"When you are over level 50 you are invested in your character" - me, already heavily invested in my level 14 undead warrior: "Alright."
Any character over 10 is investment. Died yesterday on 23 priest :( highest so far. I GO AGENE
@@TheLazySpoiledKitty I LIVE! I DIE! I LIVE AGAIN!
Level 12 paladin so far. I'm trying to remain aloof, but that's difficult.
Lvl 21 mage so far and I already don't know if I can handle my char dying with how much care I leveled my professions and my overall character progression. Didn't do a dungeon yet but I'm about to try my first WC, hopefully I don't die
My paladin died at level 14 to a crocolisk swarm in Loch Modan.
since I'm watching guzu's HC videos, I've realized 99% of the population playing HC literally click their abilities and play like it's 2004 all over again.
Same. At first I thought HC would be just a bunch of players who have mastered the game and memorized every dungeon, every enemy spell and the shape of the ballsack of every mob. Turns out its mostly just clickers with clear lack of common sense (Lets go through the middle of the Gnomer hallway).
What's the matter with that? You usually use more skills than 10.
@@ffarkasm ???? What point are you trying to make
@@ffarkasm so What ? U got only 10 Keys on ur keyboard?
@@alexbrestowski4131 that one way or another you have to click on skills, because there are not that many places on your action bar to push all keys with your left hand.
You can make some custom key binds, but the opportuniy is very limited, because most keys have default purpose already.
I still feel like 90% of the HC deaths I've seen could've been avoided simply by not panicking, running and then aggroing a ton of extra mobs.
I admit I never did HC mode and not sure if I will but I been playing and leveling holy priests since vanilla in late 2004. I didn't play non stop but when I would come back and in classic wow i leveled a few more holy priests. I get what you mean and I'm not bragging I just mean I know my class well. I know healing and bubbles well. Sometimes I take on multiple mobs at once like I think I'm a paladin but I survive because I'm used to what to do. I see some healers in groups freak out and some times when I heal people are like man you gonna heal me? I'm like you're at 97 percent you don't need a great heal lol. I can top you off with some renews and lesser heal. I always tell people that Vuhdo at least always makes health bars look less then what they are in the regular party icon so you just over heal galore.. I wanna try HC mode but probably with a different class for a challenge. I also am used to playing shamans and totem swapping to run from mobs with ease. In real life I struggle with anxiety at times and freak out but in WoW I like when shit hits the fan because it tends to calm me down as a healer and I like the action
@@DannyP-dm1pw fyi paladin is worse against multiple mobs than priest in most situations
that rogue died cus the healer sucks
Wow hardcore end game is death
I feel like 90% of the HC deaths I've seen look like the players never played classic before trying classic hardcore tbh...
The insane amount of pressure on the healer in hardcore is too much for my anxiety.
I was thinking the same thing. I've enjoyed playing as a healer in the past. 0% chance Im doing it in hardcore!
Would be awesome way to troll asshole players and just not heal them
Tell people to pull slow and safe and make sure you always have mana.
Going balls-deep multipulls as if it's no-consequences-retail is stupid if you're trying not to die.
its not terrible if you dont play with idiots
he played very bad tbh
I love that every death in hardcore evolves to a murder mystery, where everybody analyzsis the footage to figure out what happend :D
this is why im going to 1-60 by myself and just enjoy leveling out in the world..
That smooth brain 48 warrior should've ran 10x earlier.
Imagine playing Hardcore on a game where you put the life of your character into the hands of other people... 😅😂
What does this mean? like how do you actually lose your character?
@@Moseswasagod If you die on hardcore your character is lost and gone.
He is not barefoot. He has leather boots from Zerillis (rare in ZG) which is one of the top prebis for rogues and hunters 💙
Teammate dies
Hunter: *mouses over loot roll*
Priorities haha
just found this channel and now im addicted to hardcore classic and guzu videos lol
Thanks Guzu my rogue is almost 60 and these videos and a notepad are keeping me from grouping with some real Popogos
I have hit 60 twice and one thing for sure is by Gnomeregan you should have a good list of players with brains who you can level with in future dungeons.
