  • In 2003 german pioneers Einstürzende Neubauten invented crowdfunding by having their fans (supporters) pay for the production of their 2004 album 'Perpetuum Mobile'.

    I was part of all the supporter projects, including the Palast der Republik. Never got a chance to say to Erin Zhu that her contribution to the development of the web equals, in my opinion, EN's contribution to music. Their creativity for inventing new usages of the web deserves much better recognition.
    12 years after Severe Tire Damage inaugurated concert web broadcasts (I was there too), they found a use for it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Severe_Tire_Damage_(band)

    I guess that Einsteurtzende Neubauten dont like been labeled, but i would call it Stomp, And different genres og electronica and techno.

      @@StevanHolm Some archived material exists, but most of it was not archived. The quality of the first two phases is far from what we're used to these days.
