The reality of Splash Mountain: a log full of adults saying “SHIT I’M SOAKED” and “OH GOD I HATE THIS RIDE WHY DID I DO THIS AHHHH”
😂👏🏻 I rarely go on Splash Mountain because I don’t want to get soaked and it’s such a gamble even if you sit towards to back. But it’s a fun ride and I really wanna see the new refurbishments now that it’s warming up!
Mandi Lutz Whenever I go on splash mountain I usually bring a poncho with me so I don’t get wet. Plus you can always ask cast members if you want to sit in the back, they’ll gladly let u do it!
Ahem Swearing? Huh??
Splash mountain is the best ride to ever struck the planet, I rode this 3 times in a row and I enjoyed every second of it all 3 times, even getting soaked
The one at Disney World is even better
Nah
Black spotted artist that is nice. My favorite ride at Disney World and Disney Land is the Haunted Mansion
@tgguitarguy, no it’s not. Disneyland’s has more of a thriller there are no seat bars to keep you down, so it adds more of a thrill vs Disney World which doesn’t add a thrill because it has a seat bar to hold you down
This is awesome to hear full grown adults freak out and act like kids...this is what Dland is about!
Exactly!!
You got that right. :)
Mario Martinez I wish Legoland had this mentality.
I just want to ride the wild mouse and play with Legos man.
at this point I'm surprised they don't add more rollercoasters. Lego's are geared to adults as much as they are to kids. All one has to do is look at the $400 Lego sets, no kid can afford that or put those larger sets together!
Mario Martinez dland? What’s Dland? It’s Disneyland -_-
Went on this for the first time last week. As a Florida local, I didn't expect to get very wet like the Splash Mountain at Magic Kingdom. People seem to like the scenes better in Florida but I actually prefer this one. The only negative is how wet you get compared to MK.
Been a long time since I saw Brer Rabbit on the handcar working!
SupNYPark saw that too. Never knew it was even there
Handcar? Can someone give me a time?
AJ Pollard 4:38
The new LED's on the Zip-a-Dee Lady looks great, I'm happy all the burnt out lights and animatronics were fixed.
The splashes seem bigger. A LOT bigger. It also seems to be brighter in there too.
Jared Ungar They definitely are XD it may have been because of the weight of the log though.
It seems to be brighter because this is a low-light camera, which means it picks up way more light than the human eye can, making it seem brighter. Low-light cameras are good for highlighting details in dark areas
Its brighter because they replaced all lights in there during refurbishment, it looks way cooler now.
I was there last week the drop is still the same (50ft) and I’m pretty sure they replaced the lights.
The splashes are actually fake, they shoot pumps at you, that's why in winter you dont get wet
I really love to see all the lights inside! They did a good job.
Disney Goofballs
D.
LoL! Looks more fun than before :D Glad to see all the characters back in proper lighting finally.
Gotta love everyone's exclamations of fear as you ascend up the final climb lmao.
Still weird how one of disney's most controversial movies is the source material for one of it's most beloved attractions.
Which will now be reimagined to the Princess and the Frog
@@tylerdinkydooamusementmadn6368 ITS GONNA BE AMAZING!!!!
welp.
@@imaginatenation3697 no
That didn’t age well
The lights in the rollercoaster part into The Laughing Place is a nice touch. They really did a great job. This is still my favorite version over WDW.
That moment when your favorite ride after being closed for months is re opening two friggin days after you leave Disney. AND PIXAR FEST IS LITERALLY THE NEXT DAY
I just love how it reopened four days after I left Disneyland...
Aleea Marie The closures and openings are on the Disney site. I planned my recent trip on April 20 around closures and openings. I rode Splash, hit matterhorn after a short closure and rode pirates before it closed for scheduled maintenance. 😉
HOORAAAY! Just in time for Summer!
Can't wait to ride it!
I’m so happy . I go to Disneyland ALOT . Like almost every 2 weeks , and I’ve been waiting for the past 4 months for this ride to reopen:)
I'm not the only one who thinks Splash Mountain is the instant regret of Disneyland rides, also the drop makes it feel like the bottom of my stomach falls.
everything look so much greener and brighter! i love it!
This ride is absolutely amazing. I remember I went on this ride recently and I was SOAKKKKED!! Not only that, on the first drop, my shoes and socks were SOAKKKKKKING wet!!
They did a great job with the update. Thank you for the FPV.
Now I just want to go to Disneyland
Nick Gulan thats disney world
Mattie Kelly are you sure...
ɗiรɳɛy wѳʀʆɗ yѳu ɱɛɑɳ
Nick Gulan I wanna go again too I haven’t been there in almost eight years maybe more then eight years
Madison Runge Disneyland you mean
"Uh oh."
