  • NGAD: US Sixth-Gen Fighter JUST REVEALED
The United States may have just revealed its most powerful fighter on… wait for it… Instagram! This should be the eighth wonder of the world firstly because it’s on Instagram which has never been done before but also because within the outlines of the fighter depicted in that image lies a network of technologies that the world has never seen and will probably never see but still would be considered the most advanced in history. This new fighter and everything it represents is the focus of this video - including its capabilities, costs, and its bustling social media hype.

It hasn't gotten past the testing phase for the proposals yet, never mind unclassified. That tweet was to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Skunk Works, whether the silhouette has anything to do with a future fighter the general public has no idea.

Look at that thing. Very cool. I watched the video with no sound, so I don't know what I missed. But it look's awesome. It looks like it has a very low radar signature. It looks very fast. It looks like it has a lot of weaponry onboard. It also looks highly maneuverable. It looks like it can coordinate very well with the assistance of other unmanned air vehicles.

I made a comment on RUclips a while back that America was 30 years ahead in aeronautical technology over China and Russia. I was told I was stupid and didn't know what I was talking about because both Russia and China had stealth fighters, well they really don't and this is why. Their fighters both have a radar signature of an F-18 and both recently came out, while the US released the F-22 30 years ago, and the F-35 a couple of years ago. Both American fighter jets are true 5th gen fighters that are in full service. Now the US is about to drop a 6th generation fighter jet on the world. I'm lucky because I get to see F-35 fighter jets in the air every day, and I enjoy it every day.

The Lockheed Martin-designed F-22 Raptor represented the world's first fifth-generation fighter when it took to the skies more than four decades ago. The formidable fighter, known for its tiny cross radar-section that makes it extremely challenging for enemy jets to detect, may be relegated to retirement pretty soon.

Unfortunately, it costs a lot per flight hour compared to other aircraft. The first block is considered "not combat-ready" by current standards, and would cost as much to upgrade as a new plane. A study of upgrading the others to current technology yielded the same result: it would be a better use of funds to buy a 6th-generation aircraft.
The dumb thing is, they're talking about buying only 200 of the NGAD fighter, thus setting it up for the same economic and utility issues the F-22 has. But here we're running square into our greatest national security threat: the self-inflicted wound of national debt. Two of the annual interest payments would pay for the entire development and acquisition costs of 300 NGAD fighters with money left over (assuming $200 billion for development, and $300 million per plane - much more than we spent on the F-22). Think about that the next time you want to invent, continue or expand a federal handout program.

After a career in the military and many acquaintances in the military contract side of it, the U.S military are always at the cutting edge of technology. The contracts are slanted towards adding changes to add cost. The contracts are usually written by former Gov't project managers that understand what should be included, and what should be LEFT OUT for maximum changes and cost increases. They are hired by the defense contractors once they retire from the Gov't. Yes, we do lead in technology, and the enemy so far has not kept pace with us. And there's not much of a chance they will as long as the machinery that makes the microdevices for us is only in Taiwan and the Netherlands.

The aircraft air intake, the main component of the engine air intake system, is designed in such a way as to ensure an efficient and optimal airflow into the engine during flight. Changing the shape of the air intake is an important task to reduce drag and improve flight efficiency. During the flight, the air intake is automatically adjusted to optimize the air flow. This is achieved by changing the shape or position of individual parts of the air intake. The process is carried out through the use of advanced technologies and automatic control systems. Such changes in the shape of the air intake reduce the overall drag of the aircraft and contribute to improving its performance, fuel economy and increasing flight range."

    1. If you look at the war in Ukraine and Russia right now we are still using ww2 weapon, digging trench lines, using tunnels, and same tactics we use to use in 1940's.
    2. It was shown that the Tracking RPG "The FIM 92 - Stinger" made by the USA in the 1980 is more effective in today wars then current ANY RPG and we are running out of it because we choose to retire the people WHO MADE IT instead of teaching next generation to create the same weapon we need today.
    3. Also F-22 is the best plane, but again we are making the same mistake in retiring people for technology that proofing to work in current modern era don't make the same mistake USA.

That's because it's called trench warfare, the Russians do the same strategy.

Imagine how much less each fighter would cost without the Pentagon having there fingers of corny capitalism of paying under the table. Save trillions and better equipment too. Cause companies would have to compete.

The U.S.A is the most & will remain the most Technological country in the World . Matter of fact most of the Tech we use today from the Microwave to the internet was founded by the military during projects and was outphased then got released to the pulbic. A vast majority of technology is Due to the innovation & dedication by Americans.
    God Bless the U.S.A !

I just watched a video that was titled Why The Airforce is Getting Rid of The Rapture. The video said because of money. How are they going to afford a 6th generation plane? They make these expensive planes and then cry and whine about price. Are they going to cannibalize the NGAD Planes also?
