- Foodi AIR FRIED CHICKEN Breaded VS NAKED Do you have to put flour on chicken when you air fry it? You can air fry chicken with flour or you can air fry chicken naked. It's really up to you. I try it both ways to see the difference. Which would you prefer?

i do mine the same way with the flour. doesn't need the egg or other liquid. flour and let it sit a few minutes the flour will stick really well. made some skinless, boneless thighs today from frozen. tossed in some flour, let it sit a bit then sprayed. preheated for about 10 minutes at 400 while i got the chicken and stuff ready. AC for 20-25 minutes in AC basket, didn't turn. perfect chicken.
Thanks for comparing the chicken. I did the same and followed your video. I was really going to send my Ninja Foodi back until I saw this video. Some of the other recipes I followed and burned my food. You had correct timing and a great description.
Hi Kaye. I'm so happy to hear that my video was helpful! Thank you so much for watching!
Just used my air fryer for the first time , I was scared! Thanks to your help I think I got I now❤️
Wonderful! Glad I could help
To get better results with breaded chicken add into your flour corn starch and dip your chicken into an egg wash! Guaranteed better results!
Tampabruh so steps are:
1) coat chicken with flour / cornstarch mix
2) dip into egg wash
3) ? I normally do another coat of flour or panko. What’s your preference?
4) spray with oil
5) air fry!
How much corn starch do you add to what amount of flour? I just got my ninja foodie and would like to use your method. Thanks so much.
2 parts flour and 1 parts corn starch!
Thank you very much for taking your time to experiment on this for us. I enjoyed this video and I enjoyed you very much. You seem like a thoroughly delightful person. We need more people like you in this world. I look forward to watching all of your videos. I am cooking both of these today. The breaded for me and the unbreaded for my wife.
Girl, you got it "goin on," I am so glad I found you this morning, and you definitely know what you are doing. Thank you for making videos that take all the mystery out of using the AirFryer. This is the second of your videos I have watched
this morning, and from now on you are my "go to" cook. Whoopee!
I just bought the Ninja 🥷 Foodie 6 in 1 2 dual zone air fryer. This thing rocks! The quality is apparent and it’s very quiet than what I’m used to. Plus, it doesn’t get as hot as other ones I’ve used, and tried. Check it.
Have you tried a seasoned flour called Kentucky Kernel? This seasoned flour is worth trying. I use milk to soak my chicken for a little bit, then toss each piece of chicken into this flour, then set it to cook. After I consider it done to my liking, I baste the some chicken with some bbq sauce and some with I leave without. This Kentucky Kernel is it!!!! Try it, I’m sure you’ll like it.
Your a life saver! So happy I came across your channel....I tried my chicken on my Ninja and it came out soooo good!!!! Thank you so much!!! It was so good that I had to subscribe to your channel! Thanks again!
Thank you for this!! I’m doing fried chicken tonight and have been searching for a tutorial with my Foodi and VOILA here you were 😂 ✌️💕🥰🙌🇨🇦
Gave a like just for the "sweeties" I haven't heard that in a while
tbh, wasnt coming for chicken drumsticks was coming for chicken breasts, but this helped none the less and it was really pleasant to listen to. So thanks for this vid
I heard that crunch on both. Yum! Girl, you rock!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! There's nothing quite like that fried chicken CRUNCH! Thanks for watching
You are officially my favorite Foodi! I love it. Thank you.
Thank you! You're the best; I can't wait for your next video!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate your support!
Thanks for the video. Been looking for straight forward recipes without the sauces and spices, yours was perfect. My Ninja comes tomorrow so hopefully will be testing.
FANTASTIC! I know you're going to make lots of delicious dishes in that Ninja Foodi! Thanks for watching!
Thank you. I was going to bread my chicken today in oil pan and now I can just use my airfryer
Hi i love your videos. For fried chicken which do you prefer, the ninja foodi grill or multi cooker? Thanks
Thank you so much for doing a side by side!
I just made fry chiken it came out delicious crispy and juice it my first time using the ninja foodie thanks for you recepie
AWESOME! I'm so glad to hear this. Thanks so much for watching
I’m trying to figure out my air fryer (recipes/cooking comparisons etc...). I appreciate the video, anytime you can cook with less oil and still have it turn out great is a good thing.
Thx for your help, just got my ninja foodi for Christmas and only made rice so far.....thx for the tip, I will use flour.
I am so glad you found the video helpful! Thank you so much for watching
Thank you for doing both at the same time. I'd really like the spice recipe you talked about. This is the first video I watched because I just got my Ninja Foodi, and I just subscribed.
