, since I have dry skin, I feel like fermented ingredients made my skin really plump, soft and bouncy!
I have never really had like a holy grail skincare product or one that I genuinely noticed a difference in my skin when using, that was until I started using the I'm from rice toner. It makes my skin feel and look so glowy and hydrated, it is one that I will prob not swap any time in the near future.
If you don’t like the twist off cap on the tube products, what I do is when I’m done with a product that has that flip cap, I throw away the empty tube BUT keep that flip cap in case it will fit on another tube. 😉
An ingredient spotlight is so nice ! And about rice, my and my skin's favorite ! I have dry and really sensitive skin and rice is my absolute holy grail ingredient. My skin adores it and I tried being off my rice products during the summer this year and nope ! Never doing that again because my skin truly freaked out. Really enjoyed all the recommendations and can't wait to try them ♥
Perfect timing! I'm so glad I noodled around online and had this come up on my recommended feed as I'm about to place an online skincare order and have been curious about many rice-based products. Only one way to find out if they'll work wonders for me: buy what Tina recommends as great starter products. Thanks again dude. 🌾🍚☺
Personally with skincare I don't pay attention to ingredients besides the stuff thats strongly backed by research (sunscreen filters, vit c, niacinamide, glycerin etc) but,,,, you make anything fun to watch soooo 😂 and I know people do look out for particular ingredients like centella and certain plant extracts so it could be popular!!
I love rice skincare. I have tried rice bran oil for pimples and its awesome. It gets rid of razor bumps in one day max. Also rice bran oil is ao moisturizing.
Thank you for your recommendations, as always! DIY sheet masking has become a major hobby since learning about it from your channel! I wonder if you’ve ever made a rice toner at home just using rice and water? 💙
I love Rice in skincare. I have not used many, but my favourites I have used are the Haru Haru toner and cleanser, I'm from Rice cream and serum, Abib Rice probiotic sleeping mask and the Cosrx Rice sleeping mask. I used the Im from rice toner but it wasn't hydrating enough for my very dry skin. I did enjoy using it though
My skin LOVES the BOJ sunscreen and keana nadeshiko, so it’s gonna take all my willpower not to buy everything rn, but this will be a great reference video!!! 🥰
I prefer black rice over white rice if the meat or other viands are bland or the flavor is light because black rice doesn't overpower the taste of food. However, if the meat or other food has strong flavors, I prefer white rice because white rice makes the taste of other food less intense.
I'm glad that I watched this video bc my current favourite toner (Isntree Green Tea Fresh Toner) hasn't been working out for me recently. my skin, particularly around my eyes, have been irritated bc of hayfever so the green tea toner just stings whenever I use it. and I'm really lazy so I just want a toner that I can use all year round lol. honestly, I've never been that interested in the Haruharu toner but now I definitely am. this was very enlightening, thank you!
Great video Tina, always love your insight. My favorite ingredient for sensitive and damaged skind is snail mucin and vitamin c, which is why I love the unik snail mucin repair creme and a bunch of the melano cc products. Would love you go in depth on a bunch of melano cc products. Not snail mucin cuz I know you recently had a reaction to it.
Good question. I think it is a dream of mine to find a toner that contains rice and ceramides with Santella. This is a dream of mine. I love you Tina. I follow you from 🇮🇶♥️
I have the Haruharu toner and am excited to use it. Also have the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen - it's really good. I have oily and sensitive, acne-prone skin and I found that the I'm From Rice Toner was a bit too heavy or tacky for me. It just sort of sat there and didn't absorb. Definitely something for drier types, I think. Also I really want to try the wash off Keanu Nadeshiko rice mask rather than the sheet masks. It's hard to find a good mask for oily skin that isn't loaded with clay, which is too stripping and sensitizing for my skin.
Yaasss Girl thank you so much for making this video about rice skincare products I personally have always gone with products that included rice in it only because it’s more suitable and gentle on my skin 🥹 but seeing so many rice products I never know which to stick with 😂
I'm so excited you made a new video! I absolutely love watching your RUclips videos! You are the most amazing person and have so much knowledge about so many products! I love watching you! Please make more videos as I've been watching your old videos, which I have watched before, lol! Please make more videos as I go through withdrawals from not seeing new videos! Your biggest fan!
Hi, Tina! Thank you for your videos, discovered your channel after EuniUnni's one. I love videos about skincare ingredients, cuz I'm such a skincare enthusiast. Please continue making also these types of videos. As for rice skincare products from your videos I've tried almost all of them, recently bought House of Dohwa and Goodal. Really enjoyed them❤
I love the rice product. I also like to try the Sake ingredients similar to the very expensive SK2. Although for the japanese products, sometimes the Sake based products have this certain smell. lol. BUT it does wonders on my skin.
Thank you for this video! I really love this type of video where you're focusing on one key ingredient! I've been a rice fan myself ever since I discovered Neogen's rice ferment essence, not to mention the beauty of joseon's sunscreen 🥰 I'm really curious about the I'm from rice toner, I'll definitely be on the lookout for that one. Thanks and love your videos!
Yes, would love specific ingredient videos! I am on a hunt for a 5 or 6% niacinamide product so niacinamide would be a really lovely ingredient for a video!! Lots of love!
I'm still waiting for a company to develop an eye cream combining retinol + vit K2 + caffeine + some king of moisturizing and soothing ingredient like cica and vit B5
Yessss i love rice skincare! All but maybe 2 of my skincare products in my 8 step skincare routine have rice in the ingredients and eversince i noticed a huge difference. I use the brand the face shop their priducts are very affordable and ive seen a huge difference. My skin type is dry to normal leaning dry. Eversince using rice its more moistured and my skin tone is much more even.
yes to rice! it's an essential ❤ btw tina i was wondering if you could give an update on the ipsa tome reset aqua essence? do you like it or nah? i would love to see an updated review
Mine would be sk-ii, been using it for years. Sometimes i would try to change other products but i would go back to it. Gonna try I'm from rice toner to see how it goes 😊😊
Can you do some skin brightening videos, in the Sense that i spent too much time in the sun for several months ,which made my face just full of melanin and gave it a dull skintone , thanks
Great video....I have a question, How do you think the KIKUMASAMUNE SAKE SKINCARE LOTION compares to the I'm From and Haru-Haru toners?...I'm tempted by it's use of sake which I haven't seen in other products. You had said you prefer the bright version of this...Thanks!
Do you know of any hydrating Japanese beauty hair care products that won’t weigh down fine, frizzy hair? Are all hair care products in Japan made for coarser, straight hair?
Am I the only one who’s eyes BURNN SO BAD with the haru haru cleansing oil?? It’s a lovely oil cleanser but omg even if I don’t put it around my eyes it burns so bad even after the second cleanse !
Muy interesante. Dudo mucho si comprarme el tonico de arroz de I'm From o el de Galactomyces de Cosrx para iluminar la piel e iluminar manchas. Qué opinas? Muchas gracias
Ughh Now im confused between Haruharu black rice toner Vs I'm From rice toner 😂😂. I want the benefits of brightening, reduce fine lines and hydration.. Can anyone recommend me which is better My skin is combination and im 33

