Honestly at first i thought it would look kinda weird, like a volcano in the middle of ur front yard. But u knocked it out of the park with all the Beautiful plants and logs/tree branches 👌
When winter comes and the plants die, it will be back to a weird volcano
You know, my absolute favorite part about this build is that you put so much effort into using resources that people generally throw away. Fantastic use of the logs and cut branches to help with stabilization of the pond itself. That AND you tied them all together to make it look like what it is. Amazing work on this pond, I love the ingenuity. Great job my friend 🎉
My dude!!!!! You are truly an inspiration!! I started losing my passion for doing things in my yard, but ever since I started watching your videos my passion has come back. Thank you for all you do!!!
I think your excitement in this project was what made it worth watching
Looks amazing. I would never have thought you could build up & make it look like it belongs there. You did a fantastic job creating such a beautiful space love all the plants as well.
Thank you, building it up definitely is more difficult and resource intensive for sure
❤ love to watch you build these times and shows your love of nature by chance are you a landscaper you seem to have a huge knowledge of plants my daughter wants to have a pond in her front yard to I'm thinking about that for
Beautiful! I got the same pond for $25! A store was going out of business and I scored big time. The pump was included in the sale too! I purchased it over the winter and now watching you do the magic you just did you've inspired me to get to working on mine.
$25 is a great deal!!! I definitely recommend you put your pond in ground, building up around it is way more work than digging if you can.
Oh my gosh I’m so excited that you built a pond in the front yard. Last year I looked at your backyard pond and I went and built a beautiful pond in my backyard yard. I had your video playing, it turned out great! I emailed you the pictures. Now I want to do a front yard pond! Great job Paul!
Wait, what is your email. I may have missed them
🤩🫶🏻 by far, your pond exceeded my expectations.. the plants, the stones…I need a pond in my life. My guppies would love it! ❤
this dude is somehow hood and hippy simultaneously. I dig it. lol
Love love love this build, Paul! You're giving me so much inspiration and motivation for when I eventually build my own first pond : ) I'm so excited!!
Getting started is sometimes the hardest part tbh! Start small and work your way up to something bigger is my recommendation!
@@paulplantu Thank you so much! That is exactly what I was thinking of doing : ) Especially since I'm doing it completely on my own! I already have the spot picked out and have been researching and planning! I'll probably wait until next spring or so to add fish just to make sure the pond does well and keep away the kitties who live outside : ) Thank you so much for your videos, Paul! You've been so helpful this past year in helping me beautify the house we bought!
This was such a great video! The commentary had me in stitches😂 The verbiage was top tier, thank you❣️ "Earth is my Plan-et"
"Earth is my planet too!" I love the outdoors, I love water! You've given me a little more confidence to try this in my yard!"🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
This is the best pond build I've seen period. I've been wanting to build one but all of the diy pond pics I've seen have not been really inspiring. Your pond build is spectacular! ❤
Oh Paul at first I thought what is he doing, but you made a beautiful master piece of a pond and garden paradise for wild life. Very creative, amazing and just stunning. I love it!
Never enough ponds ❤
This was the most beautiful thing. I usually skip to the main build but I was immersed from start to finish. Real definition of being creative and just using whatever you have! Great job man!
Absolutely love the way the pond came out!! The wood logs really make the finishing look. Looks like something out of a fantasy movie
Thank you!! Yeah the logs helped out tremendously
I started watching your channel from your last (first) pond build. I can tell you've learned what you like. This is super beautiful. 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻
This was so beautiful! I imagined some woodland fairies peeping through. Just gorgeous.
This came out amazing definitely one of my favorite DIY pond builds I've seen love the way you integrated all of the different plants together to mesh so well!
Thank you so much! That’s one thing a lot of ponds miss are the plants!
Master gardener at hand 😂
The amount of variety your pond has! Amazing! The bees and bugs will be very happy :)
Good job filming while creating. When you watch yourself work this hard twenty years from now, you will really appreciate this beautiful pond. It is amazing!
Wow! I must say I think that big root did you a great favor! It looks absolutely amazing like that and you can see so much more of each plant when they are viewed in levels and not on a flat spot. 👏😍🙌 Well done Paul! Love from Sweden, Martina 😊
It's always a pleasure watching your vids. When I think a garden isn't in the budget, you and lowes' clearence plants give me hope! Thanks for the awesome content.