"Don't tell me. We're about to go over a huge waterfall."
"Uh huh."
"Sharp rocks at the bottom?"
"Most likely."
"Bring it on."
Thank you for this!!! We were at Disneyland on 4/9 and it was closed ☹️, glad it’s up and running now ☺️☺️
Thank you for making this video. I went last month and it was awesome! I got soaking wet! I had an amazing 😉 trip there!
I miss the part where brer bear says "there's nothing in here but bees!" Hasn't been saying it for at least a year. I was hoping they'd replace that, but apparently no. Glad they fixed some other stuff, but still looks like some of the fountain effects still aren't working down in the "bee" part near the u-turn?! They had all that time to fix it!
Splash and Indy....they seen to only be able to achieve around 85% of fixing things
micksplace so sad, the snake in indie is not working!
Actually, I went on splash mountain the 2nd day it re-opened from refurb, the water bouncing up and down was broken. A week after, they worked just fine. I assume they fixed it overnight.
I remember seeing splash mountain when I was little. Thank you for refreshing my memory, I could not figure out what it was after all these years! 😂
Sadly the day it reopened, it was closed down again.😭
A few hours after the ride re-opened, it went down temporarily. Ironic.
Sorcerer Parker it probably broke down
It did break down
Omg_I_Love_Disney Refurbishents unfortunately do not make rides breakdown-proof. Splash mountain has been broken down all day today...
And on the Disneyland App today, it shows it's "Temporarily" closed.....
splash mountain: where you instantly make friends with other parties that got paired up in the same log as you
thats a fact when i went i was on a single rider line talking to some guy i never talked to, we were instantly friends once we got the same log somehow
You definitely can see the the characters much clearly now and it's not as dark as before. I think they did a good job.
I had no idea it had been refurbed! Excited to see this :D
When I went it was closed I was sad bc it was my first time going to Disneyland but I'm going again this July and I'm so excited to get on this it's gonna be an amazing first experience 😁
I'm going some time in May. I can't wait! I haven't been to Disneyland for at least 4 years
LOL THE GUY THAT WAS LIKE "I don't like this ride at all!" hahhh
and the drop right after he says it -- priceless :)
that's an awesome looking splash at the big drop!!
This gave me joy, this is a group of people I would love to go with.
I went on this ride when i was at Disneyworld a few weeks ago.
The 50 ft drop scared the hell outta me, but i LOVED it.
I was so disappointed to have missed this! I was even there on Sat. 4/14 when it was supposed to have been re-opened... but no such luck for this kid. Perhaps next time. Lights certainly look better and the grassy greens look better too... perhaps they got a refresh too?
I've Been On The Splash Mountain Log Flume Boat Ride At Disneyland Resort In Anaheim Near Los Angeles In The United States Of America Back In Easter 2016. It Was Based On The 1946 Oscar Winning Disney Live Action And Animatied Movie Song Of The South. It Was Awesome. Thanks Mate. X
The fluorescent lights at the laughing place scene look so much better. Btw kudos to maintenance for making the splashes bigger
Official opening day I was probably one of the first ten people on the ride lmao I saw it was open and no further questions BOOKED it over there and walked right on three times in a row
I was at Disneyland about 2 weeks ago and sadly never got to go on splash mountain since it was still closed at the time but I am really hoping to come back and go on it
Love those huge splashes really helps when it’s 90 degrees outside
Wow!! Disneyland truly makes you a kid. It deserves the name, happiest place on earth. And the same thing goes with WDW and the international parks. I just love the anticipation of going down the drop. People are yelling “OMG HERE WE GO” “AAAAAAA”
Then the drop comes and you’re screaming like crazy and once the drop levels under the tunnel you get that big splash that splash’s allover you.
#Disneylandisthebest
It's back baby
Went to Disneyland in May for a band trip, it was so amazing! It was kind of near closing time so there were no lines for Splash Mountain so my friends and I kept going on it, we went on it 3 times before we had to go and we were completely soaked.
hilarious especially at the big drop!
I just compared this to the 2017 version! There are more plants and the painting looks new. I love Splash!
i came back from there around 3 weeks ago it was so fun!
YAYYY SO EXCITED TO RIDE IT
Yay it finally came back!
Holy cow, that splash on the last drop was huge
Love this ride
Looks like they fixed the lighting and made the drops give you more Splash, overall decent refurb, glad it didn't change much, this is my favorite ride in the park
This is easily the best I've seen Splash condition-wise in years
Closed last time I went. Going in October, looking forward to it. Went on in 4th grade and scared the crap out of me lmao🤣
Same it was closed last time I went but I'm going In October and praying it won't be 2 cold
Yayy it's back!
