How is it he can manage to look like he's taking the piss while actually making some really decent arguments. Like the Piers Morgan thing, he's clearly not actually being mean to Lorraine cause he's making jokes about Penguins and Superman but he also manages to make some really good points about his stance on Piers Morgan and how just because he did something right, doesn't mean he's suddenly a hero.
He’s just brilliant at the deadpan sarcasm, some people don’t get it (those people are dumb and don’t have a sense of humour!) but I thought Lorraine took it well
Yeah, I was really impressed with this. Whenever relatively trusted figures normalize some psychotic media villain because they did one good thing, you start hearing people around you making the same arguments and then suddenly it's fine for Boebert to pester Jewish tourists about doing "reconnaissance."
Glad that you pointed it out! You can't usually read their signatures in the beginning, so he probably thought that only Josh would notice. They do have a TV show together. I think it's on Dave, but I'm not sure. Edit: Ok so I should have listened to the rest of the video. The only thing that I left out was the name of the show! Lol
oh? I thought they struck a good balance, with James' v good point being heard but also all working to diffuse the tension (incl. James) so they could make a good, relatively light entertainment show. I mean, they had to make some jokes about it, his initial reaction was pretty funny/extreme
oh don't worry about the edit - it's really good! and i really appreciate all the efforts you put in your videos! thank you so much and have a nice day ;)
Why, it's Little Alex Horne! I guess the terrible pun that was the Horne Section wasn't just a gag when l read about it on Taskmaster's Wikipedia page.
They became hidden everywhere when Taskmaster went to Channel 4. But in many countries you can find every Taskmaster episode in full on the official Taskmaster YT!
Hold up... Weatherspoons have *_carpet?_* I'm American, I watch enough British content to be aware of what a Spoons is but I had no idea they were CARPETED. That is disgusting.
yes, sticky and even though the smoking ban was 15 years ago, every carpeted pub still smells like cigarettes, because god forbid anyone get any carpet cleaners in.
😹 “I’m gonna mess up some more and then I can make some really good resolutions for the following year.” I am really uncomfortable with their not wearing masks =\ I just hope there wasn’t any live audience and that everyone is okay 🤞🏻🤞🏻
There was not actually a live audience, and they were clearly kept at least 6 ft apart except for when they had plexiglass dividers between them during the pub quiz, and if you pay attention, you’ll notice them mention that when they switch seats, they wipe them down in between.
@@penelopew77 thanks =] but social distancing without masks is not safe at six feet, and the cdc has revised their idea that 6 feet with masks is far enough to begin. And none of them are wearing masks , and they’re indoors, what about the air circulation ?
@@penelopew77 my bad I was wrong about the last leg, o got confused because of the cardboard cut out hahah, but I know that would I lie to you and countdown had live audience which is still pretty weird
So much for the social distancing diring the pub quiz part. Why bother to keep people apart when your going to shove them all within inches of each other? Also they made them all go sit in each other's spots, presumably without sanitizing them in between, although this is abbreviated so maybe they did, but again why bother if they are going to cram them all together at the end? Having written all that it has no relation to the awesome quality of the show; just that they don't seem to understand the whole point of social distancing. Is the UK no longer supposed to social distance? I hope that's the case and they've all been vaccinated or somehow completely rid themselves of the virus!
The “Go fuck yourself” moment was incredible. James is a hero. Lol
I like how James is able to consistently get laughs out of “big time man” every time he says it, on absolutely any show
"have you got anything you want to promote this year?"
"yes.. uh, peac an- peace and love"
*visible disappointment*

i cant believe little alex horne has a job outside of taskmaster. good for him
he was at 8 out of 10 cats does countdown first tho right? Anyway that's where I first saw him with his band
@@mrSam3ooo i did see him on there once! apparently hes been on the show 8 times, hot diggity
Taskmaster is created, executive produced, and written by him. He’s not so little :)

He needs the income, Greg doesn't pay him
I am starting a rumor James Acaster is the Fourteenth Doctor.
I'd be ok with that. The show would definitely be different, but very funny.
Would be like "huh, ginger? GINGER!!! Oh, it's not natural is it?"
Wait…. Isn’t he?!?
Actually that's not a bad idea. James is odd, quirky and unusual. Those 3 words are pretty much the definition of the Doctor.
DO IT
It kills me that James signed josh widdicombe at the beginning
I hadn’t even noticed!
Can you give me a minute mark by chance, I don't know what you're referring to and I'm curious.
Right at 0:02 !

I love how it's the same people on different shows.
There seem to be about 50 comics in Britain.

thanks for the edits/laughs! hope youre doing well
I don't love the fact that the crew ran with James's comment towards Lorraine. He made a very good point.
I’m confused what you mean
@@IamYoNeighbor what i mean is the more people repeated that joke, the more it invalidated the actual point that James was making
@@cascade9584 ohhh. By crew I thought you meant the like the editors of the program but you meant the comics haha.

Although I agree with you, I think Fiona is right.
It was the right amount of incisive commentary, then the needed diffusal

Looks like James is a fan of the Netflix show "The Queens Gambit". It really is a great show.
i'm so happy that the show i really really wanted him to go on, he has finally went there! BFQ and now LL year ending! ♥
Keep uploading stuff man
It would come as no surprise to anyone that this program had less than two legs.
Little Alex Horne makes this whole show for me
James Acaster, do you peel a roasted pangolin like a banana, or eat it more like an artichoke?

So now Josh is using private drunk footage for laughs. Seems cheap and somewhat nasty, didn't need to be on national TV.
