Vendors are not thieves by default. Most of them are just normal businessmen. There are, crooked cops, pedo priests, honorable criminals.. A lot of Vendors will go out of their way to give consumers exactly what they advertise, even ship out products while exit scams are in effect and they will not receive that money but know the customers have paid. Some will give you help on how to reduce harm while consuming.. It is a reputation based business after all. Drug dealers are rarely thieves, dealing pays a lot better and gets you less enemies than stealing from others. You can be on one side of the law or the other, but wether you do it horoably or not is up to you as a person.

It doesn't matter how safe you are, how trustworthy the people you're doing business with seem to be - It will almost always come back to get you. I have a feeling over the next couple years, they will bust a large amount of tor users, just for browsing. They are keeping all of this data, just waiting for a way to decrypt it. Once they have it, I assume basically everyone is going down.
