I prefer the DB11. The front is more refined and elegant. The user interface is better on the DB12, but that's secondary to the driving experience. Both have fabulous interiors with the lovely smell of leather. Both are well planted on the road and even though the DB12 has more power, the DB11 is more than adequate.
The infotainment hardware and software are proprietary. I think the instrument cluster is too. From memory the engine is an Aston modified AMG unit and one of the only Mercedes components on the car. When you look at Lamborghini and Bentley, you'll find an Audi or a Porsche underneath. Aston Martin and Ferrari are a couple of the few proprietary, stand alone chassis/body makers, almost all others parts share.
Today's engine management systems are directly linked with the car's infotainment system and electrical architecture. It's one large unit, a bit like our nervous system. AMG sells that setup to Aston, and Aston programs/tunes it to its liking.
That delay would 6:33 drive me insane you are nuts if you think that’s a good thing. My tv remote has a delay I always think maybe I didn’t push it enough or correctly so I do it again now the tv goes past what I wanted
A good review but something just soudns wrong with the mic, it feels like my ear is ringing the whole time to listen to the audio
Awesome review.
Awesome vehicle 😎👍

With you on the exterior. DB11 looked better. However, interior of the DB12 far surpasses that of the DB11.