You can be that guy. Zanzil Skeletons don't know how to swim. It hurt me so much watching him run up the shore RIGHT NEXT TO THE OCEAN. Honestly, not his fault though - doesn't matter how long you've been playing, chances are there's things you still haven't learnt about this game.
Thank you! Someone who realizes that some people might not know every ins and outs of this game. This is how you learn, trial and error. It's not an exam where you have to study before, it's a game.
@Blue Shadow unfortunately for the warrior, nothing in this experience will teach him that they can't swim.
Those skeles killed my 45 hunter the first time around.. they followed me literally till the buccaneers and then i died. They never break. Ill never forget. Rip
Did you try swimming?
That dwarf healer piss me off, the rogue get sacrificed and the next 3 heals in a row done by that stupid dwarf is all over the place except the one person he needs to heal. And everyone is shouting at him cuz one little flashheal on the rogue is all he needed to do then he could go afk with a job well done
I would only join 5 man dungeons as a healer myself.
I get that. Grouped for rfc and sfk and added those people as friends but they’ve all passed on. Found a team for gnomer and have run razor and SM with them only. I trust the group and am wary of randoms.
@Raccoon Yes they were. I should’ve said “new randoms”. It was a lower end dungeon. As the stakes / level rise I’m particular. There’s some real horror stories. Rather not run the dungeon and just try for 60. Are you on bloodsail?
From my experience healers are the most vulnerable and are the likeliest to die sadly
I've pugged all dungeons to 35 with randoms so far and it's been fine. Everytime we have crushed.
@@1Br0cK That's until you get this paladin in your group and tops it off with a "Pfff" when he kills you
Nice dispells on the SWP there , sums up classic hardcore skill cap
yeah I mean...paladin doesn't have aoe heals...so just cleanse the pain. That was some of the worst healing I've seen
Love these vids! Glad to have found them. Hit 40 on my rogue today!!!!
Much better positioning during Saytr boss could have been used also. If boss is tanked right next to the broken pillar you can LOS those sacrifices all day by running out of LOS behind pillar. Also as another comment mentioned using vanish to duck the cast.
I feel like we see a disproportionate number of rogues because they are easier to "survive" with while leveling.
rogues are very subject to one-shot mechanics. all it takes is pulling threat one time....
@@ChairmanMeow1 Yep. Rogues have like the worst armor/health/defensive vs an actual boss who hits hard. So if they get surprised with a crit it can oneshot them if the boss swaps aggro
I recently leveled a priest alt in wotlk, and did do the entire Battle for Hillsbrad quest chain. It's a bit weird as far as quest chains go, since I think it retains its designated 'level 26' difficulty throughout its course, even though by the time you assault the town hall and the mines, you're fighting against lvl 30 enemies. The quest chain can be started prior to getting to level 26, naturally, which means that you can actually progress in the quest chain to a point where you need to fight against enemies that are more than four levels higher than your character. I wonder if this misleads the hc players into trying to complete what should be an 'easy' quest as far as level indicators go, only to be blindsided by goibons and backspawns. Or do they just find themselves to be too invested in the quest chain that they try and grit through the ramping difficulty, instead of stopping and coming back a few levels later?
And it doesn't help that talents are garbage in Classic, in WotLK a Warrior can clean up this whole area in like minute with revenge spam and LoS.
u have to go back to hillsbrad multiple times, absolutely 0 reason to finish that q-chain in 1 go, yet i see every1 doing it
pretty sure i saw some retail player do the searing gorge quest that makes u fight the lvl 50 rock elite that basically requires 3 lvl 60s to kill, and ofc he died lol
I don't know about HC nowadays but when I played HC on pserver in my experience you are exactly correct. A large amount of deaths for about lvl 15-30 were exactly because of this, people taking on quests without being prepared for mobs that ambush you or arrive in at higher levels than you'd expect. What you noticed with that Hillsbrad quest is a great example. Though usually people who get past that point are familiar enough with questing that 40+ often dies to either disasters in dungeon or from a nasty mob in open world (especially elite patrols in Silithus)
wotlk ? lol
Rogue def has the boots from the Rare ZF spawn in the first clip
that first clip hurt to watch
That team combo is the very definition of Safing. 2 tanks/off-tank pet while 2 rogues pulling and bursting ready to yeet that aggro. At this point the hunter is simply there for the occasional trap or to throw on bandages.
