TANKS INC (PA-4) FUEL PUMP INSTALLATION: Walk through how to install a fuel pump into a gas tank.

Today's video walks through installing the Tanks Inc. (PA-4) Fuel Pump into a gas tank.
I've used the Tanks Inc. PA-4 fuel pump assembly before with great success, so when I had to install a new fuel pump on my new Willy's Jeep, it was an easy decision to go with what works. In this video I go over how to easily cut a hole using a plasma cutter, walk through the PA-4 fuel pump assembly, and finish the installation into my gas tank. It can be a messy job, but hopefully if you can take away a few tips, your installation will be a bit cleaner.

I know this is a really old video, but I've machined a fair bit of stainless. If I were a betting man, I'd say you were running the drill bit too fast. Stainless work hardens, and the heat between the drill bit and the part goes way up to the point that it softens the cutting edges of the drill. Next time you're drilling stainless reduce the RPMs and apply more pressure.

Are you running a 3800 supercharged buick . If so I am installing a 1995 buick riviera 3800 m22 rock crusher in a 1956 cj5 . I am watching to see how to get fuel to it .

Yes, it’s out of a 1998 Grand Prix GTP. I’m running an in tank fuel pump from Tanks inc. I’ll see if I can’t rummage up the link to it.
Are you using the original CJ tank?

@@offroadwizard1928 so unless I find a small fuel cell that go's under the seat . Can a inline pump work for this engine. And how big of a pump does it need to be thanks for replying . There is so little info on this engine swap especially with the m22 installation.

@@davidbroome6437 Sorry, I just saw this. Yes you could use a inline pump. The ratio I see used is 10 HP per 1 GPH (gallon per hour) for Fuel injection. So you need at least 23 GHP fuel pump. You don't want the pump to run really hard so I'd look for a minimum of 40 GPH pump. The 3800 has a return line and is regulated at the fuel rail so you can't really get too big a pump. The excess just gets returned to the tank.
