(Lyrics)
ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Eddie: i'm gonna do all the things for you
a girl wants a man to do, oh baby
i'll sacrifice for you
i'll even do wrong for you, oh baby
every minute, every hour
i'm gonna shower
you with love and affection
look out it's comin in your direction
Chorus: and i'm gonna make you love me
oh, yes i will yes i will
i'm gonna make you love me
oh, yes i will yes i will
Diana: lookie here my love is strong you see
i know you'll never get tired of me ooh baby (sure won't)
and i'm gonna use every trick in the book
i'll try my best to get you hooked hey baby (take me i'm yours)
and every night, every day
i'm gonna say
i'm gonna get ya, i'm gonna get ya
look out boy cause i'm gonna get ya
Chorus: i'm gonna make you love me
ooh yes i will yes i will
and i'm gonna make you love me
ooh yes i will yes i will (you know i will)
Diana: every breath i take
and each and every step i make
brings me closer baby, closer to you
Otis: and with each beat of my heart
for every day we're apart
i hunger for every wasted hour
Eddie: and oh every night and every day
i'm gonna get ya, i'm gonna get ya
look out cause i'm gonna get ya
Chorus (fade out) Видеоклипы
This is one of my FAVORITE SONGS EVER!!!!
Me, too!!
This song was one of the greatest duets of all times!!
This song was one of the greatest duets of the times, between the temptations and the supremes. Eddie Kendricks and Diana Ross melted our hearts with their singing
I was 11 years old and my mother let me and sisters stay up and watch The Temps and The Surpremes sing this song on the Ed Sullivan show. Whenever I hear this song, I start ballin' like a little punk and I'm 55 years old. I remember the good ole days and miss them deeply.
shadesamgazine, I was alittle older than you then, but my mother & I too watched them sing this song on the Ed Sullivan Show.
This is when artist were simply fabulous, there is no one today that you can call Fabulous, like Kendricks, Ruffin and the Boss lady, as a matter of fact they were all Fabulous; and so was this song.
I can never sit still while listening to Dianna Ross.
These songs are over the charts. This was the real deal.
" my love is strong...you see...i KNOW you'll NEVER get tired of me......oh bay-bayyyyy" now THAT'S some goooooood lovin' ....
Oh Lord Have Mercy! My baby, Eddie Kendricks. Whew! I get goose bumps everytime I listen to him sing, especially on this song. He sung the hell out of this song. It's like he put everything he had into this song more than he ever did. I love, love me some Eddie Kendricks more than any other artists ever and I am a music connisuer from the ol' school. He and Diana sounded good together. I wish we still had artists and music like this, but unfortuantely that kind of talent is a thing of the past.
This is the era of Great music and singing. Rip. Will forever miss it.
I love Eddie's smooth, flexable voice. Puts me to sleep everytime I'm restless.
This is why Motown was sooo great.
Now rap :(
Eddie Kendricks had a voice of an Angel, his voice had "MASS APPEAL" it was virtually impossible not to like it... SMOOTH as Ice. Him and Daviid, what a combination... Thank you GOD for them both...
i'm gonna use every trick in the book ...oh my what a beautiful song.....love it .
Eddie Eddie Eddie! Lord Have Mercy! Noone can touch him when it comes to his falsetto singing. A couple of his replacements over the years sounded close to his voice, but absolutely noone can match his distinct beautiful falsetto singing. He tore this song up!!
I can tell his voice from them by a mile
I love this song!!! Its sweet and touching... a different time indeed. Timeless love song!
This sounds better than it did when I first heard it when I was 13 years old. I can't believe how fantastic this music is!
One of my absolute all-time favorites, forever and always.
Some of the best music ever produced
The Best!! Never performed better!!
this song introduced me to tamla motown then on to northern soul, my life changed for the better, for ever.

Diana Ross was born to entertain us. WOW!!!!!
Both versions of this song are great classics. With Stevie or Eddie and the TEMPTATIONS, classic Motown all the way. THANK YOU & GOD BLESS.
Completely and utterly brilliant.
MASTERPIECE !!!!! 2 forces of Greatness,,,it will never happen again !!!!!!
I loveeeee them . Every song they sang was so beautiful .
A song this good doesn't need a video. Besides, that picture captures it all.
You know that this is some of the best lyric writing of all the MOTOWN HITS.....
this was and still is a beautiful song. after all these years still sounding good. what a great time to have been at motown. eddie's voice is so angelic like. and there's only one diana ross. thanks for posting.

That Eddie Kendricks...The brother was badd!
Just reminds me of being little at my grandmothers house sippin on real homemade iced tea sitting under a tree...happy days :-)
Fabulous! Just Fabulous!! This reminds me of the beginning of an era when my family and I would travel from Brazil to Terre Haute, IN (where we were orginally from) to visit my Uncle Bob and Aunt Rita, along with my wonderful cousins: Terri, Pam, Randy, Steve, and Stephanie Phillips!! It was a great time in my life!
No better Music than Motown.
Been listening since I was 12.
😊💜
love the Supremes. always make me think of spring, and summer. but regardless, just love them. Miss Ross, you are the best.

Nothing strikes my Motown fancy more than this wonderful collaboration between some of my favorite artists.
Wow, sounds even better than in 1969 - like a great wine - only improves. (Especially with all the contemporary X-factor sh!t around) . . .
BEAUTIFUL ❤❤❤
@jetbirdzme That`s one of the amazing things about music, just a few seconds of a certain song can transport us back into whatever mindset we were in at that time.Ok so we `nicey nicey` it up a little ( for me I remember every day being sunny when I was a kid........in England, yeah right !!!!!!!!! ) but so what, it`s a yummy feeling to enjoy a little slice of nostalgia every now and then, anyway thanks for your reminiscenses and your kind words.
I'm gonna make you love me tony. There is no mountain high enough for me to get to you
One of the best ever tunes :)
i think one of their best songs. I first heard it on the radio on thanksgiving evening 1968...i was only 12!

" I'm Gonna Make You Love Me ", in 1969, reached # 2 in the USA single charts, # 3 in UK , # 8 in CANADA, # 7 in AUSTRALIA, # 16 in NEW ZEALAND and # 27 in HOLLAND .
Diana Ross is the only FEMALE SINGER to have received 3 PLATINUM records for singles : “ Someday will be together “, 1969 ( but certified by RIIA in August 1997 ) - “ I’m gonna make you love me “ , 1969 ( but certified by RIIA in August 1997 ) , and “ Endless Love” ( certified by RIIA in October 1981) . At the time, in USA, singles were certified platinum records for sales over two million copies).
This is the real music. I was too little but I learned the music from my older brothers and sisters. And from then on it has been heaven ever since. The music they make today should be ashamed of themselves.
This is when music was great.
Que bella canción con la gran interpretación de supremos y Diana ross
A forever classic, with forever ❤️

Sweet voiced Eddie Kendricks duetting with Diana. Nice.
very nice, I'm gonna get ya, I'm gonna get ya, I got to know this music from the 60's and I am proud of it. I'd say spread it to be not forgotten.