Ooh yes do propolis! Rice and propolis are my fave!
Yes I’ve been trying to find a good version of the cosrx in Japan. Or any type of snail mucin product ❤

@@tarinisinghania6824how many times you use in a day. Mention Timings... And 2 fingers, may be you have to restock every week🥺🥺🥺
The I’m From Rice Toner was my gateway toner 😂. It single-handedly turned me on to the toners and essences category.
Yes! Please do videos focusing on heartleaf, ginseng, mugwort and licorice root. I love your presentation and any (or all😂) of these would be so interesting. Thanks for turning me on to the eye cream. I'm ordering it today!✌️💜💚💙

next ingredient highlight: HATOMUGI CUZ IM IN LOVEEE
For real!!! Hatomugi is actually so underrated. I have the naturi skin conditioner which is super gentle and soothing and I feel like it actually minimises the look of my pores. The skin conditioning milk is actually really nice too!
The goodal vegan rice milk toner is my favourite!! It makes my skin silky soft it's amazing (kelly driskoll recommended it)
Does this goes suit all type of skins any idea..?
@@Laila_617 I have combo sensitive skin and one layer is enough for my oily area and 1-3 for my U zone:)
Oh my goodness Tina. Purple is totally your color!!!

I always save flip top lids no matter what product it came from. You never know when you’re gonna need one😊

The sake is more sticky than these are. 👍🏻
What is on your cheeks? Looks so nice and bronzy!
Wouldnt putting rice on your face make your facial hair grow? Because I keep hearing about its benefits for hair growth similar to rosemary oil
Would you choose Rice toner over Numbuzin 3 toner?
honestly - yes, I've just finished another rice toner last night haha
Hi Tina, I am wondering if you ever used Lagom sunscreen..maybe i wanna hear what you think of it. thank u
Do you use the moisturizing toner before or after your Vitamin C serum, which is also very liquidity?
3:28 The disgusted face that she made when she said walnut shells lol
P.S Love your content :)
Can anyone tell me which one is better for brightening, anti aging etc Numbuzin no 3 toner Or IM FROM rice toner??

I can't decide what to buy between I'm from rice toner or haruharu wonder black rice 😅

What is your opinion about the haru haru eye cream ? Does it help with the dark circles?
