This is the best demonstration video I've seen bro right on ✊🏾! I couldnt figure sumn out and this video jus showed me straight to the point what it is lol.
Got the same clutch but it keeps moving around when I drive it lol what do you think is the problem I tightened the Allen screw as far as I can but it still wiggle it’s way out
Bushings are prob worn out. May be time for a new one.... you could try replacing some parts depending on what mode you have, or how expensive it is. If it’s a lower priced clutch, I’d go with a new one. Thanks for watching.
It would’ve been nice if you would’ve showed a little bit of a slower video with you using the Allen key to remove the clutch I just bought a torque converter and I’m having a hell of a time remove my clutch because I didn’t have any kind of a screw to hold it in and all I seen you doing fast forward was using an Allen tool to loosen one of the set screws but I guess I’m gonna have to look for the set screws
Sorry Christopher. For sure should have. Mine has 2 set screws. Yours may be covered in dirt or chain oil. Sorry for the late response. I hope you got it going. If not try spraying it down with degreaser. Thanks for watching.
@@dustysrandom5079 Yeah now the problem I’m having is this even when I use red Loctite to put the two sets screws in every time I put my chain on and I go take a ride it’ll ride and then all the sudden the chain will slip off every time
Check your tension and alignment. It should be one of the two unless you have some worn teeth. Loosen all the motor mounts and wiggle it, stand back and take a look. You should be able to get it near perfect. If your out of motor mount room to tighten and loosen you may need to remove or add a chain link. It’s common for them to stretch. They even make half lengths if you need them. Good luck!
Dusty, could use a little help. I placed a new predator 79cc on my kids gokart. I bought a 5/8 12t 35 clutch and chain direct replacement to match the previous but the kart goes no where. I did no modifications to the engine. Any thoughts? kids are dying to ride. I lif tteh back end up and wheels spin like it works but once under load ...nothing.
Could be a couple things. Idle set too high. Turn the idle screw counter clockwise to just before the engine wants to quit. Set the idle as low as possible with out the engine quitting. Also if you have your cart wheels up, they will constantly roll. So cautiously try to stop the wheels when you try this. If this doesn’t work, your clutch is prob stuck open (pads constantly touching the bell housing). You can take the clutch apart and grease it. All but the pad contact areas to the bell. They often stick open like that. If greasing it doesn’t fix it. I’d try a new clutch. $20 on amazon. Let me know how it goes. Thanks for watching.
I'm having the same problem with my go-kart I think it might be the clutch you said I can order one on Amazon is there a certain model I need to look for I really appreciate the video I'm trying to fix this go-kart for my son wish me luck
Order from ebay/Amazon er go kart/scooter suppliers online for best deal/s. My old clutch has set screws, new 1 does Not, so I had to use the 5/16" fine thread bolt w/ washer to hold new clutch on.
If it were me I would have shortened the spring. The spring in cheap clutches can't take heat like better quality clutch springs and go bad. A spring with proper tension makes it difficult to reassemble though. If you notice in the video he puts the shoes and spring back on. If the spring was a good spring he would never be able to assemble it that easy. Assembling a good 6 shoe (SS) clutch is not easy. Another person helping or the proper rig to make assembly easier is the way to go.
Do you know if all the Centrifigul clutches are the same THICKNESS? because i bought a new engine for a mini bike and the shaft is the same diameter (3/4) but its 1/2 shorter than the one on my old engine. Now when i try to install the cintrifugal clutch its too big for it. Is there ANYTHING i can do to make it work??
Thanks for sharing. Looks like your kart drives Both rear wheels like mine. Having trouble w/ mine: ruclips.net/video/2NYm4Q9L-dk/видео.html Any idea/s on that issue? thanks again, - take care
Good vid. I like the way you moved quickly through the process of taking apart and showing us with comments how to do it. Thanks!

Dusty’s Random what bolt did you use for the clutch
5/16 fine thread is what the predator 212 takes. I did not use one. Just the set screw. Thanks for watching, hope this helps you.

Amazon is where I have gotten the inexpensive ones recently. But eBay would be good also.
So what was wrong with other clutch mines looks about the same lol

@@Deucealive75 well not with that method anyways but yeah I hear ya, I have a max torque clutch now yeet!
Dusty what sprocket do I use for the clutch like the one on the video please anyone
Sorry I’m a little late here, I think this one is a 65 tooth, #35 chain. The clutch is a 12 tooth
What kind of motorcycle is the club?

Guess I’ve never seen that, these (around) 200cc engines usually all use the same crank. What brand is it?
Wow.. Good idea

HiLo
If your over 30 you must have a mullet before riding a go kart 😂🤣😂
It’s not quite a mullet now but I did have a righteous mullet in the 90’s.
