Man, I love this video. Thanks so much for taking the time and thought to make us learn something new about business school today that might otherwise not be accessible to 99% of people watching this video. I am trying to create something seemingly impossible by creating a group/company where everyone works effectively, feels that their employer cares a lot, and is happy to work towards one goal: everyone's prosperity. Watching your video makes me think that it is actually possible. Starting my new venture today. Thanks again!
I’m an IT Consultant with 25 years working on the Application/Processes for many customers and totally agree. This is an excellent video and the Starbucks example is right on.
Don't forget the impact of external forces on a business proposition. A business may look good from porter's 5 forces analysis, and you may have a competitive advantage, but if the nature of activity can be severely impacted by external forces outside your control, that may be a risk that's not worth taking. I have a business where I lend monies to farmers but I have first handedly experience how a back to back bad harvest can destroy the whole livelihood of farmer, which definitely impacted my cash flows and profits big time, creating such a huge stress for the business and myself.
It's great to see someone who's actually experienced the Stanford Business School curriculum share their knowledge. The lessons on emotional intelligence and building relationships are truly valuable for anyone aspiring to be a successful leader.
Awesome video! I never had a formal business education, but through and my recent starting some business ish activities I feel like I’ve gotten an innate knowledge of a lot of what was said in this. Also as someone who has monetized a number of different RUclips channels in different niches, the information in this vid easily transfers over into the world of YT channels. You earned a sub from me!
This was amazing. I'm a random non-business guy who is trying to self-educate to hopefully purchase or start a business somewhat soon, and you are straightforward, concise, and entertaining. You've explained things I've struggled to find good information on and understand how it all relates to everything else, in an order and simplicity that makes sense. Thank you!
Make sure to take your time Marco and don't put huge pressure on yourself! Learning how to actually be good in business is all about trying it yourself, learning from failure, and iterating. Take small steps! You can get started with the tiniest of things starting a side hustle first!
Wow! Loved this video. Definitely will watch the zero connections to growing a network video as well. Also, there is a great little book that very few people have heard of called, The Connectors, that helped me think in terms of growing my network and some actual questions to assess your actions. If you're shy it's a bit painful to go through. But, frankly it's the best day to day and week to week advice for regular people who didn't have good network building role models.
Similarly to how you're really good at analyzing companies and projecting their upside, I have the ability to know a 2 million subscriber channel when I see it. I stumbled upon you and there's no doubt you're going to be RUclips giant. You're out here casually dropping game changing knowledge lol
I am all about entrepreneurship, but I'm also a realist and being an entrepreneur is even harder than most people realize. Having a degree is not only a backup plan, but an extra credential when looking for investors.

I don't have a business background in anything and I don't think I can ever afford to get back in school for a MBA, so this is an amazing value proposition in one single video, FOR FREE! I run my own social brand as an entertainer and although I don't have any physical products(yet) to offer, and only a subscription-based model based on regularly-timed live content, I think the concepts explained in your video are mighty helpful for me.
Does this actually encompass the majority of what you learn in university? In my country you learn all of this within a first couple years of secondary school
The content in this video is phenomenal. It should be noted that all these summarized concepts of much larger practical applications will wither away if you don’t use real-life examples to really maximize the benefit. Everything taught here is the same in every business school, and that’s not a jab at Standford, we’re just limited in our knowledge. Obviously the networking is the real gem in Standford Business School. However, the way you build on this knowledge and the way you apply it and integrate it into a critical perspective in your day to day life is crucial. For example, analyze the business next door to you, see how you can predict their future success based on current factors (porter’s five forces, simple financial analysis, basic understanding of competition and marketing they’re doing.) it will become second nature to you, and building your own business will be much simpler when you simply understand what you’re doing and what others are doing.
i can’t lie this guy def gave out the sauce learning all of this in school right now, would i drop out right now? absolutely not but he definitely covered the basics and there’s lots of other free resources you can find just by looking up the stuff he talked about in this vid
To your point about branding in the competitive advantage section; companies can sell you an identity. You buying a product is a way for you to subconsciously reaffirm what you think of yourself by buying a product that has a brand identity that you want. When buying Apple, you’re becoming modern and advanced. When buying Nike, you’re signaling that you’re a high level athlete. When buying 2 years at Stanford, you’re stepping into the shoes of the billionaires that have come before you

we used Harvard case studies at our classes and then some more local examples. yep, pretty much the whole 2 year MBA here. :D you can take this video and dive deeper in each topic Jay mentions to read in detail. also the difference of fancy schools is that often the lecturer has worked for one of these big companies or they have developed one of these concepts. that is cool but at the same time some of them are not very interested in teaching selflessly. they do it sometimes to have access to the uni funds for their research projects etc. each lecturer at uni must deliver some classes on top of their research work to work at the lab (in short). also you leave uni with contacts because each coursemate is going to become someone and you can benefit from that.