That rogue did do something, he chose to run a dungeon and do a boss with a sacrifice mechanic, with a numb nuts healer.
how is the rogue supposed to know that the healer is clueless ?
Would be willing to bet this healer doesn't have debuffs on his ui. But yea, it's scary doing HC dungeons when people get this far while not knowing their class or dungeons at all.
@@mrsrandommademedoit3387 It's more like a person has to prove themselves not to be clueless more than hoping they aren't in a sketch dungeon.
@@InnovativeAspirations You can vanish the cast so you don't even get CC'd. Very simple mechanic, especially in Classic with a massive batch window.
@Raccoon dumb asf
First War used death wish, at the end of the fight, he wanted to die to be out of HC. And the second one : sweaping strike use a lot of rage, he wouldnt have killed both
The clip at 12:00 is too much for me, this is literally the exact spot and way i died at 46.
I had a bad day, just wanted to check in on some guildies and told myself i really should not do this quest, because i knew it can fuck you.
well... Rest in Piece my old Paladin. I had like 6 skeletons on me and panicked, not even using lay on hands and they just would not deaggro.
cant you just jump into the water?
@@Exbozz Well yeah, if you know the mobs cant go into water lol.
Guzu's clips really want me to pick up a HC challenge..
..BUT I am in an internal conflict if I'd rather put my 1 life in the hands of a potentially incompetent healer OR tank.
I wish I hadn't noticed that you said "right" at the end of every sentence but I did... then it is too late " riiiiiiiiiiiiiight" :D
First clip the pally heal just needs flash heal keeping everyone above 50%
LOL, i lost it when u played it back and the paladin was healing himself, never gets old.
I'd be stressed AF being a healer on a HC server
That happens a lot with new healers they get tunnel vision and only click on the tank and themselves
Yeah, you cant trust pubs in hardcore, cant possibly be stupid enough to hand my dozens upon dozen of hours invested to a random group of potential idiots who dont know mechanics and waste my entire hc run. You group at your own risk, the smart ones dont.
I think there's a certain type of healer who think dps who need heals must be standing in fire and so deserve to die.
This gives me anxiety as both a dps and not wanting the responsibility of healing.
Yeah, I remember in early days of classic I struggled to keep people alive during the sacrifice as a holy paladin because the damage took me by surprise. At that point I'd already played a holy pala on Kronos. It is understandable that he failed, but on HC you really need to be 100% prepared for stuff like this.
He let everyone get too low by allowing pain to tick, cleanse is instant and blocks a ton of damage. That healer was really bad
it says you arent allowed to group on the add on so how d o you group for dungeons?
.... and where is best server to play it so there is actually others
It's so funny how tanks and healers think they have some sort of privilege to do whatever they want/tank the boss whatever they feel like even if the rest of the group suggests to tank it someplace optimal
2:55 Gonna go on a limb and assume the healer meant "/p fffffffffffffffff" but hit "p" twice because of a typo and his failure to heal the rogue was him panicking when healing and was clicking trying to heal, but was fidgeting around so much he misclicked. That said, I could be giving him the benefit of the doubt.
The warrior in Hillsbrad cave failed the first 3 rules of hardcore: clear, clear, clear. He should have killed those 2 mobs before charging into the named.
As a warrior you don't have many options other than a hard commit. Every fight is literally victory or death.
@@FoMScratch 2 of those mobs were a separate pull though because he didn't clear
He had some room to move backwards also which probably would of helped him not pull anything
Thank you Guzu, very cool.
Yup. Played a Warrior all through Classic. It's maximum suffering and maximum satisfaction and there's no real in-between.
