Elixir is phenomenal. Old meets new, next level stuff.
Demachy's last work was done to perfection. Sauvage Elixir is a masterpiece of modern perfumery. It is a compliment beast.

I love the Elixir, just got it yesterday and used one spray it lasted for a good 9 hours. Even after working out I could still smell it.

It is definitely a great fragrance! I have a lot of niche fragrances and this one is right up there with them.
Walked into a Dillard's and immediately asked for the bottle. You walk into the store and it's the first thing you smell and it's amazing. Even after 2 weeks my watch still smells like it. The lady in the store was kind enough to give me a very small sample 👍
Fortunately, hardly anyone wears fragrances where I live so I don’t have to worry about fragrances like Sauvage being too common.
Seriously... everytime I hear someone say "Such and such fragrance is going to make you smell like your girlfriends ex" I think to myself: "That's hard to believe since I don't know any guys that wear fragrances."

I think it’s overall good performer a wel around all rounded perfume. It has 2 different scents one is the maturity and the wild side. Well balanced

I didn’t like the opening of elixir and walked out with a bottle of Sauvage parfum instead. A couple of hours later I went back in the shop and swapped the parfum for the elixir as after a while it smelt amazing. Very happy.
I am trying to avoid purchasing Elixir but I may have to. Great review! Good to see Mas again. He fits in on the channel beautifully.

I'm with Mas, I hate Sauvage, not saying it`s bad, I just don't like it, the first time I smelled it felt like a needle through my brain, but after seeing your review and multiple others and knowing that this one doesn't smell like the original I will definitely try it! Thank you guys!!!

Love the review! I just got this fragrance in 2 days ago. Been loving it far more than any of the other Sauvage concentrations. That beautiful spice facet is what attracts me most about this scent 🔥🔥🔥

Blind bought this. It really does smell amazing. Potent, and long lasting; just what the doctor ordered. 👌🏿 I had to buy a second bottle to keep just in case Dior reformulates this in a year or two.
I love the smell, but im not sure on buying the second bottle considering the price…

It's amazing. Smells kind of like oud for glory but without the funky death of oud note.
Tried it yesterday for the first time I don’t like Sauvage at all, but I do like this while it does retain a faint similarity to the original, the lavender is at the forefront for me and it gives it a fougere kind of vibe but not quite if that makes sense, it runs the line between peppery, clean and fougere like, quite unique right now but how long before fans of Sauvage get there hands on it and it become another over worn fragrance. Also once I checked the reminds me of section on fragrantica I saw Drakkar Noir and I can’t get rid of that association, it really does remind me of a more refined version of drakkar noir.

Thanks mate. I upgraded from my Canon to Sony a few weeks ago. I think because of the long room the background bokeh really makes the foreground pop!

Describing the original as screechy and piercing perfectly summed up my thoughts. Hated it and had to wash it off. Tempted to try this one though if it’s smoothed out.
I found a similarity with Layton Exclusif, I think this one is a legend in the making.
Smelt it and immediately got a bottle, it’s easily the best in the line and the performance is nuclear

Ya t got tired of Sauvage EDT, even though I liked it. Elixir is a great release. It smells almost like Tom Ford was given creative control over creating it.
The drydown is my favorite part. In the far drydown the sauvage dna comes peeping. I don’t think this will be the most popular sauvage because it is the most challenging and the least versatile version if you ask me.
Right I only get sauvage dna in the late drydown

I ordered it over the weekend, my bottle is supposed to arrive today, Looking forward to trying it when it does.

I have it already. To me it's the best of the line spicy and a bit creamy. But longevity is not good. It's overpriced at the moment, wait until price drops at least 30.
Dior always use the best materials, there is no compromise. I think this is the reason why they are expensive.

Dry heat of AZ, at high noon, it smells like pencil shavings and chocolate.
It's like a pumpkin spice sauvage without pumpkin.

This stuff is great from 1 second on till 8 hours later. Not even close to any blue type fragrances I've smelled. Niche level.
Mas’s gaff is class, that exposed brickwork. A very intriguing release from Dior, Sauvage has never been on my radar of interest, But this iteration definitely could be.

love your videos your are my favorite fragrence youtuber but i wonder why you never made a top 10 for gym/sports fragrences :O i know old brute would be the best but i look for an alternative. Im 26 and hope you can recommend me something for the gym. Im not a fan of the typical sharp citrusy or bright fragrences everyone els recommends like versace por homme or nautica voyage. I realy like the more dens and aromatic fragrences for autum and winter. So are there some gym scents that have a little more than just citrusy freshness i could wear? Is Azzaro Shine anygood or maybe jill sunder men? Maybe you can make a video of your favorit fragrences for sport/gym. Keep up your nice work
I wore Prada Luna Rossa Extreme for the gym recently and it worked a treat. Difficult to find though. You could try Carbon or even the new Cool Water Parfum.
Well i hate it initially however the longer i wear it the more i appreciate it. Definitely take some time to adjust... Maybe cos the initial spray is too strong but give it a couple of try and you will enjoy it.
The thing I don’t get is people saying it has no similarity to the EDT/EDP. It absolutely has Sauvage in there. It’s just loaded with lavender, too, and has a sweeter dry down. I just don’t know when I would wear this when I’d wear something like Beau Du Jour and I strongly prefer other fougeres to this…but this isn’t bad. It’s a nicer quality formal scent for an older guy.

