So we've got the James' hour, which is an hour of a panel where every panelist is James Acaster, as is everyone in the audience. Then we have the "No James' Hour" right after, which just has the one (cause its the "no JamesES" hour - you're allowed to have one).
Question is: which Jame is the unlucky one that has to do two shows back-to-back?

And that the pyramids were built by aliens in the future, because of the speed of light, and we're going to need them at some point (the pyramids, not the aliens), so they were sent back...
Now, not to spend too much time deconstructing that, but if aliens in the future built them, wouldn't they know when we're going to need them (you know, with all that 'future knowledge'), and then send them back to the time of need, rather than thousands of years before that need? I think I may have found a small crack in her theory...

This is my only exposure to her, but I spent the whole vid unsure of whether she is actually that thick, or very good at playing thick for comic relief... "next you'll be telling me evolution is real" seems like the kind of thing you'd say if you knew full well that it was real, but want to make people laugh at your apparent ignorance...

That Jordan was either a huge fanboy of James or too good of a sport. He was genuinely pleased with James every time James got an answer right.

James is literally one of the funniest people on the planet. And it is a natural funny. Nothing is forced with him. He is pure funny.

I saw his story about appearing in the quiz show called " House of Games " and how everyone was such a prick to him there and how much it affected him. Watching him enjoy this show and genuinely have fun melts my heart. He is so damn precious we need to protect him at all costs.

It doesnt just mean an idea or proposition
A scientific theory can be repeatedly tested and proven through various scientific methods , obvservational protocols, measurements etc.
It has to withhold an immense amount of scrutiny. Every established scientific theory has gone through years of academic dispute and counterarguments from sceptics from diverse fields of research.
Established theories such as evolution, heliocentism etc. wont fundamentally change anymore because they are proven to be right in so many cases.
Futhermore , science doesnt claim to be 100% factual thruth.
BUT It's the closest approximation to truth that mankind given its present knowledge and perception can achieve .
Does that mean somethings might be wrong and subject to change , yes! And it constantly does. scientific progress means to modify and improve theories through new experimental technologies and testing.
Does it mean the factual truth is something completely different. NO!
So it's not just a theory.
Its a well established scientific theory.
By trying to dismiss it like that youre ridiculing yourself and just proving your lack of understanding for scientific reasearch

I love Jordan's arc here. Starting by getting annoyed at Scarlett's wrong answer when she said "Leprechaun" and when she chose E, then excitedly agreeing with her when she said "Fables" instead of "Fake", and finally getting annoyed at her when she said "Jelly" when the answer was in fact "Jelly".
Perfect parallel, perfect payoff, perfect pair.
It's like Jordan first had the working brain cell, then they both had half the working brain cell, and finally Scarlett had the working brain cell.

scarlett's theories are genuinely terrifying and i'm so befuddled about how she can genuinely believe them
the difficult thing to understand is why some cretin decided she would contribute to this or any other show.
It's the disinformation age. Anyone can read pure bullshit online and stupid people think it's real because they not only cannot tell the difference, but they also are so stupid that they doubt doctors, scientists, educated persons, because they don't like to believe that they're stupid. They want to believe they have extra special secret knowledge about the universe that the "so called experts" don't want you to know about, and that gives them an ego boost, and since they operate purely on whichever answer makes them feel the most emotions (thus, they believe stuff that boosts their ego or makes them very angry and scared) they just go with the strange provocative bullshit answer instead of the boring true answer.

My guess is that people like this believe whatever sounds most contrary because it makes them feel smart without putting in the effort to make well-researched, well-reasoned decisions―what actually being smart is about.

He really came into his own when he realized he actually had to PRESS THE BUZZER
I think James is perfect for that weird wholesome Christmassy charm, perfect guest for this show.
When he picked the “H” and they all ‘ooh’d you can tell he was about to say it was inevitable but he decided to keep with the fumbling, clueless character because it was funnier. That’s a professional, I couldn’t have resisted defending myself.
