Holy shit Tesla’s were so ahead of their time man, can’t believe I didn’t know about them back then, loving my Model 3 Performance! Can’t wait to see the company grow even more! 😄🥳
people applause when the NewYork times appeared in the display, because a journalist recently made a testdrive and was negative... later it seems he deliberately drove past charging points
and 8 years later the Revolution has began......Amazing
Yup
just watched this again for a bit of nostalgia :)
I am Elon's uncle from South Africa. Watching these old videos makes me really proud of him. Keep going Son.
Elon Musk is the best entrepreneur in the Whole World. He's my role model. Was really pleasure meeting him.
@WiiAreSIN Yeah, they're nice, but when we'll see them at the dealreships?
And what range can you travel with them with one charge?
insane car isn't it!? gotta get that car!!!
The WOW FACTOR!!!! has come to the auto industry, Thumbs up Tesla!
@olimorc I believe it turns off those functions when driving and becomes a big GPS.
Love music super good
wow! finally good looking forward new thinking. Jihaaaaa. This is gonna change things.
Love you so much godbless
I want one so badly !!!
@idontcare80 and I was always taught not to fiddle with knobs or dials even when driving, full stop. One would wager that the important controls are still easily accessible, and the irrelevant crap like checking the stock exchange requires you to pull over. Besides, voice activation is a great addition that makes up for it.
@FelixRaven Not that I disagree with you on the Tesla but have you seen the BMW-i?
The i3 and i8 are just damn beautiful.
what a boss
I love Musk. He change the world
@FelixRaven the i3 goes on sale next year but has a measly 100 mile range.
The i8 goes on sale in two years but it's a range extender Hybrid. Competing with the likes of the NSX and Fisker.
true hero!!!
Love the screen, ALL cars should have this.
wish granted
good point
oh please bring back the model S 's regular sunroof... a sunroof that opens!!!
best car ever
I absolutely love Tesla Model S! I'm only little bit worried about the central console screen. It looks very nice but then you loose tactile feedback for when you need to change setting while driving (turn on/off AC, increase/decrease fan/heat/seat heater, hazard...) unless Tesla thought about that and actually integrated those features into the steering wheel?
Did you ever end up getting one? Or any Tesla?
The only thing I worry about is repairs. If I bought this how could I service it?
Progress that nobody thought would ever be possible
I love my 2024 model 3 long range
Will you be able to watch youtube videos on this? Can flash player be added?
OttawaNow no... streaming was removed for safety reasons
You can do it now. But only while parked
@Hirotoro4692 That's true. I have a friend who converted his truck to run on H and all of his home appliances. Logistically speaking though H is a nightmare. Shipping, generation, lack of infrastructure, pressure etc, there are simply to many hurdles to consumer adoption. While there is already a robust electrical system where energy is available on demand. Energy density is truly the issue and that's where hydrogen wins, but once we crack that nut it's an all electric future.
@idontcare80 all the basic functions can be adjusted from the steering wheel as well, like radio, volume etc. I think the screen is mainly used for things like internet, GPS and tuning in on a certain radio station, things you wouldn't do while driving anyway. And if you needed some of the options on a longer ride, like road trip etc. there would most likely be someone next to you to do it for you?
did he says bahrain in 1:21??
How did he go from this to hyperloop
not a single dislike! that is unusual!
Nothing like reading The New Tork Times while driving on the highway!
@jamesstylers To further my argument how little power the touch screen uses do some simple maths.
assuming the touchscreen lasts 6 months on battery power if it's left running 24 hours a day without being plugged in, will last roughly 4,416 hours.
Divided by 1.7 (hours full charge will approx an average speed 70 mph for distance 125 miles)
You get 2,597. So every 2597 full charges depleted from driving = 1 charge depleted by touchscreen.
0.03 MILES are lost, per 125 mile trip...
Anyone in 2022? Today Tesla is most Valuable Car Company
yep I love my brand new 2022 model 3!!! it's just as cool as an S has the amazing features dog mode, sentry mode!! other neat features love it 💯🔋😁👍😎
If Steve job and Elon Musk work together then they can rule the world
@LordKelvinThomson I agree. Not only is a truck the perfect application of the electric motors extreme torque, it would also lend the whole ev segment a significant level of credibility in the consumer space. The bed would provide ample battery space and the weight distribution would be balanced much better than ICE trucks. Also the premium truck market is quite large. I know they are developing an SUV, but I would much rather see an aggressively styled truck like the Ford Raptor.
Wow, 12 year old comment. Your vision has finally come to fruition with the Tesla Cybertruck. Do you plan on getting one?
This is Awesome to watch again. I wish the best for Elon Musk and all the Team on SpaceX and Tesla.
Sounds like you got really good Music Taste Elon =p
Driving around and listen to Rolling Stones, Elon I'm in 110%
Badass
God bless you all
but what about air play
Who’s here during the covid-19 lockdown..
@jubudiba That's petty how it sums up, but a shame for not having a toilet in the boot (trunk).
So it is a laptop on wheels without a toilet?
@gullenator1 hydrogen is more suited to heavy goods atm.
how about now?
please Mr Musk, Calm down, we are with you.
@FelixRaven Let's just call it chronic corruption instead of conspiracy. Because the word conspiracy makes it sound like it's unstoppable.