How does someone give you a thumbs down, you and this video was great!
Were great lol typo
I don't let trolls get me down! I can only do my best and keep it moving. Thank you for your kind words and thank you for watching!
I sure am gonna buy me a Ninja XL fryer thing
Exactly! She is such a good teacher / Chef
Thanks. I was toying with the temp for a while (between 350 and 390). Now I know what temp and how long to air fry my chicken.
needed this. making them tonight on our new device. fun.
thanks!
FANTASTIC! Glad to help!
Thank you for this video :). I was looking to see how I would air fry my chicken legs in the Ninja Foodi cooker I just got for Christmas and seems very simple :). Thank you!
Looked good. What happens if you dont spray them with the oil?
I like how you cook in the Ninja...also you are on point when it comes to the meat being cooked properly...Thanks!
I think it helps to prick your meats with a fork or knife so the heat sears through it as well.
Luvin my misto! Thanks for the rec! This is my “got to” recipe for drums ✅
I'm so happy to hear that! I'm so glad you found the video helpful. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for sharing, I got the Ninja foodie for Xmas and been wanting to make fried chicken. I think I'll do the flour since I want more of fried crunchy taste.
Thanks for this video! I love the way you presented the food and had clear instructions! 😊😊
Careful girl I see the steam comingm from both tests of chicken. It all works for me. Nice job!
Thank you. I’m frying chicken legs for dinner. I wonder if a can first dip my chicken in an egg batter then flour?
Ty for this video. Im trying the non flour version this evening
First time using foodi and the chicken in Boston. Thank you!
Thank you. I just got a Ninja and was looking for a easy recipe and time to cook it.
Thank you sweet I'm sold with the batter up. And from what people tell me it's so much better for you?
I'm not on a diet although some people may say I should be, I myself like the ones with the flour. I would love to see a recipe where you dredge the drumsticks in egg then the flour . That's the best way I know to make real Fried chicken 😊. Thank you for your video. I just got the Ninja Foodi pro and I'm looking for some good recipes. 👍🏻
You probably got this question before, but would Pam be an alternative to oiling the chicken?
I don't see why not
No Pan is only used to coat the pan not the chicken the chicken has to be coated with oil
New sub thanks for the video it was clear and precise. I just got my foodie this week looking for ideas. Have you cooked pork chops in the foodie?
wooooo yaaassss baby you and John sold me on the foodie ! I'm not even getting the crisp lid, my instant post will be the resident rice cooker from now on 😂
I have a question, I tried frying chicken legs and thighs in the Ninja Foodi, well... the chicken stuck to the pan and the coating came off. I even sprayed the pan first. Any suggestions what I am doing wrong?? Could it be I had it too hot?? I used 400 degrees like you did but not the turn out I wanted. I am open any suggestions. Thank you -Deb
Hi Debbie. You may have too much flour on the chicken. I find that less coating is better in the air fryer so be sure to shake off any excess. Try an air fryer liner as well. They do a good job of keeping food from sticking and make clean up much easier. Here's a link on Amazon so you can check them out amzn.to/2LswOk7
Thank you for the tutorial! Amazing tips! Will try!
FANTASTIC! Thank you for watching!
How can I make breaded crispy fried chicken breasts in the Ninja Foodi?
Very well made video. You were thorough on instructions.
Hi Jim. I'm so glad you found my video helpful. Thank you so much for watching!
I just found your channel looking for help with my foodi. I am new so all of these tips are helpful. Please let me know if you also do more foodi recipes! Thanks for the info and help!!
Just found your videos, so helpful! Thank you!
FANTASTIC! Thanks so much for watching!
What was the temperature you was shooting for?
How long to reheat in air fryer (for leftovers)?
Depending on the size of the chicken pieces I'd try 4 to 8 minutes at 375⁰
@@sweetsavant Thanks for your reply. Right after commenting I tried microwaving for 30 sec (one medium-sized chicken thigh) then air frying 4 min on each side at 380°. It came out very hot and crispy and not burned. I'll try next time either without microwaving or half that microwave time because inside was quite hot.
Hell im still learning, Just purchased one for Christmas, Love your tips ,,
Great step by step comparison, thanks for the video.
Great video! That seasoned flour chicken looks crispy and delicious. Thanks. I’m gonna try it.
Did this and mine came out great! Thanks!
