A SONG WITH NO TITLE :::
In a quiet town where shadows roam,
Lived a girl who felt so far from home.
She hid her face, her dreams, her fears,
Behind a mask of others’ cheers.
She longed to fit, to blend, to Mold,
Into the shapes that others told.
But every night, when stars would rise,
She’d face herself with tearful eyes.
One day she wandered by a stream,
And there she met a gentle gleam.
    A wise old woman, silver-haired,
Sat by the water, deeply aware.
“Why do you cry?” the woman asked,
As the girl removed her well-worn mask.
“I wish to be like them,” she sighed,
“To be someone I can’t deride.”
The woman smiled, her eyes so bright,
Like stars that pierced the darkest night.
“You seek acceptance, dear, I see,
But you must first accept to be free.”
“Look in the water,” the woman said,
“See your reflection, face your dread.”
The girl peered down, her heart did pound,
At the sight of herself so profound.
She saw the eyes that held her soul,
The scars that made her broken whole.
She saw the dreams that dared to gleam,
And all the love she failed to deem.
With trembling hands, she touched her face,
And felt the warmth of self-embrace.
“I am enough,” she softly spoke,
And in her heart, a light awoke.
The wise old woman nodded slow,
“For now you see, you’re not shadow.
You are the sun, the moon, the star,
You are perfect just as you are.”
The girl stood tall, her spirit soared,
No longer to her fears implored.
She danced along the stream’s soft edge,
With newfound love, she made her pledge.
“I’ll be myself, no mask, no fear,
I’ll cherish all I hold dear.
For in my heart, I’ve found my home,
And in my soul, I’m not alone.”
The town awoke to see her shine,
A girl transformed, a heart divine.
For she had learned, through night and day,
To love herself in every way
