My ex husband & I had 2 children …he was absent most of their lives due to moving on with another woman & I was super pissed he wasn’t involved but NEVER THOUGHT of anything like this!

Yes, imperfect people do imperfect things. No doctrine of the church I have ever followed has taught me to hold myself above others, to think I am a prophet, justify murder or abuse. If people follow the doctrine that is taught, then they will be good citizens. The church tries to regulate members and try to get them to repent of wrongdoings which every single one of us commit day-to-day. Yes, leaders have done wrong things and are eventually caught. Human emotions get in the way. Bishops and Stake Presidents are lay individuals and sometimes they don't believe something happened. They are lay people as well, and they don't understand everything. The church doesn't have cameras in every home and every therapy session. In fact, LDS people will say for themselves that those that get off track are often worse than ever embracing the doctrine. I have seen this.

He only said he didn’t think it was financially a good buy. And they already had a 1.5 million dollar home. Everything I’ve read about Eric is he was a great guy. When he met her, he was worth 3.5 million. He met her when she was working at his local Home Depot. She was a checker there. She even had a ghost writer write a book about the 3 precious boys losing their father. She hit Eric’s sister because after his death, Kouri hired a locksmith to try and steal $160,000. She was arrested for assault. Now she’s sitting in jail for his murder. Eric and his best friend owned a very successful masonry business. She stole lots of money from him. Thankfully Eric had figured out what was going on and went to see a divorce attorney. He moved all of assets over to a trust and his sister is the trustee for the sons. I‘m sure she thought she would find „someone better“ after she cheated and broke up with him. It appears to me she just married her new husband to show him „look - I can get somebody as well“. And what a catch she made, getting involved with somebody who was evil enough to hire a hitman for the father of his own step children… Absolutely devastating for the children in this case. Not only did the 2 year old have to see her own father being shot down(!) but she and her sister have to grow up without their dad, knowing that their half siblings will have to cope with the fact they lost their father and the person responsible is their own mother… It‘s sickening. I cannot even fathom the pain these children are going through. I just hope custody of the twins is eventually transferred to Jared‘s parents, their paternal grandparents. That’s the family they should and need to grow up in, if they ought to have a chance of healing. From what I‘ve seen of Kristen she seems like such a loving and wonderful woman, I‘m sure she would take in those kids with open arms. They are victims just like her and her own kids.
Really sad story. Similar situation happened where the mom was shot execution style in her car by hired hit men. The father and his parents got tired of all the money they spent and gave and my friend wanted more and more money. It was awful. Her in-laws bought the house , bought everything and my friend wasn’t happy with half so more money more court time. It all makes sense to me when you see how people get over money . Looks like Shannon Gardners family bought everything and supported them early on in the marriage and Jared got his good paying job after. Reports I read was he still wanted more in the divorce and child support and Shannon money was her parents so they had to pay Jared. Shannon did not work. This is what happen when you deal with crazy , you can end up dead. Sad for kids and families .
Just to add my friend who was shot dead by a hit man was 25 years ago. Her mother in law got life sentence and the hit man and his driver got lesser sentences. Her ex husband never got custody of their son . My friends older mom raised her son and the son has never had anything to do with his dads family to this day. My friend wanted more child support and more that she thought she deserved. We told her to stop with going to court and more money. She had a good job but the divorce was bitter since her ex husbands parents paid for everything and it was a family business. So sad but this has been going on for a long time. Social media and internet is just reporting on it nation wide and world wide.

I know! They need their own prison now. I think it's because mormons practice the prosperity gospel. Many of them are super rich and they love money more than god and each other. What do you mean by the church? Are you talking about the general authorities of the church or local leaders? I am glad you said that they "seem" to turn a blind eye. Yes, imperfect people do imperfect things. No doctrine of the church I have ever followed has taught me to hold myself above others, to think I am a prophet, justify murder or abuse. If people follow the doctrine that is taught, then they will be good citizens. The church tries to regulate members and try to get them to repent of wrongdoings which every single one of us commit day-to-day. Yes, leaders have done wrong things and are eventually caught. Human emotions get in the way. Bishops and Stake Presidents are lay individuals and sometimes they don't believe something happened. They are lay people as well, and they don't understand everything. The church doesn't have cameras in every home and every therapy session. In fact, LDS people will say for themselves that those that get off track are often worse than ever embracing the doctrine. I have seen this.