Ron Paul 2012.
I want. I want. I want. I want!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i wish this car come to india... sadly it will never come.. coz of the cost and the company is in in us... and Canada
Where's the kitchen sink?...
Ho yer... it's in the touring version.
It's the DB's -
UK slang for Dog's Bollocks (the best) not Aston Martin DB series.
In 2021?
I think they do have some knobs manipulation.
Right, so you're complaining that the touch screen on the Tesla Sedan, that can last 6 months if left running by itself, will hinder the kilometres the range when people go for trips in the car? Yes it will but on such an infinitesimally small level that it's not even worth THINKING about.
Did you even watch the video?
does this mean dogecoin will go up?
"from consumer electronic's going to the car, the car is so far behind" If only my house was as smart as this car... Tesla Home that includes a model S, roadster and model X with solar power ... please sell me 1 for under 1 million in vancouver please !
Hotel of California =)
0:16 - Did this mf really just say "fit-and-finish"? I'm surprised he even knew about such term...
The Apple of automobiles.
HOW MUCH BETTER DO YOU WANT IT!?
@AndrewChan84 You're right, and this isn't even one of the biggest conspiracies. This is only a seagull on the tip of an iceberg...
@Hirotoro4692 People WILL play with this thing while they are driving, there is no debate. It's stupid.
Still stupid? Lol
@@theonlybanan2306 Yes, still stupid.
I will own this car. Even 15 years from now, not one car manufacturer will match this one. I mean it's all electric, way cheaper than BMW and Mercedes, 8 people can fit in it, it looks sexy, it's smart car, it has internet for god's sake!
''Even 15 years from now, not one car manufacturer will match this one.''
We are 7 years in, and big car companies are still struggling.
Volkswagen: Has 30,000 cars with faulty software sitting in the rain.
Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes-Benz - These so-called ''Tesla killers'' are not Tesla killers.
BMW - Is still showing off shiny concepts and produces one electric car - A futuristic-looking urban car with not so great range and horrifying depreciation.
GM - They have the Bolt, also not a Tesla killer.
Porsche - The Taycan is great in performance and handling, but not that great in terms of range and weight + costs twice as much.
Ford - The Mach E (''competition'' for the Model Y) doesn't deliver on specs for the price.
Did you bought a Tesla finally ?
Next, they need a truck...new battery technology (e.g. 3d, organic, etc).
It's INSANE that other car manufactureres still haven't come close to something this advanced!!! This was in 2011 fuck crying out loud! WTF!
@idontcare80 And this is also stupid since it draws power for nothing, power that could be used to make extra kilometers instead...
Steve Jobs really does know how to get a crowd excited.... but I wonder how the late pitchman Billy Mays (think of "Oxi-Clean") would do in selling this Tesla...
@murc111 yes, maybe idiots deserve to crash, but in most cases idiots are crashing into non-idiots...what they do not deserve (i think)
UI design 11 years ago is so different from what it is today... I can't imagine making those design choices today 🤡
Nah, wait until 2014, when they plan to release project Bluestar - an affordable 20-30 thousand dollar electric car.
this comment didn't age well
@@avocado682 AGREEEED
Aha! so this is why you had to make this car so safe...because the driver is able to check anything on internet during driving? Congrats.
my next car will be a Tesla...I bought a Hyundai Elantra 09 loaded so when I get my Tesla, I'll be blown over
Anyone thinking about making an app for controlling the car remotely, after solar panels, cameras, and sensors are added...? 'My name is Bond, James Bond
100th comment
I love Tesla and everything they are doing, except this. Having a touch screen in place of the typical knobs and buttons is really, REALLY stupid. A driver should be able to manipulate these controls without looking, with touch alone. This will create worse problems than drivers texting when they should be driving.
Huh, this comment didn't age well. F--k Tesla and it's Orwellian telescreen cars.
@@PistonAvatarGuy lmfao
I'll say.
I anxiously awaited several years for this car to come out and finally got to see the interior and dash.
For $50k minimum, display and touchscreen aside, even with carbon fiber trim the dash is very disappointing. The dash looks "off" somehow, managing to somehow evoke the "1970's". While the rest of the exterior and interior is sleek, elegant, and clean, the dash looks clumsy, plain, and ugly. The dash needs to be redesigned/"fixed" ASAP or it will remain a deal breaker.
ok bro
@@me044shallen9 Need to clarify/update that since then our office got a few Ys to replace ICEs in fleet. Satisfied to say expectations were met. Personally, will continue driving current ICEs until breakdown, after which I'll be buying Teslas, as we do not yet have PVs
10 years later my car still has a useless infotainment system
)))) iPad for 60,000 dollars
Now with a free bonus car!
So now I have to replace the car every four years because the tech becomes outdated.
That's why he's stuttering.....
This car makes all the hybrid cars (even future ones) obsolete. Makes great car manufacturers' (like BMW) attempts in electric car development pathetic.
Congrats!
@tesla can i get a tesla? your pick... lmao
if only there was Steve Jobs around to sell this car.
Not a public speaker...
But a great innovator
Unfortunately, the evolution of the electric car, is rife with politics. You should tell the government to get their political shit out of electric cars instead, and stop the Ovonics battery patent encumbrance that killed the EV1.
