Yo tengo 46 y llevo en el rollo punk y skinhead desde los 14. Ser PUNK es una ACTITUD. Yo hace años que no me disfrazo. Saludos desde España!!! HxC, Punk y Oi! forever!!
Lars has really aged well. He looks great. Family life has grounded him. Watching him makes me proud to still fly the punk flag in my mid 50s. Always felt his vocals were among the best in all of punk rock. Just a unique, growly, gritty style all his own.
I told my childhood buddy, that the one who dies later will play this song in the other's funeral. This is so good, and hits deeper than anything else...Thank you so much for this!
In these times you have to get busy living or get busy dying. Most of us are old now and most of us would not change a thing and have zero regrets for the lives we lived. First class LaRS
I saw Lars at the State Theater in St. Petersburg, FL open for Dropkick Murphys. It was a memorable show, Lars filled in for the DKM guitarist cause he had broken his hand. I had so much fun!
I wish I could talk to Lars and tell him.Man your songs give me strength to continue living through my darkest hours... I will keep standing proud and tall. Thanks for everything Lars
I think you need to bring him into your podcast, Andrew. I Love when you mentioned that you used to study listening to Rancid and Bob Dylan. Your back pages.
I remember backpacking around India in 2009 for 6 months, Wayback before wifi everywhere and Spotify etc., I had downloaded 2 CDs on mp3 to my phone, Lars Frederiksen and the Bastards and Rancid Indestructible, it was literally the only music I heard through all of India. It kept me sane and I wouldn't change it for modern-day traveling with Spotify and all the money in the world. cramped up in Indian trains for 36 hours, no aircon sharing toilet with hundreds of people, but I didn't care I had my music.
2009….I was on RUclips…I think I had an IPhone….I guess “way back” is a relative term. Since the the new flu hit things have changed but I saw 09’ and 2019 as more or less the same. The world didn’t really change and there still hasn’t been a real NEW wave of underground rock roll. Ah……to be 30 something again…in that grand ol yesteryear of 2009……:)
Saw Lars in Bielefeld, Germany with the bastards when Viking came out. It was an absolute killer show. The new stuff is awesome. Nice to hear old classics in a new sound. Cheers from Germany 🇩🇪 to you all.
God Bless you Lars. We saw you n company back in early 2000's at The Pomona fair grounds in Socal. We love you then and we love you still. Keep on rocking in the free world! Oi! From Bridgetown Ca. SGV/USA!
what an idol in the punk and skinhead scene! one of the best singers, guitarists and performers in the scene! I love Lars and his skills and am proud that I also have Danish blood! ☠️🤘🇩🇰
"As I got older I got scars to prove my worth More times than others I fell face first in the dirt" such primal, honest and relatable lyrics, So stoked Lars released another album!

Lars, for me, always reminds me of the talent, aggressiveness and original timbre of an authentic guitarist. I listened to Rancid for years and I was always struck by the motivation Lars showed and that was key for me.
Shot out to my old neighborhood and all those crazy Hooligans in Sremska Kamenica-Serbia 🇷🇸 !!!Best time of my life, running those streets , being young and wild.
PUNX, tattoo'd on my knuckles. Not quoting, I literally have that on the knuckles of my right hand. Thank you, Lars. Thank you punk rock. This shit saved my life.
the music of Lars and Rancid accompanied me throughout my life in good and bad times. Thank you for his Lars and in particular "roots radical" "to have and have not" and "skunx" thank you from a Frenchman
I've still got the first 5 out of the six on disc. I mean, they're all on the Spotify playlist, as well, but it's still nice to look at those disturbingly scratched up copies. Some good memories from those albums.
This video flipped my mind… that’s literally the neighborhood I grew up in. Crap ass apartments on Sharmon Palms Ln. I ate at that Taco Bravo and worked at the Sunnyoaks Shell station before it burnt. Damn I miss Palermo’s pizza
This song is so strong, a man on top of the world reflecting on how he got there, honoring his crew thats been with him the whole way. I fuckin dig this one man!
I've still yet to see a Rancid show ( but saw Op Ivy at Gilman back in the day) , but I've seen Old Firm play and seen Lars walking around at a few shows and the guys is a super humble approachable guy. Considering Rancid's popularity as well as Lars' other projects------ one might expect rock star attitude, but absolutely none!
I may be older now, understand extended chords, and be able to play interesting harmonies, but the influence you and those who came before will never fade.

Lars is a damned legend. Love him and his music which has helped me throughout the years. That pic with him in Last Resort is one of my favourites. Along with the one of him as a little lad.
I remember catching Lars and the Bastards when they opened up Warped Tour one year in Toronto it was sweet, we had a big area to go nuts since most people weren't able to get into the venue for awhile due to long lineups
