How can someone be allowed to jump past bus op and into a supervisor position?And why does it take a TA chairman in a Ta depot to catch it? In my 16 years as a bus op I have watch this job deteriorate while the union walks around shaking hand and smiling around the depot for votes.Maybe keep the same energy once you get in and things like this won’t slip by.Smh pitiful
There’s another irony about this situation that I want to be very transparent on; In the last couple of rounds of negotiations I have tried to negotiate a promotional pathway for traffic checkers with heavy resistance from the Transit Authority representatives of that department. The Transit support coordinators is the level 1 and level 2 Supervisor to the traffic checkers, which means you had to be a traffic checker to become a supervisor thru in many cases nepotism and favoritism. Let’s talk about traffic checkers being able to promote within the Oa. Open that discussion and stop 🛑 being biased towards these workers.