FANTASTIC! Thanks for the feedback
That chicken sounded good!😂😂🙌👍💃
Thanks! So you don't stress on the preheat? I'm a new foodi. Tried to use some shaken bake on boneless chicken tonight using avacado oil. Preheated and cooked at 390 for about 10 minutes w a flip and another 10 minutes and only one side was sort of crispy. Any idea what I did wrong? I did use A LOT of oil. Should I maybe use less? Also the sprayer I bought shoots a laser, even on "spray mode" so I just bought a Misto to try it out as per your reccy....Also, I love how you put the camera on you when you tried out the food. I've watched some vids where they cook the food but then leave the camera pointed at the food when they chomp in, it doesn't satisfy me! I need to see the cook eat it! Thanks, nice vid!
so do i season the chicken first and then put it in flour? or just put the seasoning in the flour and if so how much?
Life saver just got my foodie and finna make chicken wings didn’t know how to batter them in the foodie thank u
Great video, love how you describe everything! Thank you!
Thanks for showing the difference because I didn’t use flour
You are dah bomb girl!!
All the way from Alberta, Canada! Great recipe for this cold snowy day and my new dual zone Ninja air Fryer! First time watching you! I like your detailed instructions! Can wait to watch more! 😉thank you!
Excited to cook wings tonight. Thanks for the video!
Hello! I'm curious what size your ninja foodi is? I'm looking into getting one but I need to make bigger batches.. :( I wonder if it's worth getting it rather than a straight up air fryer alone.
HI! I have the 6.5 quart Ninja Foodi. Ninja is coming out with a Deluxe Foodi that is larger, 8 quarts. I hope to get my hands on one soon to demonstrate it for you. Stay tuned!
I just received last Tuesday my new 8qt 9 in 1 ninja foodie xl deluxe. I am now watching tutorials to help me get started this evening lol
I've watched all your videos and I'm still having a hard time deciding which one to get. I know u said u were giving one to your son. Which ninja foodi did u keep for yourself?
You don’t explain enough. Do we put any liquid in the bottom. & what is the seasoning
Really enjoyed your video, thank you! I just got the foodi grill so have been looking at recipes. I felt bad for you when you bit into those really hot legs. It can be pretty difficult to maintain and enjoy a bite when the food is so hot. You did it with grace!
I'm wondering if you could add a little panko bread crumbs to the seasoned flour for a little extra crunch. I would also spray any white spots again, if there were any, when I checked and turned the chicken..
I love your video's, well done! I made this and wow did it ever come out crispy and tasty. Thank you so much.
They both look fantastic!
Great video. Thank you for doing this.
What a lovely and helpful video. Thank you so much. I just received my Ninja Foodie today now I'm gonna cook some chicken.
I can see u like food! Good - that means your review is reliable!
Thank you!
It looks like we had the same thing in mind at the same time with the chicken 😊. I liked this comparison video. :) I'm new to using the air fryer since I just recently got mine.
I'm so glad you liked the video. Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for the video. It looks awesome. I love this video.
I could not find the recipe for the chicken, just the seasoned salt. Can I have a link please, recipe looks delicious.
Great video! Thank you!
That chicken is really hot, you can see the steam.....
No Name my chicken burned the first time. Trial and errors here. 😢 Makes awesome fries.
Love your hair😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks so much!
Thank You!! Love your videos!! I have the Ninja smart grill!
Thanks!
No I promise I’m not stalking you Chef Demetria, I’m simply binge watching all your videos lol!
That's fine with me. Binge all you want, I'll make more!😇
Omg fell in love with you in a instant!
Love this! I am making my fried chicken now following your video.
Wonderful thank you!
Thanks so much, Paul. I appreciate your support!
Did you pressure cook your chicken first?
Thank you so very much . This was all I wanted to know 🥰💐🥰
You are such a sweet individual. Thank you for your video, helps me a lot on being a new owner to the Ninja Foodi.
Instead of using flour, I use baking powder and it makes it crunchy without drying it out
Great tip! I have and updated video using baking powder and cornstarch for a very crunchy result. Thanks for watching!
Was it preheat
Yes, I preheated. Thanks for watching
brilliant video when you say Seasond flower what is actually do you mean?
Yay I agree do what you like.
I wonder about a little smoked Paperika on them???
Got me so hungry, thanks.
I'm very happy to hear that, Steve! Thanks so much for watching!

Thanks. You were helpful
I was hoping someone would post with flour. If you are using frozen wings, when would you add the flour?
Hi! That's the tricky part. I havent tried cooking frozen wings with flour. I'll have to do some testing on that. Thank you for your question and thanks for watching!