Dior Sauvage Elixir is a beast, I tried this one & Paco Rabanne 1 Million Elixir side by side & Dior just simply buried this one in the ground. The only one this thing can be compared with is Bleu De Chanel Parfum or Amouage Interlude Black Iris I guess.
A lot of people don't even where a frag and when they do they don't spray it with the intent for it to last and they under spray. Before lunch what they sprayed on themselves it's all gone.
I’m with you Chris, I love the dry down as well. I’ll admit I wasn’t blown away on the opening and was actually a bit disappointed as I love the Sauvage DNA. But once you get to the mid and dry down, you can recognise the sauvage DNA a little more. I really like it now, bought two bottles 💪
I agree! But for 160 I have to love a fragrance from start to finish so this was a no for me!

I did loath the EDT, but that was the same when I smelled Bleu de Chanel and there the parfum was a winner for me.
Just bought one earlier. It is soooooo good. Just dont sniff it right away upclose because the spiciness is too much. Or maybe just me because Im not a fan of cinnammon. I wish dior wont fuck it up with reformulation.
I think this is similar to the Parfum version. I compared both on my wrist and sometimes they smell too similar. Both are good, I think I prefer Elixar >EDP>EDT> Parfum (doesn't perform on my skin).

Elixir seems to be a hit among the frag comm. Dior catered to every consumer in this regard. I do think it is hype
I feel like this is a mild niche version of Sauvage. I feel like Dior is trying to target people that are into designer fragrances and slowly introduce customers to higher end fragrances especially from Dior of course. If people enjoy this fragrance then they won't go back to standard designer fragrances and for Dior Private line that is only sold in Dior's boutique.
Get one more bottle Dior will definitely reformulate it right after releasing a new fragrance.
Great video and I enjoyed it and Dior sauvage elixir is the best one from the line and it's a 10 out of 10 in my opinion and I'm going to get a bottle soon and y'all have a blessed day
I am no expert, but it reminds me of Barber Shop style fragrances. In dry down it is similar to MFK Masculine Plurel.

(Yet) I really do not like Sauvage...But if i had to wear one it would be the Parfum...But now this new one i might actually like! I love when you too team up together...it just works...And i bet most people above and below me would agree!

Mark my words. Masterpiece. Best of year by far. beast longevity. Deep rich opening, mid, and heart. It transforms, it harkens back to the 80s or 90s when fragrance had POWER. gorgeous MASTERPIECE

I don't know if anyone has made this comparison but the elixir smells like a Stronger Jean Paul Gaultier In The Navy in the opening. I was smelling my Gaultier and was thinking. where have I smelt this and immediately grabbed my elixir and was like I can't believe this🤦🤦🤦

Ok smelled it today, really great! I disagree on recommending this only to those who dislike Sauvage as in the video. Pretty sure anyone who likes Sauvage will also like Elixir. At least I do :) This is one to smell on the skin for sure. Drydown on paper seems brighter/fresher and quite metallic to me, in fact more similar to Sauvage that it really ends up being on skin. On skin it still has some distant Sauvage blood, but it is clearly something else. Warmer, stronger, woodier, spicy ambery, yet smoother. One excellent scent and a great release from Dior, imho! Very well done, Dior!
PS. Forgot to mention drydown does have a smooth licorish tint, very nice and elegant.
My bottle arrived today, also from Escentual with 20% discount. Best from the line by some distance. I forgot to add that it reminds me a little of Zaharoff Signature. Does anyone else get that comparison?

Does the bottle have 6 a six digit batch code ? I got my bottle from the uk and it has 6 digits instead of the usual 4.
I went to my Dior branch they told me it will take a month for it to be available. I can see great impressions so fat can't wait to sniff it!

For me it has a decent projection and longevity is 6-8 hours. I sprayed it at the airport today on my wife and she really likes it. She also loves the OG sauvage.
Dior should make a 100ml version of this!

Spicebomb night vision sample did come with my Elixer. You do get a whiff of elixer in there, but mostly invictus. Iiked it. Seemed liked a great summer clubbing scent.
The drydown of elixir is similar to layton pdm.that’s why i like it.
It's the best on the line,, nothing like the previous flankers the you can smeel a bit of Sauvage parfum in the drydown. Spicy and kind of creamy. But duration is not good, don't believe it's lost lasting like he says on the video. At current price it's very overpriced.
It’s 10pm and I smelled a whiff of it from my neck after spraying it at 2pm. That’s good longevity to me
I wonder how this works with …sweat. As in at the gym. Some just go to hell when mixed with sweat 😂
My experience with this edition is negative overall. The drydown is great but the top notes and projection are not impressive - at least not impressive enough to justify the higher price
Have to agree on price. £80 would be a good, fair price.

They all serve the same purpose. It's literally like picking White Chucks, White Stan Smith's, or some off brand white sneakers. It's personal preference

Great video. One input. If you want people to give you a first impression, don’t talk over them. Let them speak up first. After he got to smell the fragrance for the first time, you started showering him with your opinions which can subconsciously affect forming of his opinion. Next time, please, ask questions and listen first.
