"I walked the hallways one last time and didn't know" I started crying right there because the last day of school I left right after school, but if I would've known it was my last I would've stayed longer and said goodbye. But I knew I'd be coming back in a few weeks so it didn't matter... this is such a beautiful song! It really captures what we're all feeling. Thank you!

Yeah. For me I ended up missing a full week of school because of family problems and I was so excited to get back to school that following week, but we got a call that sunday saying the school is closed. I thought it would be closed for a month, not for the rest of the year. I was kind of disappointed to miss my senior year of high school

J.R. Not true at all! Seniors have been working for 12 years in school waiting for this moment. And it was taken away. Many didn’t even get to do the special senior traditions or ceremonies they would usually do. It’s a new chapter, all your friends are separating and going on new paths. So i have to strongly disagree with your statement

As a University graduate of 2020, this song made me very emotional. I feel your pain. I feel all the high school graduate's pain. I know that I was able to walk across the stage of my high school graduation, but I never, in a million years, thought I would graduate university and start my dream career. I made that happen, 12 years after graduating high school, and now I do not get to walk across the stage of my University graduation. It is a very bitter pill to swallow. Congratulations to all the 2020 graduates all over the world. We are a rare group of students. Hopefully, this won't happen again--in our lifetimes at least. We are all very special.

@@perciousmatter7001 For those that go to school for more than education it means the world... you spend 12 years of your life doing something that you dont want to and the people you meet are the o es that influence you as you grow up. All you get at the end is graduation, a celebration saying that you made it. Some people didn't know if they would for whatever reason so when they are standing up on the stage receiving their diploma and get to go sit back down and throw their hat high in the sky and scream THEY MADE IT... some of us have struggled in life and an accomplishment is something huge.. some of us are moving away and won't ever see our friends again... some of us aren't ready to start life without one last huray.

March 13th 2020. The last day I roamed the halls of high school not knowing that it would be the last day. Had I known I wouldn't have rushed to leave quickly. I would've told my friends just how much I cherished them and kept them close a little longer. May 28th 2020. The day I was going to walk across the stage but didn't. Grad was cancelled just a few weeks before and I had cried. Not getting that closure I wanted. I knew exactly how I was going to say goodbye and had it all planned out. Things didn't go that way. 3 years not even, taken away from me. Senior year gone. My dress hanging on my closet door. Untouched, only worn once. Not even tailored to properly fit me, just the way it was since I got it in November. Just sits there occupying space in my closet. I finish in four days. My journey coming to an end. So many say high school is the best 3 (or 4) years of your life. I wouldn't say that as there will be more good to come and don't want that title to be taken. But it was certainly the most memorable 3 years of my life. I miss everyone. All my friends, teachers, and fellow students. We had quite a run you guys. I am fortunate that my school is having a celebration in the new school year during the fall for us. Anyone not getting the closure they wanted, I'm sorry. You all deserved so much better. But a huge congratulations to all my fellow seniors, in High School, or University/College I'm proud of all you've achieved. You did it. We did it.

All in my area have had postponed but in-person graduations, with limited admittance tickets given and health precautions taken, such as spacing protocol set. It takes special caring, dedication, and a willingness to "go the second mile" by school system officials and individual school staff to set something like this up...but at least in Northwest Georgia, we've accomplished this!

Not taking class pictures, school pranks, talking about SATs and college. The last lunch. The last big band shibang. I'm sorry y'all. Just know when everything gets 'normal' y'all get to celebrate the shit out of life. being a senior was long awaited but that last day of school seems so long ago compared to the time we spent in school. Most of us are going to go our separate ways and most likely never see each other again and i cant stand it. I knew the time would come that i would have to say good bye but i didnt know that day had already passed. im going to miss my friends and teachers and the fact that i could be myself and be vulnerable around so many people. we might be the ones that have it the worst right now but this still sucks. it took years to so comfortable with them and it seems like im going back in my shell. i just hope the class after us takes advantage of their time like i didnt. I have so many regrets and things i wanted to do with these people.

As class of 2019 I took for granted so many things. I didn’t go to dances and I was barely convinced to go to graduation. Graduation brought be proper closure and made me really feel like the people around me saw me as an adult. Seeing class of 2020 being deprived of such things is horrible. I hope they all get a good reunion in 5 years that gives them that closure, like a mock graduation.

This really hits. It hit so hard, I started crying. I couldn’t help it.
I worked so hard for my graduation. I worked so hard for that day. Sometimes, I even got no sleep just to ensure that I crossed the finish line. I hoped, and I believed so hard for that day that I’ll celebrate with my peers. And to see that torn away, it just...
It just stings. It hurts a bit. Knowing that the day I’m supposed to remember for my life, that I’m supposed to cherish was torn away hurts. I can’t take it back.
And what hurts the most is I had no control over it. I could only watch as my graduation day broke apart. Nothing I could do.
So, thank you. Thank you for the closure. Up till now, I’ve watched millions of videos congratulating my class. But none of them hit home like yours. That made me realize that the cap and gown wasn’t the main thing to take away from graduating. Graduating comes from yourself and your actions. Sure, we didn’t deserve to graduate this way. But I’m gonna turn this bad memory into a good memory. The closure was in myself, and now I actually feel like I deserve this. That I’m ready to be an adult. Though my graduation wasn’t exactly what I thought it would be, it’s still just as beautiful if not the best. I’m proud.
And you should be too, because you earned it.