I died at level one on one character because I didnt realise hunters dont auto transition to melee combat once mobs get into range, and I had turned to talk to the wife, that grell ended me easily.
At least you learned the lesson without losing much lol
what server and region was that 1st clip at, cause I think I was there at that time playing a warrior as a non hardcore.
Fun fact, grounding totem and searing totem count as a sacrifice... everyone should los the boss when they know it’s coming.
Also fun fact! most are playing on Alliance...
@@ganjatrooper7193 lulwut?
these are always fun to watch
Aloha bro good content haha reminds me of vanilla everything looked crazy and could kill you makes the game more fun and more serious , might have to roll a new character and come back 🤙🏽👊🏾
“They can frost trap, they can kite…”
*laughs in no ranged weapons achievement*
Looks about like me on my first warrior in 2005. Thats why when I replayed it later on i rolled a druid
LOL, the moment I saw that Ragnor dude attack the mob I knew he was toast. Those mobs back in the day didn't leash. They were relentless, you had to 'no path' them to get away.
My theory is that the Healer and the Rogue are married and the Rogue didn’t take out the trash this morning
Last one, If we can learn something from this, don't stop running until you're out of combat.
guzu pronouncing osteoporosis made this video worth.
Would the warlocks ss or shamans rebirth work on hardcore?
And that’s why my tanks snd healers level so quickly, I am often five to seven levels lower that the party lol
What nameplate addon is the hunter on the first clip using? Ive been looking for it for weeks!
Sounds like my hardcore run so far...click half my spells/pots..no addons...read quests...it's like I'm playing vanilla wow or something 😂
The other rogue seemes to be getting chunked as well, wonder if thats his friend and he opted to keep him self and his friend safe.
hunt is cold blood is just chilling looking at the loot
That healer should be blacklisted. what an awful player
Has a holy Paladin main in classic beginning vid hurt to watch 😩
Lmao the last death the skeletons left a book for him
mean the food crate?
Ragnar needed to pull that zombie with a bow/gun, the drag him back to his corner instead of charging
10:00 Ragnar warrior, this guy deserved this 100% ! he was completely Unware of the danger he was in. This is Hardcore buddy, take care and be ready.
Hello, which server do they play on?
That roge got trusting issues now for sure
That first clip is why I could never play hardcore. Imagine being 3 levels away from 60 and dying because another player in your party is bad.
I'd say take some ownership of the issue and find out next time if your team knows what to do. Don't put all the blame on the other guy when you can solve the problem yourself.
@@cloud9847 "Take ownership of the issue and solve the problem yourself." -your healer who's standing still while you slowly die to a DoT
@@Post98w make sure your healer knows whats up before you go into the raid where you depend on them? Take some of that ownership? Run over the expectations with the healer before going in? Or does none of that sound like a good plan to you for your HC character that's about to rely on a healer? Make no mistake, the healer was messing up.
@@cloud9847 Or the healer could take the initiative of learning the 20 year old dungeon beforehand when the consequence of their failure is the loss of a character someone's invested hours and hours into. "If your healer is incompetent you're partially responsibly for their failure" is an amazing hot take.
@@Post98w considering that wasn't my hot take...I'm not surprised you don't understand my simple message. Anyway...you have a good one bud.
that was the first thing i thought of on that warrior clip, FEAR ffs! :O
That healer should quit.
the moment the sacrifice comes and the tank is on the boss, he had to boost his def with his cd´s so the heal havent to carry about healing the tank for a while, the moment before the sacrifice comes, the heal has to heal up quick everybody to max afap up
There is a reset behind the boxes just behind miner hackett.
Guzu is such a backseat gamer xD
Are the EXP rates lowered for HC? Im confused.
