I actually really enjoy how absurdly good Vileplume is in lower tiers. Always fun to hear that Pokemon who couldn't cut it in OU had a good life anyway.
Vileplume is still my fav Pokemon, dun care about it's tier status. It's so cute AND based off of a Corpse Flower that literally secretes a substance that smells like an actual rotting corpse.
How OUTCLASSED BY VENUSAUR was Vileplume ACTUALLY? Also I like that he is self-aware about saying unfortunately all the time and now making a gag of it :D If Vileplume had Quiver Dance Venusaur would have serious competition. Then Venusaur's only advantage would be its higher bulk and immediate speed which would keep it as the superior Growth user. Or a strong STAB that raises speed. Like Rapid Spin does now only Rapid Spin still isn't super strong.
Vileplume is a Nuzlocke champion, it's why it's one of my favorite pokemon. You're almost assured to get it in any game it's in, too. It's recovery and bulk is always useful and the poison type is useful against most games' huge number of fighting trainers.
*sees that Vileplume’s SpA got buffed* Well what do you know, looks like GF does know how to properly buff ‘mons all along (laughs in Staraptor’s SpD “buff”).
@@goGothitaLOL Though you would notice, both Nidos do more damage with LO and SF using their special movesets; Earth Power, Sludge Wave, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Flamethrower etc. I mention Nidoqueen specifically since Nidoking having Megahorn gives reason to fun physical, Nidoqueen (If I remember FSG video correctly) prefers Black Sludge and runs Stealth Rock and/or Toxic Spikes with its two STABs, usually always Earth Power and Sludge Wave so the SpA buff would have mattered
I've always felt like Vileplume was heavily underrated. This video was mostly comparing Vileplume to Venusaur, but I feel like its true competition is Amoongus, which only got about a 10-second explanation. Other than HP, Vileplume matches Amoongus pretty well stat-wise. Amoongus just beats it with its ability and spore, which is all it takes sometimes. Make no mistake though, Vileplume having strength sap is pretty insane in its own right. I had a Vileplume in against a Crobat in a random battle baiting the brave bird and it was absolutely hilarious watching it switch out because there was no way Crobat could win. Shoot, forget regen, I think if you just give Vileplume spore, it could match Amoongus imo.
Rn strength sap is an amazing tool so it has its niche, I'd just maybe give it more HP and sp def to make it truely bulky. That and maybe giving it leech seed back alongside effect spore
@@yourdailysadisticfolkfromi6619 I didn't say Vileplume was the only one that got it. I just said it got the move back by egg move. I know alot of grass types get the move. I used alot of grass types but my favorite poison and grass is Vileplume. Venusaur and Roserade are second and third.
One of my all time favorites, since I was a kid. I also really like using one competitively, because most people don’t realize how good it is. I obviously use a chlorophyll one in the sun, with stab sludge bomb & stab one turn Solar Beam. It’s also one of the few Pokémon that gets the move Strength Sap, which recovers A LOT of HP, as well as lowing it’s opponents attack. When I saw this I thought to myself, "this has to be the last fully evolved gen 1 pokemon he hasn't covered yet". Then I looked at the national dex. Butterfree, Raticate, Fearow, Arbok, Venomoth, Primape, Farfetch'd, Dodrio, Hypno, Electrode, Kingler, Hitmonchan, Lickitung, Seaking, Mr. Mime. Given, I don't need a video to know how half of them turned out.
@@lyokowarrior2545 Primape is fairly good in lower tiers, but sadly Arbok is absolute garbage, which is sad cuz it looks badass. I would personally give Arbok stat buffs in Attack and Speed, and maybe give it some more bulk, and maybe also a Dark type to reduce its weaknesses to just Ground.
I actually love that this is one of the few OG Gen 1 mons that, despite all the stupid ridiculous power creep, and despite having been outclassed by the MANY same type Pokemon that litter the Pokedex ever since the very first Gen (I mean seriously, the only pure Grass was Tangela!), despite everything going against it, it managed to actually slowly get a bit better and better at what it uniquely provides to the Pokedex with its own merits. It may be a bottom-tier lifer, but it will at least be good enough to use in those bottom tiers.
I used to use Vileplume as a counter to Groudon/Primal Groudon. If regular Groudon, BAM, instant Solar Beam. If Primal, I play the defense game, leech seed and strength sap especially if it is a Sword Dance user.

