I know, they make everyone apologize first and put them on hiatus immediately instead of waiting for any sort of Investigation all because of some random accusations online, usually by Anonymous people instead of actual criminal charges or investigation of any sort. It's so bizarre to not have any due process... it's so unfair to all parties involved

Maybe if SM handled this scandal better people wouldn't question his innocence. I wanted to believe him, but I had to DIG to find the evidence to clear him. They made that whole documentary but still didn't include the necessary proof to clear him. It made things worse.

It's better to have a song as a slapback to the haters than a cheesy lovesong. (other idols do the same by the way) At the end he had to suffer a lot and it is understandable, that he wants to declare his position and show that he is strong.

First off Renegade is a BOP, Second he can sing and rap amazingly, Third He can dance his heart out. I bet in the next month or two those chart numbers for his new album will go up. Plus his debut as a soloist just started in the beginning of April, and we are still in this month so its insane to expect him to have higher numbers right now. And another thing I believe he's innocent, and SM failed to protect this man, he was stalked, verbally Harassed and he didn't even know who that Super Fan was. If I were Lucas I would've went to a different company. And the most frustrating part was SM made him apologize when he didn't do anything.
just leave him alone at this point. it was not particularly mentioned in the documentary but when he said that he had gone too far he meant that he had gone too far by exposing the saesangs. its about everyone's taste, you dont like the song, skip it. using strong words like "flopped" is a stretch. that song was mainly for him, he was narrating his side of the story. as a lucas fan, he finally debuted and thats all i wanted. just give him some peace now. he said during the first 6 months of his hiatus he had wrong thoughts (su1cid3l thoughts). and i dont want anyone to go through that so these videos must be stopped. i was a regular viewer of KOOKIELIT but this is kinda too much. being a big youtuber who gets a lot of views, this channel is influencing more people to post things like this.

He was on hiatus for 3 years he was literally inactive with no news about him at all, you can’t compare this to ppl who are active in their groups + going solo in between comebacks + doing multiple high profile interviews/variety shows/magazine covers & interviews.., he’s doing really well considering everything + he’s not doing any promotions as well, just the music shows which is bare minimum promotion. Give Lucas some slack, they’re making him come back slowly, he’s doing really well, his fans love him and support him, and he’ll continue to grow.
Leave it to kpop fans to complain that meaningful lyrics and real life messages are underrated and under promoted.
Then turn around and complain that the catchy unrelated song wasn’t chosen as the title track, because it “would’ve scored better” and “fits the usual vibe”

So I think the company are focusing on LUCAS rather then his album doing better. I mean after a HUGE scandal lucas came back on stage after 3 FREAKING YEARS so obviously promoting him a lot will be exhausting for him. He's trying to get back up so maybe they are taking it slow.
N also Renegade is a song that was more personal rather than the song being marketed to be one of the best sellers.
I think the company wants to take it slow with lucas coz it seems even with one fan supporting him he'd be very grateful and thankful from them. This could also mean that they are trying to build a healthy fandom that ACTUALLY supports him and be there for him.
And also personally I think its nly better for lucas to promote less n not be so popular for the time being. You can see that his true fans are with him and supporting him who just want to see lucas happy and at peace again. Taking it slow is the right thing to do ryt now coz he is healing.
Personally I listened to his album and waited for him eagerly with one reason being the documentary so I think that was good move.

The song Renegrade lyrics are so amazing. The music video , choreography, handsome lucas everything perfect . It has genuine views. So it is not flop at all.
I didn’t even know he dropped the solo but I think the other two song in the album 💿 is really good and I enjoy listening to it.
I actually Loved Renegade. I didn't view it as him being arrogant or anything of that nature. I felt it came across more like he is going to be ok no matter how hard people worked to destroy him on that hate train.

It’s almost as if SM had no intention of handling the Lucas scandal correctly after it broke. The missteps and omissions are just too numerous to count, and it has been frustrating to watch. The new CEOs may not be Lee Soo Man, but that itself may be part of the problem. At least he had the savvy and experience to keep SM on top. These guys don’t seem to know what to do, evidenced by the way their long time artists and best talent are literally running away from the company. RIP SM.

We didn't need the SM scripted comeback interviews, and I know Lucas did not write the songs in this comeback, SM chose them. I think promo was the main problem tbh I used to follow nct closely around 6 years ago but as time passed I noticed their music was becoming different then what I usually like so I stopped following them closely but since I felt close to some members like mark and Lucas and taeyong and etc I keep an eye on their music but didn’t see any promo for our Lucas ? Also since the track are English I think Korean fan may loose some interest coz if that but after all I wish the best for the Lucas he made me smile when I was sad hopefully he will get all the love care and attention he deserves
Personally I hope this allows him to push out of the kpop industry and gain fans from other avenues because I think the kpop industry is too toxic for him. I think his debut was fine. The song was fine, the diss was funny tbh. Lucas has copped enough s**t from people over all this stuff and everyone seems to just be complaining for complainings sake. Just because his sales weren't 'that great' doesn't mean he isn't going to do well in his career. Everyone needs to get over what happened and move on and just enjoy what Lucas has to offer. I still dont get it that why are people(haters) doing this i mean even started this a scandal is a scandal its not real thats wyh it is called this even if he did those things it is not like he was drugging and selling women or something like that he is a full growen adult now and can date anyone he wants to even if he ever cheated it has nothing to do with you haters why cant you make this much noise when a psycho kills a little kid or rapes someone why cant you use tricks like these to get them out of our society and into the jail why are you trying to make him look bad when you are the ones who are bad no you haters are monsters equal to killers it just makes me so angry that when he has done nothing bad still he is being treated like this, not just him many other idols such as Ravn from the group Oneus. Renegade is showing how he felt during all this period how he feels now and i am pretty sure that others with the same situation feel the same way too. Lucas did a pretty great job for a solo debut!!!! Like he's pretty comparable to the recent SM solo releases, and those soloists are much more established in the industry. Go check out the streams on the recent soloist MV released by SM. By comparison, Lucas didn't fall far below them. And its his debut! So i think the numbers are pretty impressive!!!
Idk how people expect him to be a million album seller when he just came outta a 3 year old hiatus + cancelled idol. I personally, didn't had a lot of hopes but he exceeded them. You can't expect an idol to exceed the already promoting solos of nct, it will surely take time but he'll get it.
i mean, if he isn't a strong dancer, strong rapper or a strong singer..... what's left? maybe stage presence but.... then maybe he only belongs in a group for visuals. no hate!!

How I feel after singing and streaming his entire song and his entire album everyday knowing that Renegade was a slap to all of his haters and seeing how they cant seem to handle him still having fans and releasing a bop so they have to resort to calling Renegade a flop 😂😂 Haters can't seem to handle him releasing an entire song in English because they realize they don't need subtitles to know that they are being roasted . My god....my boy didn't have to go so hard on y'all . I kind of feel bad for y'all 😩😩
You can't flop when you just debuted as an individual. This is the start of his solo career then what happens after thats when you can tell if someone flopped.

I can't bring myself to be a normal fan, of Lucas nor of NCT, I just despise their management so much. The fact that they think it's perfectly fine to abandon and isolate someone so much that their overall health rapidly declines, I hated that video he made, yes he felt ready to share his life with us again but knowing just how much worse things could've turned out makes my blood run cold. You can see the trauma the entire experience has left on him and I hold some resentment towards the members too.