That paladin straight up let that dude die. Huge F for the rogue, he's never trusting that healer again
The guy with the skeletons… even if they wouldn’t follow you forever like these summoned ones do, you’re keeping them in combat by trying to fight them half the time, now I know some of that was hamstring and trying to slow or stun them but sometimes the worst thing you can do is attack and use abilities because you’re keeping them in combat, too, when otherwise they may have retreated at some point. My guess here is he just didn’t know the totem mobs don’t have a chain and will never leash but ya know
Can you also use thunderclap to kill off totems?
that paladins blacklisted on hydraxian waterlords for sure after this haha riperino in pepperoni
I'm just waiting for that sweet Leroy Jenkins video on hardcore.
Most warriors die before 60 but warrior is also the largest amount of level 60 players.
Maybe the Paladin had beef with the rouge and let him die on purpose.
Zanzil skeletons, get in the water, they don't follow.
Hello guys, so which server are you playing on?
I would be interested in playing classic in a hardcore guild like this! I would likely level a bear druid for it.
Me too. You have any clue on how to find a guild for it?
@@juicy3Dstudio To answer both of you if you haven't figured out already. Bloodsail Buccaneers server on NA. Hydraxian Waterlords server on EU. Just ask for a HC invite someone will grab you
as a priest main: it's always the healer's fault
Main reason why I dont care to do this challenge. Not going to rely on random people to keep me alive in encounters.
you don't have to group with people to get to 60 deathless
The only point of dungeons is to get better gear to make leveling in the over world safer/faster. It’s a big risk for potential of big reward. As long as you stay mindful that a lot people playing HC are bad and play accordingly you should be ok
you can do it solo but the game as a base is easy. your stlil not gonna be playing with 100% attention worried youll die. you would have to go out of your way to make it harder.
That ragnar dude got a whole Strath grp to wipe the other day lol
03:10 Omega LUL
Wait I don't understand, Guzu says people 'farm' the boss for the bow, but I thought you can only do a dungeon once per hardcore character? Or is that only while leveling.
Only while leveling
The fact that the Level 60 Warrior is so elusive is what makes it the most sought after class. For me I just can't do it. Give me any other class over Warrior.
Why are they so difficult?
@@digitalconsciousness Well that is actually a lot more difficult to answer short hand have you played Warrior in Vanilla before?
@@digitalconsciousness cuz they're damage and tankiness is pretty mediocre compared to other classes and they have to always be in melee range to do anything and once they commit they can't get out and their o shit button is like a 30min cd or something. So tldr gotta fight 1 mob at a time in melee with basically not safety net
@ zevrim (sac boss) even melee can los the sacrifice, the boss can be tanked in either corner of the ramp that leeds into the actual bossroom and los like the hunter does just a bit further to the beginning of the ramp
*edit* the warrior death right after was sad af, he wanted to press demo shout but his hs went off so he had no rage and was panicing so hard and all his keybinds he so properly chose were not enough..9 charges left on that goo and no distancing from other mobs in the first place :(
his last words were "heal"
I kind of want to play hardcore as a healer just got hearthstone out of a dungeon at lv 59 after a big pull for rage bait.
good idea making turbo nerds cry is hilarious
Can't imagine playing without nameplates, need all the info you can get
Honestly I played warrior during wow classic because I was told that it would be the true classic experience. I enjoyed it but I always wished that I rolled a rogue instead 😂
how do you choose hardcore
If you don't trust your healer on Zevrim in DME, stack stam and shadow res, pop a shadow pot, and LoS the sac (like the hunter was doing). Don't forget shadow res buff if you have it in your group either. That rogue just need 600 more health worth of resistance, stam, healing, etc, and he would have lived. One low rank shadow pot would have been enough. Other good consumes would be a gift of arthas, fort pot, food buff, beer for health, etc.
Also the shadow word pain IS dispellable.
there's lots you can do to make sure you rely less on your group. Classic wow is all about prep.
He clearly 'oofed' by healing himself and another party member which didn't need it at the time.
All of these clips of braindeads has me never wanting to touch a dungeon on my hc shaman. Thanks guys LOL.
I would never roll a healer in hardcore. I would 100% fuck something up and piss people off.
remember kids, totem bad, always prio totem. RIP brave warrior
that healer that failed to heal the rogue, they are just like that on warmane icecrown
3:40 0 dispells bot paladin heal
