My take away was how to use the card stock to shape her hat brim, and using the chenille stem to help shape her hat. I learn something every time; thank you for another fun hour! Cute project for Halloween!
Love all the Waldorf dolls! Another super fun idea for them, Waldorf witches! These are so much fun! If I ever finish my dragon, I will be making these! Fun idea and I always love your Wooly Wednesday episodes! I do miss watching them Live, but grateful that I now have a job and just so glad I can tune in later! Congrats to the winners! How fun!
I bought all of the skin tones to make these amazing dolls! Now I have a new style to try. I love that you can just layer and pull off small pieces and put them where you need to fill in bare spots! Thank you Marie and the Fabulous Fairies!!!
So glad you offer these replays I got interrupted during the live show today. LOVE the witch, hoping I get my mojo back, I keep watching videos but have inertia.
Hi, I missed the live video but will start replay now, thank you for these fabulous tutorials!! I learn so much with each of them. This is my first time and I am in OZ :)
You are an amazing teacher. No more destroying my work at the end through tearing apart as your techniques are what I have been looking for . Thank you thank you ! My 7 year old ( Waldorf) grandson loves it and commented , no face is perfect , it looks like the puppets he works with. My hat off to you, Marie !
These are adorable! You know by now, with all my binge watching, I have a list of projects to make for my beginner pieces. My sister & I collected figurines with the "no faces" & she does make the Waldorf style. Now I know what she was talking about! When someone has no horse hair etc, you can buy paint brushes at the dollar store & use the bristles for brooms etc. That's my idea anyway. I make mini staffs (papier-mâché") etc so I'm always looking for ideas for them.
Love ❤️ the witches. Never thought about using horse hair. Thank you so much I always learn so much. Congratulations lady’s for winning. Love love your video’s
Another great project! I look forward to WW every week. A suggestion or two...if you have an interesting ornamental grass, you could use it for the broom. Also, wind some fine colored wire around the broom, from top to bottom or just around the hair/grass.
Thanks for another fun lesson! Can’t wait to make some witchies! Totally unrelated question, but I can’t stop admiring the palette of colors on the shelf to the right (from my perspective) of Marie’s head - 2 layers of 7 colors. Can you tell me what colors they are? And do they already exist in a bundle I can buy? I’d be interested in carded wool. Thank you!
Patience is my take away!. Needle felted her body and dress and head. Made her hair and put it on..... made the broom and sewed it to her hand.. then went to put on hat and it was very heavy for her. Also no amount of needle felting would attach it to her head. So patience abounds. making a new hat and keeping fingers crossed. Thank you for the inspiration .... love this little witch. 😄
Wooly Wednesday is the highlight of my week! I really did have to "step out" of the lesson to take my little poodle (seen in my profile picture) into her chiropractor appointment. The first 15 minutes and the last half hour I watched in the parking lot. (That middle 15 minutes is when I missed the MC-1 color for the witch with Bette Davis streak in her hair.) Wooly Wednesday is the best! And, I really do wonder if people would go for a Kit-of-the-Month club. Hmmm...
WOW! I was wanting to learn needle felting but thought it was 'way too hard' and now, well, I signed up to the school 😀 The 'broom' is called a Besom. These are cute Witches.
i really enjoy watching most of your videos. it has helped me get better at felting. i felt like like i have been getting better within the time.. is there a way that i can send you my felting in pictures.
Horse hair is a great idea , I’ve made brooms before and never thought of using it for a broom and we have horses !!! Do you dry the stick before using it and is any particular wood better than another ?
MC-1 is 25 micron... the Bergschaff we have us more coarse, and more slick/ wires. The Bergschaff reminds us of New Zealand Corriedale, but a shorter staple, whereas MC-1 is more crimpy and felts more smooth.
Hi, is there certain wools to use? I just tried making the hat and the world from Hobby Lobby, Artists, just seems to silky idk I'm so upset, maybe I'm using the wrong needle, cause when I stab it it feels so thin. I am using a 3 prong needle pen. I'm very new to this.
Thank You Marie for this video. I am still at the hotel waiting on my home to be finished. They have put up decorations for Halloween and I am going to make one of these little witches to add. I love how they look. So excited to see how she looks. Will send a picture
Thank you for felting with us! Let us know your favorite take away!
My take away was how to use the card stock to shape her hat brim, and using the chenille stem to help shape her hat. I learn something every time; thank you for another fun hour! Cute project for Halloween!
Had to call me back and watch again, I enjoyed it so much

These are so cute. I can see a whole group of them I will need to make.
I really like these witches. Wish I had this tutorial before I made my witch. Will have to make another one!