As a person with MA in economics - this was a super cool video to watch! Definitely recommend studying economics at school, which is usually deeper and even more philosophical than entrepreneurship and accounting, and go to MBA networking parties when you can. Hit 2 birds with one stone.:) Thank you for this video - amazing work!✨
Man, I love this video.
Man, you’re a beast. That’s one of the best sumups of content I’ve seen in RUclips. Great stuff.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and an MBA. This guy literally explained everything I learned in 5.5 years. Great video!
Dont they have insurances for those cases?

It's great to see someone who's actually experienced the Stanford Business School curriculum share their knowledge. The lessons on emotional intelligence and building relationships are truly valuable for anyone aspiring to be a successful leader.
Cheers Phylis! Trust your emotional intelligence and focus on genuine human connection to carry you far in life!
Welcome to the journey Dapz! And proud of you for starting businesses on your own already!
Bro upload more
This was amazing.
“ Serve others you serve yourself “
GOLDEN!!!!
Hands down one of the best videos I've ever watched. Thankyou for such easy and complete explainations, you surely put in a great amount of work.
Thanks so much for the kinds words Mylie! Cheers and hope to see you again!
your overlap of emotional intelligence to businesses was unexpected, but its reflective of the nature of how you present yourself! incredible video
Similarly to how you're really good at analyzing companies and projecting their upside, I have the ability to know a 2 million subscriber channel when I see it. I stumbled upon you and there's no doubt you're going to be RUclips giant. You're out here casually dropping game changing knowledge lol
Wow thank you so much for the kind words Christian. Genuinely means the world to me. Thanks for being an OG on the journey :)
I am all about entrepreneurship, but I'm also a realist and being an entrepreneur is even harder than most people realize. Having a degree is not only a backup plan, but an extra credential when looking for investors.
Legit awesome content. Close to completing my own MBA currently and yet summarized the key things so well into 30 minutes!
Thank you Charles! Finish strong💪
This is a video that every product manager out there should watch. Simple, to the point, zero deviation 👌🏻
This is incredible. I've never seen someone provide so much solid value in a single video. Thank you!
Man you are pouring your heart and soul into this content and it really shows! Honestly impressive you are able to give so much effort and provide such great value on this RUclips channel while running a full time business. Thanks for another great video, I already work in business but learned a lot from the 3 financial statements section in particular

The type of videos I watch. 0 Fluff. You nailed it !! The editing is freaking amazing. Wonder who is the editor. Well done!!
My editing team are Gods - couldn't do it without them
This is such an amazing FREE online intro for business education, which also made me curious about your thought on investing in an MBA program. Do you think it is worth it? Super newbie here, so if there's any video you've made sharing your perspective on it, definitely lemme know!
Thank you again for all the good stuff in here!!!
That was one of the best videos I’ve seen in a bit. Very informative and well condensed. As a Marketer turnt Project Manager myself, I know most of what you covered but it was the way you covered it in such a short video that was a wow factor. Keep ‘em coming. Just got yourself a subscriber ... 👏🏾👏🏾
I have a Marketing bachelors degree in the top 1 Latin american university and you sumarized almost everything that I saw in business/management classes. Really nice content!
I respect and support what you're doing, my Asian brotha! I grew up in Palo Alto but moved out of the bay in my 30s. Im glad to have the opportunity to learn this material. Thank you!
Dude , I really am amazed by how it correlate with my basic business thinking . Especially the Marketing, I always knew it was big waste on everyone rather than crash the customer you need !
I have watched almost a hundred videos on business and marketing.. hands down this is one of the best videos out there. Thanks for sharing!
Only 12mins in but this might be the best piece of content i have ever seen for learning about business, Thank you!
dude you rock so much for doing this you have no idea how happy I am to have access to this information ! What a time to be alive !!!
i wish i never got an MBA. Seriously. You just summarised 2 years in 28 minutes. Excellent!
Understanding strategy and frameworks like Porter's Five Forces can truly elevate your business analysis skills. Excited to dive into this insightful content! 🔍
And you dont have to pay 250k 😅
@@lazlosiedel2601 Haha true
Wow I did not expect this, top quality video and no-nonsense explanations. You won a new subscriber my friend
I'll be applying this very soon.
It's very rare this days to see high quality content, thanks
Love love how you communicate these mental models in such a concise way
Mate, as a business graduate myself, this is video is insanely well done. Congrats!!!
For example, analyze the business next door to you, see how you can predict their future success based on current factors (porter’s five forces, simple financial analysis, basic understanding of competition and marketing they’re doing.) it will become second nature to you, and building your own business will be much simpler when you simply understand what you’re doing and what others are doing.
ok i admit i was yawning thru the basics up till 24:40. But as a recently promoted manager just this year, that hit me. Good last section there.
Cheers! I'm working on a video now re: the 5 biggest mistakes I've made as a new manager that should come out soon that hopefully will help you too!
@@jayhoovy damn thats gonna be all FACTS! cant wait
I wouldn’t watch education videos on business. But when someone brings up the Apple thing, I know that this person is about to talk real business.
As a finance senior, this was an absolutely beautiful and great video.
i can’t lie this guy def gave out the sauce learning all of this in school right now, would i drop out right now? absolutely not but he definitely covered the basics and there’s lots of other free resources you can find just by looking up the stuff he talked about in this vid
man, your stuff is such high quality. keep up the good work
Thank you!!! :)
literally, the best business-orientated video I've ever found. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, man!
Thanks so much for the kinds words Mariia! Cheers!
Absolutely brilliant. THIS.WILL.BLOW.UP.
Thank you Muneeb!!! :)
When buying 2 years at Stanford, you’re stepping into the shoes of the billionaires that have come before you
What an incredible video! Thank you ! As someone who works in finance and started a business, I couldn’t thank you enough for the insights and knowledge
Thanks for the support Dylan!! Let me know if there's any other topics you want me to make videos about :)
@@jayhoovy Of course! So... I have a question (you can make a vid if you haven't already too :P) I'm about to launch a blue ocean-type social networking app. I'm super excited. My business partner and I developed the entire thing, but now, as we get into the marketing side of things, we don't really know how to approach it. I know you started with TikTok and were able to transition that audience to Stan + RUclips, but as someone who has no audience currently, how would you approach the marketing aspect of it?
@@dylanbarrera Currently working on a video about launching a business using social media!! Will make sure to cover this for ya :)
@@jayhoovy cool! Thanks for responding 😀
This guy has such a good vibe and I learned so much. May you be successful in everything you do.

