Being in the presence of a massively successful fellow black entertainer hit Patrice hard. He was saying he just wanted the person who had attained success to share “the secret” to success. Patrice’s frustration was palpable… But the reality is there is no “secret”. Success is an elusive combination of talent, hard work, and luck.