Love the Witches. On my list to do.
Cute little witches! I really like all the variations, like the bee doll A lady bug doll would be cute as well. So many possibilities. Thank you!!
Yes...check the group...someone made a few lady bugs right after the bee fairy video :)
Fantastic tutorial - my second time and I so enjoy watching these.

She's going to be so cute!
So much fun, thank you! Now i have a lot of ideas, your videos are always so inspiring! This new pumpkin hat is adorable!!!
Love your videos! I'm just starting out! Love the art of felting! Cute projects!
Marie, I love your tips...corregated cardboard or card stock to make the edges and not poke myself so much. All of your tips are so practical
😘

Great ideas 💡 👌
This was fun to watch. Thank you for putting these together. Ordered a kit as well
They are cute. I like the little dreadlocks one. I might make these this year
Thanks for another fun lesson! Can’t wait to make some witchies! Fun witch, I am going to stop making pumpkins and start on witches! Thanks Marie!
That was a fun, fast hour of laughs😂... thanks for the sunshine 🌞
If felting head on was a challenge... see our similar dolls from last year... link in description for a different style.
@@LivingFelt Nope the head was okay… the hat was too felted to stay on the head. That’s what I believe anyway 😃
Hi I am new at your tutorials and also new to needle felting! In a frenzy to make pumpkins for Thanksgiving table, I am addicted to the crunch, lol!!!
I have several witches ready to go. This is a great project!
I love the witches they are so adorable
Thank you for showing how to add the fiber to make the hands and sleeves!
Wooly Wednesday is the highlight of my week! I really did have to "step out" of the lesson to take my little poodle (seen in my profile picture) into her chiropractor appointment. These dolls r so cute gotta do this thanks for sharin
Nice to know how to make a witches hat....never figured out the brim on my own.
I just made the little hat for a doll I made, it's perfect!
I was excited to hear that Laura Ricks has two new classes in the tutorials.
I love this doll. I am making some to put in holloween bags.
WOW! I was wanting to learn needle felting but thought it was 'way too hard' and now, well, I signed up to the school 😀
The 'broom' is called a Besom. These are cute Witches.
Why haven't thought of using the left over cardboard for templates? ....wow, just a ton of tips , thank you
Running a bit behind. Just started my witch. Great video
Gracias desde España, es precioso tu trabajo
i really enjoy watching most of your videos. it has helped me get better at felting. i felt like like i have been getting better within the time.. is there a way that i can send you my felting in pictures.
Can't wait!
When I cover the bottom of the skirt I like to add two ovals of black of brown so it looks like the bottom of shoes.
Cute
Very cute. For the hair could I blend some Silk into merino to give it a little shine?
Oh yes!!
İzlemek bile mutluluk verici👏👏❤
Horse hair is a great idea , I’ve made brooms before and never thought of using it for a broom and we have horses !!! Do you dry the stick before using it and is any particular wood better than another ?
😁 Marie just fetched it off the ground ...it is quite dry.
Sweet witch jokes that I’ll share with my silly grandson
Different hairstyles, can’t wait to watch that one
That was fun. Question…. your MC1 batting is it similar to a Bergshaff wool around 23-27 micron?
MC-1 is 25 micron... the Bergschaff we have us more coarse, and more slick/ wires. The Bergschaff reminds us of New Zealand Corriedale, but a shorter staple, whereas MC-1 is more crimpy and felts more smooth.
Thank you so much for all of the helpful tips!! Would you guys consider showing how to make a little doll wearing pants?
She's was fun ❤️
I am obsessed with that black cherry?color ..i
The witches are so cute!! Also, a special thanks to Kayla for her phone help getting me into the Facebook group.

Liked the jokes. My first time to make a comment. I am new to needle felting.
