Sorry to bother you I have a couple questions so I followed your video and another Mike Daughtry and wind up my crank camshafts do the marks you guys were saying are hand rotated the motor to make sure it would spin put it back together and I started it and it has a rough idle like the timing is off is there a different trick would you have an idea what I might have messed up on
Now that it’s a year later and the 12 month warranty is up on the enginetech kit how is it holding up? I’ve been putting off doing mine for the fear of not being able to get quality parts but I don’t wanna hold off anymore lol
Hey, sorry for the delayed reply. I've put 20k on it, run very hard, 7k rpm limiter wheelspin getting out of mud and snow in the bush and daily driving, and the chains are perfectly silent and smooth still. So far, I'm very impressed by the kit.
Awesome video! I'm about to do the same job + replace those stupid o-rings that are sandwiched between the block/spacer and spacer/oil pan. How's the timing set holding up? Was eyeing that enginetech kit too. Later!
So far so good! Enginetech is a US based company and apperently supplies many large shops with engine parts, the parts looked like very nice quality going in. Yea as I figured out after getting er on the road, my deck plate is also leaking from that stupid o-ring. That's a project for another day, or year. 😆 This unit is only my winter/bush buggy, and I love it for what it is.
Thanks for your time in making this
What enginetech kit is this and do i need anything outside of seals that doesnt come with the kit?
Thanks!

As long as you lined up all your marks the timing shouldn't be out. Did you maybe forget to plug something back in? Like an injector or coil or so?

what tool did you use to remove the screws on the tensioner
On which tensioner? Theres 3 of them.
😊
What brand of chains and tensioners did you use? I've heard lots of horror stories about the chinese made units.
Enginetech kit off of rock auto. 20k km of hard abuse and still running perfectly.
Nice job on the video! Is it roughly the same process in the h20a 2.0 v6?
I'm not sure, but I'd imagine it to be similar yes.