Will always be my favorite pokemon. Dont care what anyone says I love this guy! :D
Ya it is the best gen 1 mon. But not the best grass type. There is one gen 5 mon which also has a fairy type...
Mine too
I actually really enjoy how absurdly good Vileplume is in lower tiers. Always fun to hear that Pokemon who couldn't cut it in OU had a good life anyway.
Vileplume: Who are you?
Venusaur: Im you but stronger
I guess we need to vote in Belossom for next week.
Dat gen 4 part with the frowning sprite when you say tragedy struck actually stung for me even though vileplume is not my favorite
Vileplume is still my fav Pokemon, dun care about it's tier status. It's so cute AND based off of a Corpse Flower that literally secretes a substance that smells like an actual rotting corpse.
Yay! Another Vileplume fan!
How OUTCLASSED BY VENUSAUR was Vileplume ACTUALLY?
Also I like that he is self-aware about saying unfortunately all the time and now making a gag of it :D
If Vileplume had Quiver Dance Venusaur would have serious competition.
Then Venusaur's only advantage would be its higher bulk and immediate speed which would keep it as the superior Growth user.
Or a strong STAB that raises speed. Like Rapid Spin does now only Rapid Spin still isn't super strong.
I'm waiting for the second upload today 😃
Same
@use code nation I bet is that weak and frail bellosom XD
How good was Hypno actually? We gotta finish the gen 1 mons
Hypno is a fan favorite in darker sites

Idk why but your voice perfectly suits these types of videos and it's so soothing im so fucking wierd ajajajjajaskjsjs
Ah yes, Vileplume, aka Nuptup, the undisputed MVP in ProJared’s Nuzlocke Run of Fire Red. She is pretty straight baller.
Omg yes someone else knows about nuptup
All hail lord nuptup
Saying Nuptup is oddly satisfying
Vileplume is a Nuzlocke champion, it's why it's one of my favorite pokemon. You're almost assured to get it in any game it's in, too. It's recovery and bulk is always useful and the poison type is useful against most games' huge number of fighting trainers.
Was Projared the dude that was molesting a minor or something like that?
The fact these newer videos are doing Gen 8 features, okay!! 👏👏👀
*sees that Vileplume’s SpA got buffed*
Well what do you know, looks like GF does know how to properly buff ‘mons all along (laughs in Staraptor’s SpD “buff”).
*laughs harder in Roserade's Def buff*
Cries that Nidoqueen got Atk buff instead of SpA buff
Cryogonal: "At least I can survive bullet and mach punches with my major DEF buff, right!?!"
@@sebarsht12 same with Nidoking, but he's kinda already strong with Life Orb and Sheer Force
Is ridiculously handy, there should be more moves for other types to balance this
It does have Leech Seed back, it's an egg move now. More Hp and sp def would help out and maybe a little more defense.
@@speedyav46 bruh, almost all grass types has that move, the main stalling move for sweeps with non evolved Pokemon lmfao
For her last move, she has MoonBlast for coverage, but you can give it something like Sleep Powder, leech seed, etc.
I use it as a wall to tank a lot and yes strength sap OP, especially as wall. Get ugly mushrooms and medusas out of here
I would love to see a remake for Charizard, since it was the first pokemon to be talked about
4 minutes late finally here without notifications! Also False Swipe Gaming your content is amazing don't stop making this!

**Vileplume cries in HGSS / BW2's PWT**
I find it great vileplume and bellossom had a rivalry. You know those two Oddish stood there eyeing each other. Measuring each other up
Also maybe we can get ferrothorn in here, you mention him every time gen 5 comes around
Ferrothorn: the movie
Ferrothorn: The Book: The Manga: The Anime: The Game: The Movie: A tale of how one mon became immortalized into competitive OU history. Starring: Al.KAZAM, S.K.Armory, C.O.R.Viknight, Ty/Ranitar, APEXTOX, W.H.Rotom, ProNinja, Garius Chomp, and LANDO T
@@matthaisstupidus cleft fable
When I saw this I thought to myself, "this has to be the last fully evolved gen 1 pokemon he hasn't covered yet". Then I looked at the national dex.
Butterfree, Raticate, Fearow, Arbok, Venomoth, Primape, Farfetch'd, Dodrio, Hypno, Electrode, Kingler, Hitmonchan, Lickitung, Seaking, Mr. Mime.
Given, I don't need a video to know how half of them turned out.
We might as well wrap up all of gen 1 with the last few remaining mons, how GOOD was Primeape ACTUALLY?
And Arbok too!
We need to chat about Venomoth.
@@cintronproductions9430 is my dream
@@cintronproductions9430 even venomoth outclasses arbok gen 2 venomoth was uu. But there it was banned. So it dropped to nu. It was excellent
Can you do how good was Golurk next?
I used to use Vileplume as a counter to Groudon/Primal Groudon. If regular Groudon, BAM, instant Solar Beam. If Primal, I play the defense game, leech seed and strength sap especially if it is a Sword Dance user.
I’ve always loved Vileplume. Oddly enough, I’ve always liked its design more than Venusaur. Both are obviously way too similar in design.
Yeah, they both remind me of Rafflesia flowers, but Venusaur is a toad with a Rafflesia on its back while Vileplume is straight up a sentient walking Rafflesia.
@@cintronproductions9430 Funnily enough, Vileplume's name in French is literally Rafflesia.
@@JLMetak LOL nice discovement, makes sense for it's name XD
@@cintronproductions9430 Venasaur is a hybrid from a toad (BRUH) and a obvious Dinosaur, but with vegetal details :T
