I love so much "Le Mâle Elixir" ❤ but i find that "Sauvage Elixir" is the best of the range. It has this little something more than the other versions of "Sauvage". I understand why so many people love "Sauvage Elixir" : It's more mature, classier with a dark and wild side, and lasts a little longer than "Le Mâle Elixir" if i'm not wrong. But i have to say that i do prefer the sweeter and rounder side of JPG's perfume. It's very sweet, intense, strong, but very well done (to me).
Recently sprayed le male elixir twice on my arm , didn't shower but could smell it 16 hours later. Smells amazing after drying down. Cant decide if i need it after buying le parfum

As a 25yo man first i bought Sauvage Elixir and really love this and keep it all winter. But when i tested JPG Elixir in august i just fall in love with this scent. Yeah it sound way cheaper and cost cheaper but for me it's waaaaay more better than Sauvage because of sweet. I think Sauvage for more older man, this fragrance is sooooo masculine and imho for 40yo businessman in suit or something xD JPG for more younger and less masculine mens and it's have waaaay more versatility

I wore Dior savage elixir yesterday and had a compliment on it and I generally never get compliments on my many colognes. I only did 2 sprays and it lasted all day!
I got both of these bottles on the same week (a month ago) and I do like the JPG one better. I've only ever smelled Sauvage Elixir in the store before. My roommates have Sauvage EDP and Parfum, and JPG Le Male Le Parfum so I've quite accustomed to their "DNA" of sort but I do love both of these a lot just more towards JPG.

I have a really good collection and these two late bloomers really dominated my parfume preference. You can smell like Le Male Elixir for a day and you would feeld pretty f******g awesome. That smell is just so smooth, inviting and relentless in projection and performance. But, Sauvage Elixir can really be put into Niche category. Presence, dominance, energy and that warmth, inviting smell is just irresistable. However it is true for both , everyone will remember you the day tomorrow since everything you touch or get close will smell "Elixir" the next 24 hours. Both incredible, and both a must own. Totally different smells and vibes, yet they can only be compared to each other in designer houses' fragrances.
Agreed. Never smelt anything like it. It's well worth the money. I've never smelt a fragrance that has blown me away like sauvauge elixir. 2 sprays max and your going to be smelling great wherever you go for 12 hours easily. It's insane performance abd such a cold weather beast

I asked to women which one they preferred and they both chose JPG and they definitely didn’t like Sauvage elixir, it was on my skin one smelt it 30 minutes after I sprayed the second woman smelled it 2 hours after spraying. I haven't gotten a wiff of jpg le male elixir sure it's a powerhouse but sometimes the overly sweet stuff leans feminine. I tried swy intensely (not same category I know but for example purposes) Absolutely hated it, smelt too sweet and unisex/feminine to me. Younger guys can get away with it but as I aged as has my taste in fragrances.

Dior elixir is another level compared to JPG's. On it's own JPG elixir is awesome fragrance too. No mistake having them both along with Scandal le parfum.
When I smelled sauvage elixir it straight up smelled like a regular fresh fragrance with some sort of medical herb and it was not nice at all, jpg elixir is now my second favourite of all time behind the og LE male from I think 95

Hmm sauvage elixer is my least complimented fragrance I have. JPG le parfum, Eros parfum, chanel bleu parfum, tom ford nior extreme parfum, paco rabanne parfum and ysl y edp have all gotten a ton of compiliments. I also owned sauvage edp and parfum and they got me more compliments as well. To me sauvage elixer is on the level of pdm carlisle smells good in small sprays but not compliment pulling to mass public.

I trully think Sauvage Elixir is the best Perfume of them all. Its literally unkillable (its been through more than 12 hours, swimming, showering and its still have a good smell in 1 foot away) and on clothes it will stay up to more than 2 weeks (it was sprayed on light jacket) Sure creed aventus, de maley layton is and others is nice but I bet it wont be a beast in terms of smell and performance. Sauvage Elixir smells like a niche because its quite different from the usual Sauvage line Smell is a 9.5 for me Sillage/projection is a 12/10 Longevity is over 9000 😂😂😂 Trully a masterpiece
I have sauvage elixir and is one of my favorites of all don't get me wrong le male elixir smell fantastic untill you let it pass at least 30 minutes in my opinion.
This test is irrelevant as JPG changes so much on my skin over time. It's like Le Parfum, then the honey makes it more complex, then the tabaco takes over and it dries down dark and mysterious. ( at least that's what I got when I tried it on skin)
I have both and Jean Paul Gaultier is far nicer to smell than Sauvage. There is a reason why Jean Paul Gaultier is called "The Master". He has some of my favourite fragrances of all time. Next topic of conversation....
Its logical most men prefer le male cause its sweeter...women in general prefer masculine scents...sauvage elixir is amazing although ive had a girl tell me once its too strong...never get intimate wity a girl right after you spray it wait at least 5 hours hahah that stuff is too strong especially first 2 hours but after a few hours it leavrs a heavenly scent....the point is to use sauvage elixir when going out at night or cold weather , especially for dates or restaurants it gives a heavenly projection, if you expect people are gonna be too close to you or closed environment you might hear complaints in first few hours...bottom line if used right i rate as one of the best fragrances out there and no mor3 than 4 sprays max so its economical in case yiu think its expensive...usually 3 sprays are more than enough unlike most other fragrances
I appreciate Sauvage Elixir like I appreciate art, but I don't appreciate it as a fragrance. It's a great smell, but I hate smelling it on people. It's so loud and offensive for anything but very special events. It also screams middle eastern spices to me, and find it weird smelling it on white westerners. Just my two cents.

