Blizzconline is just around the corner, and a TBC announcement could happen anytime soon. That's why this will probably also be my last investment guide before TBC, as an announcement would make it difficult to make new videos where you can earn a decent profit. That's also the reason I release this guide now, so you can take advantage of it :)

Thanks for all the videos so far by the way! I had some ideas on my own from the very start but i could also get inspired from your content and prepare so much stuff that i will never care about gold for the entirety of TBC.
Glad I could help you. The whole idea of my investments, is to make sure I can enjoy TBC and not care about grinding gold.
This will be very important, as there is so much I will have to do beside grinding gold. Rep farm, arena, pvp gear, pve gear, alts and so on.
yes buy lots of it. crash prices at launch so I can buy things even cheaper
that uh, may not happen as you think it will. That really only happens in an economy when there is a finite supply that is hoarded, but goods are infinitely produced in a video game.

I was thinking, maybe another potential investment (for Horde) might be Pristine Black Diamond. You need one for the Paladin epic mount quest, and those will probably become fairly rare as it is a rare drop from random mobs in classic content. They are currently around 20s on my server, so I bought a bunch with very low risk.
I have actually mentioned those in one of my first investment video :)

Bro, the prices shown in this video are 1/2 to 1/3rd the cost on my server. LBS are 8g each, and Nexus are 13g each. Also, Skullflame Shield is 350g, so selling for 500g isn't much of a profit.
I guess a lot of people took advantage of this then. Has there been a banwave to bots as well? Because bots was the reason skullflame and LBS was cheap, as they farm dungeons 24/7.
But the price for sure depends on the server :)
great video as always.. some of these items are high in price on my server so i'll hold off.. something i've been doing slowly over time is winning auctions on bids only, mainly for JC materials because some gems arent in demand for classic stuff and people dont pay attention to their bids.
Yeah that's a smart way to get those mats cheap :)
But as you say, many mats are becoming expensive these days, I'm looking forward to see what will happen after the announcement.
Just checking, but Light Feathers are still required as a casting component in TBC, right?

Hey QT! I love it. Thing is - i'm a bit stressed out. I re-rolled alliance (was horde most of classic) because I love alliance more and want to play there in TBC. I think I can transfer about 2k gold (all my gold) to the alliance server with a character move, but I am wondering - do you have any tips on how to get a lot of gold to use as capital to make all these investments? I would love to be following this but I am a bit lost at what to do best for gold. I've never done a GDKP but I wonder if they really work out for most peopel to pay that much or not. I rerolled on Gehennas so I have a huge alliance population to playwith. Any ideas?
My best suggestion is to check the market before you transfer.
Some items could be very cheap on your current server, which you could buy and resell on the new server. That way you make a profit, which you can invest.
Else boosting, gdkp and herbalism will always be good ways to make gold :)
I've been making a killing on farming Sandwurm Meat and making desert dumplings lately. Granted, they were selling for almost 10g each at some point (which was crazy) but even @ 7G each it's very good. You should be able to get anywhere between 40 and 60 per hour. If you can sell Twillight Texts for close to 2g each on your server then that's very decent aswell.
I dont know who needs to hear this, Bitcoin is the future right now, only the wise will understand this
investment wise, I will advice people take advantage of this now before the financial wolves begin to control the market
whatever investment you do with crypto, make sure you have an expert on your side, so you dont loose out
3:15 bro you do very good research, but in all honesty I doubt, that this item will become of such high value just because of that quest. A) Many levelling shamans won't even do this quest and right off skip it B) they will probably get boosted through dungeons instead. And even if some need this questitem , it won't push the price as high. Even i have like 20 of these on one of my bank chars, dont know why I have them. But my stack is enough to supply 20 players for this quest. The price will go up, but only by a small 5-15% margin, nothing higher, and the demand will not be super high. Keep in mind, every shaman levelling will only buy 1 of these. 1 per Player. If you put 500 in the Auction House, they won't even be sold all. The profit is not worth the investment and time here.
They will probably not be very expensive, but it's something that I had to include, also in case some of the views decide to play a Draenei shaman.
I don't recommend you buy more than those 20, but you can get 20 for like 1gold, so if you have enough bagspace, thing it's only a 20s loss from vendor.
There is for sure way better things to invest into, I also prefer to stack more expensive items, instead of filling banks with low cost items only :)
Are nexus Crystal's worth buying now if they are 10g each?
I would not pay that much to be honest

