Join us today as we Take you to the Droid Depot at Disneyland's newest land, Galaxy's Edge. Today we build a custom Droid at the Droid Depot, her name is R2-D1VA and she's a sassy little R2 Unit. All Droids are $99 dollars and you can choose its characteristics by purchasing a personality Chip for $12.99 but it's optional. Personalities include First Order, Resistance, or Smuggler. it was a fun but pricey experience and I can really see myself building another droid at Droid Depot in the distant future!

avoid buying the extra colors, wouldnt be nothing to take the accessories you have and painting or even better using vinyl wrap to customize the look ;)

I use a mixture of Adobe Premiere pro and Sony Vegas Pro for editing and for the Thumbnails I use a mixture of Photoshop and Lightroom hope this helps 😀

The bb is harder to use, it spins and u dont have alot to put on it (only the round shaped cable. The R2 is easier to use and it has alot of accesories

Exactly, wtf! They only had bodies in white, blue, red, and black, none of which match the silver/pink head she chose, and then there weren't any pink insert pieces for the legs and body, either.
For a company that focusses like 80% of its time and effort on selling toys and trinkets, you'd think they would've done a better job with these things! ... Then again, I guess they didn't have to, did they, since suckers buy them anyway.
Totally agree they need to have like 20 different color schemes including chrome parts
@@tyrroo I think she has to pay extra for the pink or purple inserts she chose before leaving the shop. I agree, if they're going to offer a head in a certain color, there should be matching inserts at the build station.

In 2020 we'll probably get a D-O variant (from The Rise of Skywalker) and a few more options for the other droids. But I think it's a really cute idea, building your own personalized droid (and also lightsaber) in a Star Wars park. You're basically paying for the experience.

I will be there in a year! It'll take me that long to talk myself into NOT BUYING AND MAKING ONE! ! BUT......... it will be my 70th birthday, hmmmm 😞😊 They are REALLY cute though ! !

You could easily build an entire theme park out of the Star Wars universe, but Disney not only nailed it but hit it out of the park with this portion of Disneyland! Loving the droid and lightsaber workshops! Great vid!

Sorry to rain on everybody’s parade, but I kid you not! I saw those exact r2 units at RadioShack before it went under several years ago! They came with the same little remote control, but they are literally the exact same unit! It even had the same feature to communicate with other droids! The difference, was the price and decals! They were 30 bucks instead of 100! Still, I guess this is proof that Disney and Star Wars fanatics will eat whatever vomit Disney gives them. Even if it’s price is jacked up 300%! There were days when Disney actually had quality stuff that was worth the money. Now it’s just under quality over price! Oh Disney, what have you become?!?

Nice video, but I have a couple of questions. (1) does the droid run on batteries or do you charge it? (2) how much was the backpack? (3) what personality chip did u use (of u got a chip)?
Brenda Martinez the batteries die after a couple hours and uses D batteries. 😩
Other you tubers have said it takes AA batteries I’m the body and AAA for the remote.