Fantastic!! Love the use of native plants and consideration for wildlife.
Not me gaslighting myself into thinking I can do this😂😂😂😂 thanks for the inspiration though!❤
Love how far you've come, definately looking forward to future builds.
Your pond builds are beautiful! You are such an inspiration and so much fun to watch!
i really enjoy these type of videos, ive been looking for a typa creator who made these typa videos but much dont meet the vibes n your videos are entertaining and set the vibe, i appreciate you bro keep the content going love this shit
Heck yeah, that’s what I like to hear! There’s a lot more coming soon
WOWZA Paul. That looks absolutely INSANE. Gorgeous, gorgeous water feature! Thanks for showing us the process!
I usually hate those prefab ponds (it's hard to make them look good), but with the way you did the plants and everything actually makes it pretty decent. Also if you're ever looking to do a full in ground "real" pond, you should look at billboard tarp liners. Super budget liners and about as good as the crazy expensive epdm liners.
I want to do a large in ground recreation pond but all my trees definitely make it a bit difficult.
@@paulplantu You've got a pool underground just waiting to be dug up lol.
@@wtfyoumeaninvalidTruuuu I’m a little afraid they may have collapsed it in… only one way to find out though! Hahaha
Trust the process! I was so skeptical but man am I glad I stayed to see how it turned out. I thought it’ll be this huge odd hill but my god guy u got a gift my friend! Looks amazing I’ll definitely be taking notes on this. Great job
Always mad inspiring watching these!
All i can say is WOW!!!! I love your videos, thank you for sharing all of your wonderful ideas and hard work.
This is one of your sickest projects yet. Looked like a lot of work but my gawd it be looking majestic
Of all your beautiful projects (and I watch them all!), this is the one with the most immediate, high-impact visual appeal. What I'm saying is, it looks great! I'm inspired!
This came out amazing! The hubs and I are getting ready to completely redo and expand our pond area. Given that we're just a couple hours from Houston, along the coast, your use of native plants only has inspired me to do the same! Planting can be hit or miss here, given the extreme temps. Thanks for sharing!
I came here for some inspiration for my DIY pond and hoping to give my turtle a cool tropical oasis… lol mannnnn… this has exceeded my expectations. The commentary, the insight, the aesthetics… let me go ahead and see what I can find for free.99 to start the process. 😅
Man I gotta build a pound in my back yard. Just cultivated the back to grow a micro clover yard and wild flowers. This heat in Houston has been killing my yard work haha.
Yeah planting in the summer/right before it requires a lot more watering to get the plants established. Just get em through the heat and they’ll be good to go after!!
Satisfying and so beautiful!!!!!!
Love the green pump I put one of those in a 29g bio cube through a Uv sterilizer flow was amazing water stayed crystal clear
Your front yard pond looks stellar!! ❤ love it! Nice work!!
Me, whilst enjoying this video & taking notes: "This guy is a maximalist, isn't he?"
Hey, if you're gonna go nuts with something, it might as well be with plants and nature! Heaven knows the wildlife appreciates it! I also got a hard liner on clearance at Lowe's and will be doing something similar :) I've got to tweak some things to make things less permanent, as I rent, but I look forward to trying regardless. Thanks for sharing!
a beautiful pond with fish in it and surrounded by interesting plants and flowers, what more can I say, a beautiful work of art for good mind therapy
Plantu doing it again! I watch all your videos and Appreciate all your work. You’ve got a way of spicing up areas in ways you wouldn’t expect. And being here in the Houston area, I get a lot of plant ideas from your info. Thanks for the knowledge
I love it built up so you don't have to dig a big honkin' hole!!! All the plants around it is great. I love this "I found this big ass rock on the side of the road'!!
Very inspiring man! I love your energy and imagination! Looking forward to seeing the fish!❤
What a beautiful pond build. Loved the process. ❤
This is the coolest way to build an above ground pond...thanks for the inspiration...
Thanks for watching!
That turned out awesome! Looks amazing with all the plants grown in. I'm sure the wildlife is gunna love it too.
Loving this build!! ❤ can't wait to see the updates on it.
WOW!! Beautiful.
It turned out gorgeous. Great inspiration! Now I want one!
I had high doubts 4 minutes in. Was I ever wrong! 😂💕🔥
This video inspired me I’ve been wanting a pond! It looks amazing!
Wow! Love it! 🌿
DUDE!!! 😍🤯 Outstanding job!!
