    The way I easily clean the diffuser attachment on the bottom is I rub olive oil on it. Just rub olive oil all over it. Then when it's time to clean use soap and water and a soft sponge and it gets it off just fine. I haven't had any problems since I figured out this little hack

    I put water in the pot and boil , place crisper lid on to steam for about 5 minutes ( it just sits not on) then wipe the crisper lid down , use spray bottle with hot water to get residue out.

    if you can't access the fan there is no way of cleaning the foodi properly. the fan will build up with grease creating a balance issue and down the road a bearing problem occurs making it more of a serious issue.

    I use a cheap foam paint brush to clean the crisper lid. It is very pliable and fits in between the grates and under the grate. When it gets yuky, I toss it and use a new one. They come in a pack of 3 or 4 for $1 at the $ store or in the paint dept of your local hardware store. It works great.

    Here is my trick to cleaning the crisper lid. Put 2 cups of water & lemon juice about 3 tablespoons in the pressure steamer.

      I don’t own one yet and I came here to see before I buy one what I would need to know about cleaning it. It seems, however, that by looking at the picture of this one, there are two sets of screws; the one that hold the metal grill in and another set that seems to hold the entire getup to the lid itself. It looks like the first set of screws might just allow you to take off the grill. Without you taking it off, does it look like it would be possible to just remove the grill to allow you to clean it AND the area behind it?

    • @CitizenPerkins
      @CitizenPerkins 5 лет назад +2

      @@ArleenDel -- You're right. I just took a look at mine and there are screws holding the "heat shield" in place, but those look like you need a small Allen wrench (or hex key) to get at them. The screws around the outside are Phillips screws. I've just had mine since Christmas and already see where some grease has spattered into that protected area. If I get time to track down my computer tool kit I may try to see if I can get the heat shield to easily come off. My curiosity would normally make me take the lid apart, but the darn thing is so expensive I don't want to risk breaking it. I guess I'll have to wait for one of these RUclips guys to tear down his first. 😎