Check out the story of Kouri Richins. They were Mormon. She murdered her husband with fentanyl poisoning! She was mad because he wouldn’t buy her a 22,000 square foot home. He only said he didn’t think it was financially a good buy. And they already had a 1.5 million dollar home. Everything I’ve read about Eric is he was a great guy. When he met her, he was worth 3.5 million. He met her when she was working at his local Home Depot. She was a checker there. She even had a ghost writer write a book about the 3 precious boys losing their father. She hit Eric’s sister because after his death, Kouri hired a locksmith to try and steal $160,000. She was arrested for assault. Now she’s sitting in jail for his murder. Eric and his best friend owned a very successful masonry business. She stole lots of money from him. Thankfully Eric had figured out what was going on and went to see a divorce attorney. He moved all of assets over to a trust and his sister is the trustee for the sons. And Kouri lied and told law enforcement that Kouri was on drugs, which is a huge lie!! I think Court TV has some videos on the case. Edit- They lived in Utah.

Her codefendant (her husband the gym janitor), charged with the same charges and also being held without bond, was forced to appear in his prison wear because an attorney paid by a super rich Mormon family paying an attorney $200,000 a month have clothing sneaked in for him at the last second. This is grotesque and completely embarrassing to our justice system. She stood there and smiled in her black suit while her codefendant was on prison garb. Yes, this nonsense affects juries - exactly while scumbags like Baez go for these stunts.

I think Jared was happy and Shanna couldn’t stand it. He found a beautiful 2nd wife, nice home, good job and relationships. Shanna was likely miserable with her choice and realized the grass wasn’t greener. When she couldn’t hurt him by taking the kids away from him, she had him unalived. Typical spoiled brat behavior…always wanting everything. If Jared was single and miserable I believe he’d still be alive today. But he was thriving and Miss Missy wasn’t having it.

I‘m sure she thought she would find „someone better“ after she cheated and broke up with him. Once she realized he wasn’t just going to disappear out of her life because he loved their kids and wanted to be a present father, she grew more and more resentful, eventually realizing what she had thrown away, especially once he married his new wife. It appears to me she just married her new husband to show him „look - I can get somebody as well“. And what a catch she made, getting involved with somebody who was evil enough to hire a hitman for the father of his own step children… Absolutely devastating for the children in this case. Not only did the 2 year old have to see her own father being shot down(!) but she and her sister have to grow up without their dad, knowing that their half siblings will have to cope with the fact they lost their father and the person responsible is their own mother… It‘s sickening. I cannot even fathom the pain these children are going through. I just hope custody of the twins is eventually transferred to Jared‘s parents, their paternal grandparents. That’s the family they should and need to grow up in, if they ought to have a chance of healing. From what I‘ve seen of Kristen she seems like such a loving and wonderful woman, I‘m sure she would take in those kids with open arms. They are victims just like her and her own kids.

Really sad story. Similar situation happened where the mom was shot execution style in her car by hired hit men. The father and his parents got tired of all the money they spent and gave and my friend wanted more and more money. It was awful. Her in-laws bought the house , bought everything and my friend wasn’t happy with half so more money more court time. It all makes sense to me when you see how people get over money . Looks like Shannon Gardners family bought everything and supported them early on in the marriage and Jared got his good paying job after. Reports I read was he still wanted more in the divorce and child support and Shannon money was her parents so they had to pay Jared. Shannon did not work. This is what happen when you deal with crazy , you can end up dead. Sad for kids and families .
Just to add my friend who was shot dead by a hit man was 25 years ago. Her mother in law got life sentence and the hit man and his driver got lesser sentences. Her ex husband never got custody of their son . My friends older mom raised her son and the son has never had anything to do with his dads family to this day. My friend wanted more child support and more that she thought she deserved. We told her to stop with going to court and more money. She had a good job but the divorce was bitter since her ex husbands parents paid for everything and it was a family business. So sad but this has been going on for a long time. Social media and internet is just reporting on it nation wide and world wide.

I have an uncle who was wrongly imprisoned for 27 years for a murder he didn't commit. He was only recently freed after help from the innocence project. Just because Shanna’s family has money, it doesn’t mean she has access to it. Pretty sure they will stand behind her & pay for representation, as well as caring for the grandchildren. The Gardner’s are a large close family, however Shanna appears to be the black sheep of the family.
Oh she has access to the money alright. Her family supported her and Jared the whole time they were married. They regularly received a stipend from her parents exceeding $8,500 per month.
not sure if you're familiar with them, but I assure you they give her access to all the money she wants. they have funded her misdeeds since she was a child... it's all in the name of "preserving the image," which is common LDS culture... can't make the church look bad, can't make the family look bad... so she knows they will do anything to make their family name look as clean as possible, hence the PR person.