Smelled sauvage elixir for the first time today, severely disappointed, I absolutely hated it, imo jpg elixir, Invictus elixir, and ysl elixir r all significantly better
Remember Michael Jordan's last shot sealing the 6th championship, his last with the bulls? Elixir is the same for Demachy, sealing greatness before retiring from Dior. Francis Kurkdjian's work is very bland-boring-overpriced for me so do expect him to ruin the fragrance with the next reformulation. The fragrance that is without doubt my most complimented ever.
@@FRAGMENTAL It's just a fact ;) I've worn it at least 5 days a week in the last 18 months and still not bored of it, still want more, and still pulls compliments almost every occasion. Elixir was the fragrance that fully stopped my interest in buying more expensive and niche sents, which cost 2-3 times, as it ticks every box. Just cannot be beaten.
They cant even compete, majority of le male line are such a dated fragrances, sauvage elixir is far superior, just for the record, fleur du male is my fave fragrance

I know that I generally prefer a smell that I smell when I'm fresh.

When you ask non fragrance heads what fragrance the like dior sauvage the original is right up there, it is something about the dna so I can see why Elixir version did well against le male elixir

I trully think Sauvage Elixir is the best Perfume of them all. Its literally unkillable (its been through more than 12 hours, swimming, showering and its still have a good smell in 1 foot away) and on clothes it will stay up to more than 2 weeks (it was sprayed on light jacket)
Sure creed aventus, de maley layton is and others is nice but I bet it wont be a beast in terms of smell and performance.
Sauvage Elixir smells like a niche because its quite different from the usual Sauvage line
Smell is a 9.5 for me
Sillage/projection is a 12/10
Longevity is over 9000 😂😂😂

Sauvage Elixir higher quality but the scent itself I don't really care about, smells old. Le Male Elixir for me all day.

I have sauvage elixir and is one of my favorites of all don't get me wrong le male elixir smell fantastic untill you let it pass at least 30 minutes in my opinion.

The JPG magic starts on skin. On paper it smells ok
This test is irrelevant as JPG changes so much on my skin over time. It's like Le Parfum, then the honey makes it more complex, then the tabaco takes over and it dries down dark and mysterious. ( at least that's what I got when I tried it on skin)

I have both and Jean Paul Gaultier is far nicer to smell than Sauvage. There is a reason why Jean Paul Gaultier is called "The Master". He has some of my favourite fragrances of all time. Next topic of conversation....

Sauvage smells good but it gives me a headache, stuff is so strong
Its logical most men prefer le male cause its sweeter...women in general prefer masculine scents...sauvage elixir is amazing although ive had a girl tell me once its too strong...never get intimate wity a girl right after you spray it wait at least 5 hours hahah that stuff is too strong especially first 2 hours but after a few hours it leavrs a heavenly scent....the point is to use sauvage elixir when going out at night or cold weather , especially for dates or restaurants it gives a heavenly projection, if you expect people are gonna be too close to you or closed environment you might hear complaints in first few hours...bottom line if used right i rate as one of the best fragrances out there and no mor3 than 4 sprays max so its economical in case yiu think its expensive...usually 3 sprays are more than enough unlike most other fragrances
I appreciate Sauvage Elixir like I appreciate art, but I don't appreciate it as a fragrance. It's a great smell, but I hate smelling it on people. It's so loud and offensive for anything but very special events. It also screams middle eastern spices to me, and find it weird smelling it on white westerners. Just my two cents.

Smelled sauvage elixir for the first time today, severely disappointed, I absolutely hated it, imo jpg elixir, Invictus elixir, and ysl elixir r all significantly better

Remember Michael Jordan's last shot sealing the 6th championship, his last with the bulls? Elixir is the same for Demachy, sealing greatness before retiring from Dior. Francis Kurkdjian's work is very bland-boring-overpriced for me so do expect him to ruin the fragrance with the next reformulation. The fragrance that is without doubt my most complimented ever.

@@FRAGMENTAL It's just a fact ;) I've worn it at least 5 days a week in the last 18 months and still not bored of it, still want more, and still pulls compliments almost every occasion. Elixir was the fragrance that fully stopped my interest in buying more expensive and niche sents, which cost 2-3 times, as it ticks every box. Just cannot be beaten.
They cant even compete, majority of le male line are such a dated fragrances, sauvage elixir is far superior, just for the record, fleur du male is my fave fragrance
