- Now that things have settled with the Final Shape, it's time to continue my journey in making Destiny's forgotten exotics usable! In this episode: Wings of Sacred Dawn!

If you want a more add-clear focused heavy weapon, Eyes Of Tomorrow is almost built to be paired with this exotic. Getting a multikill refunds 1 ammo to reserves, and WoSD loads it right back into the chamber. The sheer number of missiles you can launch in a row with a decently target rich environment is great. Would reccomend for Onslaught and other similarly enemy-dense environments.

Yeah, it's cool to get some back-to-back Adaptive Ordnance shots, but you lose altitdue because the Sacred Tome buff expires before you land final blows in most cases, forcing you to unaim and reaim
2 words: Heir Apparent. Combine that with a solar lightweight gl of your choice, and any osmosis kinetic (I like Firefright with 4th times), and you will start identifying as an attack helicopter. Your pronouns will henceforth be air/support. Also use Heat Rises instead of Hellion. With Ember of Empyrean and your Phoenix Dive, it’ll allow you to get and maintain RestoX2 the whole time you’re up there in the air. That, combined with the healing from Icarus Dash and the shield from Heir Apparent turns you into a pretty decent imitation of a floating fortress. Try it out sometime, it’s good up to even the most challenging mid tier content.
A side note: If you run Retraced Path as the crafted Trace Rifle, you can get Shoot to Loot/Incandescent to grab ammo from the air.
Chaining Parasite like that is very fun. 10/10 recommend for a good time
@jadesojourn I was going to go the Retraced Path route, and I was even going to use that exact roll! I had big ambitions to use other Root of Nightmares weapons for the origin trait but that didn't come to fruition.

What they could do to Wings of Sacred Dawn is make it improve heat rises to where it also refunds grenade energy, and makes it so ability/solar weapon kills scorch
Also great with a wave frame

Forgotten? I've been using Wings for 6 years straight. My whole build revolves around Wings. Glad to see it getting recognition. It is bugged right now with solar bows since it's last change which was nearly 1 year ago.
ITS STILL BUGGED???? stg i’m never using this till it gets fixed because the only thing is want to use with it is hierarchy of needs, since all the rest of the solar exotics i have a different build to use with it
@@sophieirisviel4100 It's still doable. I've been dealing with it. It just freezes the reload animation while getting a final blow while tome of dawn is active. You can still fire while the animation is frozen but won't be able to properly aim for a second.
@@Winter505 being unable to properly aim with one of the most aim intensive weapon types is something i would count as broken

I really liked Prismatic with Wings and Blink in PvP. Combining the speed and jukes of Blink with the ability to float gives you crazy versatility for what angles you can take, and 15% DR (tested it myself, it really is 15% in PvP too, plus 35% flinch resist is equal to 3x Unflinching!) is absolutely ludicrous for... pressing spacebar? Several archetypes get obliterated by it, notably Red Death losing the ability to 2-burst, along with other pulse rifles without a good damage perk active.
Wouldn't activating Heat Rises and refreshing Restoration with weapon kills be THE combinations to pair with Tommy's Matchbook?

So I know this is a month old. But I decided to make a build around this chest piece since I had it and thought it was cool. I found that Prometheus lenz was good. Insanely good actually...
Edit: was surprised you went to trace rifle too lol.
@user-xn6cr7yv3c I'm always looking for an excuse to use Prometheus. The only reason I didn't was because Prometheus already refills it's own magazine, and I was desperately trying to use this exotic to it's fullest. I'm glad to see there are other Prometheus enjoyed out there!
@@posttiggle try it with red death reformed. Healing+auto reload+bonus damage resist. Might be PVP playbook.
It should be able to be used with any subclass

Why did you pick that trace rifle and not an exotic like Prometheus Lense or legendary like Retraced Path?

does it work with bows finally? i’ve been really wanting to use this with hierarchy but sadly the autoloading effect makes it unusable with any bow
I didn't try it with a bow, unfortunately. I really like Hierarchy of Needs, I'll have to pull it out of the vault a try it again with this and a few more exotics!