Hello, thank you so much for your video. I was wondering if there will be a cooldown on the nexus transformation ? I just read somewhere that there was a 1 day cd on the nexus crystal transformation into small prismatic shard (back in vanilla)... If that's the case it will take me 200 days to complete the transformation... haha. Anyone who played in the beta to confirm this? Thanks again
I have not been able to test if there's a cooldown. Check wowhead, there should be valid info there :)
@@GuideMMO thank you for your answer :) I might be bad at searching... On wowhead, they say that the transformation was introduced with 2.2 and that the CD was removed on 2.3... I have no clue about WOW classic TBC and I saw some other person asking this question, with no real answer ^^ I guess we will have the answer very soon anyway but damn I was not expecting this...
@@Sim56bzh I mean some things is patch 2.4.3 and other stuff is not in tbc classic, so yeah I guess we gotta wait. Maybe they might even remove it if there is no cd

Ghost Mushroom was eventually at 40s on my realm while Gromsblood was 10s so i ended up buying like 2k each thinking to make elixirs of demonslaying at TBC but then the bots were purged and Ghost Mushroom jumped to 2g while Gromsblood jumped to 50s so i have decided to sell everything back and made a disgusting amount of gold from which i am investing further into cheap cloth/leather/herbs ( arthas tears especially since it costs below 5s and it will be able to level up alchemy from 235 up to 270 ). I also bought a ton of ace of portals when everyone was farming AD rep through Scholomance before Naxx and i ended up crafting 49 portals decks at 40g each which i am expecting to sell at 300g+ once the arenas come out.

I can for sure see a difference in the price for some items as well, and the banwave has to be the reason then.
@@GuideMMO We had a plethora of banwaves and nothing really changed ( i was getting mails from blizzard almost every week thanking me for reporting bots ) but then they did that cease and desist on that german developer that was building the bots and all of a sudden so much changed in game which i am glad in a way because i could see the swarm of bots farming inside TBC dungeons for herbs and especially fel lotus.

The gathering professions had almost no value so far since it was impossible to compete with the bots and it was going to be a huge let down at TBC ( especially since bots could gather night and day inside dungeons with a chance to get fel lotus ). p.s. many of the end game herbs/ores on my realm jumped to x2 up to x3 the price from before
Would be worth mentioning that for brilliant wizard oil which is still the best weapon consumable uses large brilliants

I hope we get FRESH servers too, as they would make everything more difficult and that way you will have more stuff to do :)

There's so much stuff to do in TBC, compared to classic. Which is why I rather grind gold / invest right now, so I don't have to do that in TBC :)

I rather like big investments, like winter squid before summer I stacked over 2000 of these. Sold them for 10x profit when they were not available to fish in summer. Made me rich a f

I have to start farming raw gold very soon, as it's going to be very important aswell (to flip the new TBC items)

Unsure about it, as I think a lot of people already got that deck made in classic
I honestly don't think light and medium hides will be worth jack shit. There will be a billion new characters leveling up with skinning in TBC. But Heavy Hide is a bit more rare and could actually see a small increase in price, but not right out the gate. Thing is most people who will min max with LW for PvE is already doing Naxx right now, and probably already saved up on mats for 1 - 300 LW anyway.
A ton of people quitted classic long ago and don't have mats, and many people will also return before TBC. Some will also wait with LW and do enchanting first for the ring enchants and then go LW.
But you take a risk with investments :)
Large brilliant shards will also be useful to craft classic caster oil, as classic one is better then TBC one ;) Those & fireblooms should get a massive increase in price.

yeah, and the reason the price will also go up, is because bots will probably not farm dire maul anymore, but instead TBC content.
So there will be a low supply, but a huge demand :)
I am going to laugh so much when they announce that TBC servers will be fresh.
I'm going to laugh when people who think this, realize that blizzard don't want people to lose all their progression in classic :)

@@justatallguy If they do that, we have lost nothing tho. All these investments will be for nothing, but so what? I will be playing on a fresh tbc server anyway and that gold was still lost in that case. So either we gain alot, or lose nothing, but know what to keep when leveling.
@@Heiro17 Yeah, you lose the time farming stuff. To me time is the most valuable thing I don't want to waste, but to you it may be just "whatever".

For sure, but that's also why they are cheap and could make a big profit.
My best advice is to start investing into professions mats, that I covered in my other video, but the downside, is that many of those mats are already very expensive.