So cool to have been watching from the start of your journey really dope Paul Plantu keep it up my boy !!
If you're worried about predators, just used a wire mesh right on the surface of the water. Keeps the fish in and any predators out.
You are so talented! Your videos inspire me to have my own outdoor pond and bring wildlife to my home❤
Awesome!! I have two ponds. One in a whiskey barrel and another surrounded by retaining wall bricks. I have fish in just one but I think I’ll put fish in the other one. Really enjoy them.
Amazing work! Gorgeous! You do inspire me to keep trying to upgrade my yard over here sourh of San Antonio. You always telling us what plants you are using helps give me ideas of what to look for. Thanks and keep up the great work!
Bro you smashed that. I wanna put on in my front yard.
Ridiculously creative. Gorgeous.
Appreciate your efforts on reusing whatever things you could 👍
Great job.
THIS is SO STINKING COOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
TO HAVE AS A PART TIME JOB 🙏🏽✨
Just bought a house.
Came with a fishpond with 9 variety sized Goldfish in it.
Had no idea what to do or how to care for it.
Do now.
You´re a rockstar!
Truly amazing. Love your use of the logs and found materials. It looks stunning.
Thanks! I’m just cheap tbh 😂
Dude!!!! Good job!! Hard work totally paid off.

that looks great!
really nice work 👍🏾
This turned out great man! Looks awesome..love it all.
Great job, looks amazing and will continue to get even better with age.
Stunning.
Fantastic! You know your stuff!
What a beautiful pond!
That was fantastic. Thanks for posting!
This is so wonderful! Not sure if the fish will make it, with cats and everything that goes outside, but you could probably get more hiding spots as you see fit. Beautiful pond!!
😍🌹🌺🌼🌱
Pleasure to watch. Looking forward to the quarter year update. And Errth IS our planet! 🎉
Absolutely beautiful! Job well done 👏
I'm so glad I just found your channel. I LOVE this pond. So pretty with all the plants. I want one 😊
I just love your videos. Awesome job. Thank you for the smile.
Nah you killed it! Looks good 🔥🔥 love these videos 👍
It looks fantastic and I'm inspired to try a small one in my backyard.
This man is a complete master 🙌🏽
My dude you have outdone yourself
Dope pond🙌
But as for protection for your fish, there is a sprinkler sensor that will spray water when bigger animals get to close to the pond. Bamabass did it awhile back ✌️
Wow! So awesome, thanks for the inspiration.
Can’t wait to see how all the plants fill in! Looks great
Some of them already are huge only a month in! I may honestly have to take some out 😅
Love your creativity and your energy! Always happy when you post a new video 😁🌱🌳💚
Yeah this one took a while to do and edit but I’m glad you enjoyed it and were patient!!
Absolutely loooove it!!!!
Happy to have stumbled across your channel! I used to follow your other one too! This was an absolute masterpiece! Smashed it!
You Sir. Are an artist. Great Job. 👏
Honestly, this is my kinda DIY pond, and hour's is the only one I've found so satisfying according to my ideas and plans. Currently I've got a little tank with 4 snakeheads(don't judge me, I'm from India and these amazing fishes are not invasive, but indigenous to my country and I freaking love those fishes) but they're outgrowing the tank so fast and I've been brainstorming for an upgradation for so long, but never found one as satisfying as yours.... Thanks a bunch man, appreciate it a lot, and am definitely gonna keep a good track of your channel😁 Thanks a lot again......
PS: I'm not saying this 100 gallon tank is gonna be enough for my little ones, but it's better than what I have right now and I'm definitely not gonna stop at a 100 gallon, I'm gonna need something near 400 gallons.
This is absolutely divine. Congrats. New sub.
I love this idea so much I added to my playlist ❤️🔥🤟🏽
It looks amazing
Wow Paul, this was amazing!! You should start a side gig designing and installing ponds around your area. Really beautiful stuff!
Came out beautiful! Nicely done on a budget. I’d be a bit afraid with all your plantings it might get overgrown looking. But if your like me selective pruning can maintain it. I can’t believe your lily pads grew that fast from seeds. I’ve tried lotus tubers with no luck . I may just try seeds and see what happens. Nice video!
Yeah, I may have to trim some back eventually. The lily pads were super easy to grow, the bag of them was like $7 on Amazon
@@paulplantu how long did it take for them to grow to that size?