Awesome. Your ability to communicate clearly and hold attention is just amazing. You gained a new subscriber
Welcome to the journey hustlefitness! Thank you for the kind words!
I appreciate that the video did not end with "The most valuable thing I learned can't be explained in a video. So sign up for my 6 week private Discord course!"
I can't describe how grateful I am for watching this.... thank you so much Jay.
This is incredible Jay, there’s so much value in this!
Mans just summarized my business finance class in 28 min. 🤯
26:26 employees don't quit jobs, they quit managers.
I have a tonne of respect for you for this amazing 28min crash course.
It was fun, easy-to-digest, engaging and it all feels like it will be genuinely useful to my business career.
Subbed! I cannot wait to see what other phenomenal comtent you have created for us. :D
as always, another incredible video - please keep them coming 👏🏾
Competing on cost also allows for an efficient PQ curve where the price of a product and the quality in return are attractive to the consumer
Now they’re never accepting RUclipsrs again lol

Appreciate the insight into Stanford! What's surprising is that I did a Bachelor of Commerce at a non-ivy league school + non-grad school and everything you covered was taught there as well
So much value! Thank you! Top video on RUclips!
As a Trader, trading my personal assets from home, you are giving a good explanation to how financial analysis works. However, just understanding a companies financial statements, balance sheets etc. isn’t enough to generate an investment idea. But, it’s certainly part of the process and people can figure their way from there with some thinking. Good on you for putting this out there! 20:54 yep, true!
For the retail investors and traders:
You also need to know that the market is not trading the present but the present perception of the foreseeable future. 23:01 YES!!! Very important! Most people don’t understand P/E ratios but you explained it correctly. Well done. I’m excited to see you saying this! 24:43 yeah good basic explanation. Nice! You touched on different important topics of financial analysis and it definitely provides a solid base for people. I like it! Nicely done!
Just wanted to cover the very basics, all without boring people with the expert detail! Appreciate you piping in Leo!

we used Harvard case studies at our classes and then some more local examples. yep, pretty much the whole 2 year MBA here.
The education revolution is here boys, I've been waiting for this for so long😭😭(Keep it up man, great content very grateful❤)
I have been unconsciously applying these points to my startup, the clarification and validation of their importance is super. Great content!
@jayhoovy1 boy if you don’t quit trynna scam
Your not paying for education, your paying for connections.
That's silly
@@Jacob-kb8hfthat’s not silly at all standford teaching is the same as NYU stern for business the difference are the connections. The people you connected with because that’s what matters.
I graduated with a business degree from davis and have learned more in this 30 minute video than I ever did in those years.
Appreciate the editing.
Helps in digesting the info.
One of the greatest videos imparting knowlege I have seen on youtube with a great breakdown. Thankyou for sharing the pointers.