I can sympathize with the feeling of loss but here’s the thing. This isn’t the greatest thing that will happen in your life, though it is important. Don’t look back on your past, feel sad and wish for good times again. We have been given the gift of time these past three months, please use whatever time you have to focus on self improvement. Drag your dreams into reality and make your future greater than anything you could even dream of.

My whole life I was an outcast but then when I moved my whole life changed and all I ever wanted was to spend these last few months with the people that have given me more love and kindness then the amount I had gotten in the past 11 years prior.... To my fellow grads, I know it’s unfair it’s so freaking unfair... We all worked so hard to get here only to have it taken away. I always wanted to granduate just to get out of this town, now that it's literally right around the corner I can't help but regret not joining in clubs and spending more times with my friends cause I know I most likely won't see them again, I wish I could walk with them to lunch one last time and properly say goodbye like the seniors before me
So to the next generation on their last year getting ready to graduate, take your time, and enjoy it, cause you never know if your gonna walk the halls one last time and not even realize it like we did

As part of the class of 2021 I have to say, this song is extremely relatable. 12 years went by so fast, it came and went, and just like that senior year was over. I only have 3 weeks and then I’m off to college. It’s crazy man. Absolutely crazy, cherish your years at school while you can guys, you may not like it but you’ll miss it when it’s gone

This is so sad! Im the class of 2016 and feel so bad for all those seniors who missed that special moment of throwing your caps in the air and celebrating with your classmates or switching your tassel. I can't imagine not doing that. It's horrible! Graduation is sooo special and you don't get to be apart. I am truly sorry but this will most definitely be a graduation you never forget

Class of 2021, and this how I feel. My whole life I hate school, and people, now I’m going graduated high school. I waste my childhood just being on internet, not have fun. I will miss having fun and now I’m adult and graduation means after adult stuff, it hits me to know I’m going have a job after this and had to pay taxes. Not going lie I will miss being a kid and have fun. If ur a kid just remember, have good time of ur childhood, don’t waste it. Like me did.

this doesn’t remind me of missing out on graduating senior year (since this fall is my senior year) but this reminds me of freshman year. i got pulled out of public school and started being homeschooled. it was the hardest transition of my life, and still is. i feel like i’ve missed out on so many friends, opportunities, and the average “high school experience” whatever that entails. idk just makes me reminisce

Truly, a very emotional music video. Though I am not graduating yet, I feel tremendously bad for the grads. If I knew that would be one of my last days walking the halls, hugging my friends, laughing, and screaming of joy-. I would've said goodbye, hug, and take a few pictures. I was excited to be promoted into 7th grade. Excited to finally see the last day of 6th. *Unfortunately, me and many others never saw that day for this year.* We planned so many goals, especially towards school. *Yet, my biggest one was to graduate 6th grade, with all of my friends, and classmates.* Celebrating. And cheering. Its depressing how this year of many ended. *Now I am worried. Worried for who have survived, and who have lost. Not knowing who I have lost. Clueless. We may have lost a close friend, or relative. Clueless.* *But now I know that I will be going back in a couple of weeks, I am bottling up excitement. Waiting to explode with joy once I meet my close ones once again.* I cant wait to go back to school. Seeing all of my friends. And even people I weren't even close with. Some people weren't as lucky as me, and I understand that we all have our ups and downs. *But, know that there is always somebody supporting you. During your best or worst times. Whether you know it or not. Good luck.*

Emma, what a great song for the class of 2020. Not just for high school students, but also for primary school and college/university students graduating and moving on to something bigger and better. Unfortunately, everyone who is graduating this year is in the same boat. All of humanity will remember this year and what was lost. You have a career ahead of you in the music industry, keep signing and reaching for the stars. You've got a bright future ahead of you.

As a person who graduated in 2020, I will never forget the feeling of being whipped out of a classroom. I will never forget the feeling of everyone going in panic, I will never forget the empty feeling that Resided inside of me. But that empty feeling knowing that there will be no prom, there will be no commencement. After 12 years of hard work and dedication we were thrown aside as the world slowly crumbled. This isn’t in bad manner, It’s simply what happened.

Grad 1978. Couldn't imagine not going through what proved to be a rehearsal for yet more formal university degrees. It was both fun and awkward at the same time but 40+ years later I'm still friends with many of the 100 people I first graduated with. I feel for Grad 2020. Hope the first 5 year reunion makes up for an otherwise really shit outcome. Good luck. God bless. May you forge ahead in your worldly endeavors with passion and creativity.

I wish I would make more memories, go to more football games, and just enjoy my years and not stress it and just enjoy life before it all gets taken! To say goodbye to teachers, to enjoy the classroom, to soak up every ounce I can!

So so so nice Emma you have really touched me & it was a VERY long time since I left school. I would suggest that you or one of your friends post this song out to as many schools as possible so that the final year leavers can listen to it in the years to come and know that there will ALWAYS be those special people out there where ever they maybe that can be looked up for the support that is often needed in this cruel and seemingly uncaring world as they like yourself will be bonded by a special friendship that can never be truly replicated in other walks of life. You have nailed this & I applaud you.

So I also didn't have a prom, yearbook signing, senior trip, etc and I honestly lost all my friends when I left. It was out of sight out of mind for them I guess. So this time brings up a lot of bad memories and I wouldn't wish my experience on anybody, I'm sad it's happening to a whole generation.