Going to Disneyland for a week in May, I'm so excited to ride this! The last time I went was in 2015, I've missed it
Wolffteeth I've been to Disney parks 6 times and I've only ridden this ride the first and last times I've been cuz every other time its been closed for refurbishment
Wolffteeth I'm going in May too. I haven't been to Disneyland in at least 4 years.
Jake Goodman I'm going in may too guys ! Haven't been there since January
Wolffteeth my last time was almost 8 years
A whole week? Wow. When I go it’s for one day and I get both parks done
ITS BACK BABY!! LETS GO!
I like your vides next year I'm getting on splash mountain
Dude that splshis are bigger and waht parts did you get wet at
Fun ride 😀😄
IM GOING TO DISNEYLAND ON FRIDAY!!!!!! SO EXCITED
A rare clear day in Southern California. You can actually see the Santa Ana Mountains!
Refurb looks great. Always one of my families' favorities. Too bad the guy in front of you had his cell phone out most of the time but there's always one who does. Thanks for posting.
Going to Disney in a month can’t wait!!!!
4:36 HES MOVING AGAIN! ugh I’m so happy
I've been to Disneyland. I was at Disneyland in Feb 19 2018. And I saw splash Montain was closed.
Lights look better now.
NotVelociraptor DCP fam 👋🏼👍🏼
Hey man I just have to say I am a big fan of your videos, when I am having a rough day, watching a Disney pov really picks me up, and your quality of video is awesome! Keep up the good work and keep more coming!! Also, is there any other social media I can follow on?

Cool! Thanks so much!
Love the video
What kind of camera do you use?
I'm definitely going back to Splash Mountain
Going to Disneyland in April! Hopefully I will get to ride Splash Mountain. Last time I went to Disneyland I didn't ride Splash Mountain because I was little.
One word for splash mountain and any water rides like grizzly run and kali river rapids: ponchos. You won't regret it just get the reusable ones from Walmart
Was there april 14 and 15th and it kept closing throughout the day :( it would be open for an hour or so and it would be temporarily closed
The finale is just wow
I'm disappointed that I didn't go on it the last time I was there and that was last weekend. well, maybe better luck next time. but glad to see this video shows that the ride is alive and well
The Amazing Kashmir It’s alright because it wasn’t even opened last weekend. It just finished being refurbished.
Going to Disney tomorrow and staying the night! Can’t wait to get on this again?
2 words, America Sings
Renster Mario Yes the critters from America Sings were moved to Splash Mountain and this changed the title Bear Country to Critter Country.
I got to ride it on Thursday on the soft opening before anyone! It was awesome!!! I was like the 9th person to ride it!
mastroga21 what changes did you notice?
Sarah Meyers they changed the angle of the drop from 47 degrees to 45 degrees
I have NEVER seen a final splash that big! Wow!
I have. It's funny to see, especially with bigger guests. People crying because "mY hAiR gOt WeT!1!1" is the best though.
Sometimes I just watch Disneyland rides on RUclips just to get the feeling of being on them because I don’t have a ticket. :,)
Already miss this ride :(
I was there! Sadly it shut down before we got on;(
UGGGGG I WENT THERE ON feb 17 my birthday and the ride was closed and it’s my favorite ride
I haven't been on this ride in years. Did they put more drops in? I remember it being less rough with less splash until the final drop.
I love the aesthetics of the laughing place
oh my god i went yesterday and it was closed but OF COURSE IT OPENS BACK UP ON THE DAY I LEFT YESTERDAY.
Oh god, definitely more intense than the Orlando version. You get wetter and there’s that roller coaster portion. Definitely a number of technical issues here. Looks like new lights including on the coaster section.
I went on this ride first thing in the morning with my band friends (we were on a field trip) and we didn't get wet because the ride wasn't completely filled. We were also the only ones there. Still terrifying though XD
what camera did you use? the quality of the low light is amazing!
Did they change the ‘boats’ to have actual bars that come over your lap like WDW or do they still just have handles at the sides?
Oh come on! I was there April 13, and they were still testing
4:57 -- that rider got Karma with that next big drop lol :)
My favorite water ride of all time.
7:36: Pick the joke
*Me in my Cleveland Brown voice* No No No No No Nooooooo!
or
Don’t tell me, we’re about to go over a huge waterfall.
at 9:23 Brer Rabbit is singing a LOT faster than the background music in the ride. Hopefully that gets fixed!
thank goodness!
Lucky. I tried to go on but it was shut down. So jealous.
When I went to Disneyland on may 14 and went on splash mountain I got so wet that I was shaking so bad BUT you should really get on it because it’s a lot of fun
